Neat to see you stopped by our home marina at Bayport! Too bad you couldn’t stop in midland…great butter tarts. Exciting to see our home waters and now we’re getting stoked for summer.
I'm really enjoying your adventure! Although I now live in Kingston, Ontario, you are now pulling to my hometown of Midland. Loving recognizing so many sights along the way. Also, just FYI.....we just call it - 'Georgian Bay.' 😊 Thank you for this awesome series!
Love it, I fish in this river many times and always wonder when does this river ends ans enjoy seeing these boats sail through the river, Georgian Bay is a beautiful river to fish in, lots of Splake. Wonderful.
Y. E. A. H. ‼️ 🎉 You did it 🎉🎉🎉. Now onto the next part of the journey. I must say, what a nice gift, mentioned before 5 the bloopers. All the details of all the locks. Such valuable info to future loopers. So very kind. 😊 ✨🌊💨🛥🏝🌞✨
Awesome video.. Sorry to see u finish the Trent but so pleased u enjoyed it so much...And l think u should do it again.... Maybe we could do a couple in our boat with u...🇨🇦🇨🇦⚓⚓
It was lovely to host you both on your first night on Georgian Bay. Even nicer to meet you two in person and catch up with you at Looperpalozza in Fort Myers in January. All the best 🙂
It has been fantastic getting to know you and your family, Michael! Thank you again for being an amazing host, and we are looking forward to hearing about your adventures when you let loose your lines!
Enjoy your video adventures and this leg of your journey is my home and also known as cottage county. Several Hollywood A listers own a getaway here too. Love the Olie laps, watched them twice
WE were headed to a fishing trip to Northern Ontario, US Memorial weekend 1985, just coming into Parry Sound we were in heavy rain. As we got into Parry we saw a shopping center damaged, trees down, guard rails ripped, tractor trailers laying on their side. Multiple tornadoes had just hit including an F4. We missed it by 20 minutes. Tornadoes that day were all over Ontario, Mi, Oh, Pa NY. A friend was traveling on PA I-79 got under a overpass bridge to avoid the storm, not recommended but was their only choice..
Another great video but sad to see you guys leave even tho this was last year lol, from a Canadian friend to American friend pls come back..❤❤❤.. keep the videos coming
Midland, Penetanguishene, and Port Severn area was my home for 40 years. But now by now you know the further north you go, the scenery gets more beautiful and interesting. Anchoring spots are by the10,000's. Any local would give you directions and watch hazards. By now you'd know it was real shoaly. There is so much history there you'd need a photographic memory to keep it all lol. I so much miss it. But age gets you. Like the old saying goes, Yah gotta know your limits lol. But I have so enjoyed your videos. All down to earth subjects and no know it all stuff. Everytime you sign off I Can't wait to see the next chapter lol,
🤷 thats just how our 135 always runs. I always attributed it to how sometimes when you start a car the dials jump up before settling down to their normal location.
Great videos! Just a bit of useless info: the Port Severn lock was built as a “temporary” lock to get the waterway finally open as WW1 had stopped construction. The exit to Georgian Bay was supposed to be further north near Honey Harbour. But it never happened. 😁
Hi Jason! We're currently on the ICW in Florida, and we spent the winter in the Florida Keys. We share current info on Instagram (@schoandjo) and on our email newsletter schoandjo.com/sunday-summary if you wanted to keep up further!
As a rule, I never talk into a radio mic or into my cupped hand. That forces your breath into the mic causing distorsion an poping. I hold the mike loosly in one hand with my palm creating a cup. Other hand is always free to do other things. I then rest my thumb on the opposing side of my jaw, your index finger touching your cheek. Left hand to right side of face or vice versa. In this position the mic should be blocked from the wind by both your hand and your face. The only opening being at the V of your thumb by the corner of your mouth. You should be able to blow and all the air run down the back of your hand an down your arm, none of the air should go into your hand or the mic. In this position the mic will pick up your voice clearly with no distortion or breath poping. It will also not pick up wind or background noise unless conditions are really bad. As a fireman, I could not stand directly beside my pumping fire engine, but could talk clearly on the radio 10 feet away from it. Both cops an firemen do it this way even with their shoulder mounted mics just by turning their head till there face touches their hand. If your radio has a PA setting, plug headphones in to the PA port, flip it to PA an listen to how you sound for yourself

That's very nice of you to say, thanks, Richard!
Jen you look nice with your hair down
I've done Pickering ON to Byng Inlet (north of Parry Sound). An amazing experience
Aahhhh!!!! The iPad is dead! That's why we all need to know analog navigation. Nothing beats the "Mark 1, Mod 1 eyeball". And a paper chart...😅
haha it was stressful for a moment 😅
Hope you enjoyed my home waters Georgian Bay🇨🇦!

Congratulations!! I enjoyed seeing your confidence build during each lock! Great team work as always!!!
Thank's so much, Theresa!
I'm sure it felt like a great accomplishment to have made it through The Trent Severn Waterway. That is quite a trip.
Absolutely!
Thank you for sharing your adventures.
Great episode! You are "lock masters" no doubt!

We are powerboaters based on Georgian Bay for most of the past 30 years. The best boating! Enjoy.
Such a beautiful area!
Hey Scho...why does the tachometer go berserk at startup? My twin Lehmans don't do that.....

Super interesting, thank you for sharing!
Now the fun begins.. Huron and Michigan, under the Big Mac bridge!
hehe its all fun!
Ollie!!! 😂😂😂❤
🐶❤️ Always the star!!
I bought my boat from the same marina in Midland a few weeks ago!
Congrats!!
New to the channel. Love your positivity!!!!
Right on! Thanks for watching!
Ollie says....."I'm a Loop Dog, not a lap dog"......
haha right on!
I have been thinking about doing this for a few years. Your videos are inspiring. Would Ollie be up for another loop as first mate when I go? :)
Haha we'll see what she says...
Hey guys just wondering where you guys are now in real time? Love the channel!
