Thank you so much for your comment. There have been many comments suggesting a bridge be built for the zebras to cross the river I understand your sympathy for the zebra. However, the other side of the river is the country of Tanzania. So, it would have to be an international bridge. Also, the Masai Mara wildlife park is trying to stay as natural as possible without creating man-made structures such as bridges. In addition, there are many other rivers the zebras must cross to get to their food source. Should there be bridges built everywhere for the zebras to use? You would need to build a bridge every few hundred feet for hundreds of miles. Even then the animals might not choose to even use the bridge. The Crocodiles can also lay and wait on top of bridges too. Kenya is a 3rd world county with many other issues that should take priority over building bridges for zebras. Also, if the crocodiles all starve and die it will throw off the balance of nature. It would have tragic consequences. I know people believe zebras are cute and most people don't find crocodiles to be beautiful. That doesn't mean that crocodiles are evil and zebras are good. Thank you for watching.

Sorry the video was so shaky. I am not a professional photographer. I basically just pulled my cell phone out of my pocket and started recording. But it does make the footage even more amazing that it got so many millions of views. National Geographic would love to get such video. I'm sure they carry around tens of thousands of dollars of equipment. I did not have an expensive camera like large professional productions use. There was also a lot going on during the filming. The wind was blowing, and we had been waiting out in the sun for many, many hours. I was kind of exhausted and sort of balancing on the top of the truck. There was nowhere to put a camera stand. Every breath I took shook the phone. At times I was holding my breath for long periods trying not to move the phone/camera. I actually could not even see what I was shooting at because of the sun. I was just recording blindly in the direction of the action. Only afterwards when I was looking closely at the video did I clearly see the entire animal attack.

the creatures share a will to live... even willing to kill for their will ! nature is strong, nature is mighty, nature is natty and primal! nature is also DEADLY!
Comment section full of absolute idiots trying to impose their concept of morality onto wild animals. This is nature; this sort of thing happened for millions of years before humans evolved the ideas of cruelty and kindness. It will continue to happen long after we are gone. Nature doesn’t care what we think, it just goes on. Absolute arrogance to think our opinions matter in the slightest to the animals for whom this is just another day. Can’t believe people actually choose to click on these sorts of videos then have the gall to whine and cry in the comments about how awful they think reality is. Why watch it? If you hate it so much, why engage with it in any way? All you are doing is teaching the UA-cam algorithm that these sorts of clips get you engaged. It is life. It is death. It is nature. It happens every day whether we notice or not.
Fun Fact: Did you know that crocodiles can go for several months without eating? In extreme cases, they can go 3 years without eating anything! They conserve their energy by staying motionless or moving slow.
I have to say that was the most brutal death that I have ever seen. And the most struggle for life that I have ever seen as well. I can only wish that it was in "shock" doing that merciless attack.
Every year during the season of the Great Migration there are 300,000 Zebras and 1.5 million wildebeest migrating. Every year during the season of the Great Migration 32,000 Zebras get killed and 250,000 wildebeest get killed.
That poor little zebra did suffer for far too long. I appreciate your concern for the zebras. However, they do not allow guns in the country of Kenya. Masai Mara does not permit anyone to interfere with the wild animals in the National Reserve since there is a big poaching problem in Africa. The non-interference policy protects the animals from poachers. Also, it was a far distance. It only appears closer with my cameras zoom lens. First of all, I wasn't about to jump in the water that would certainly be my death. Secondly, I don't I know if I could even throw a rock that far and if I could throw a rock that far I would probably miss and hit a zebra instead of a crocodile. Also, Masai Mara does not permit anyone to interfere with the wild animals in the National Reserve. In addition, my guide would not permit me to throw rocks at the animals. I could not even leave the vehicle to get out and look for rocks. If I left the safety of our vehicle I would be attacked by a wild animal. In addition, who travels around internationally carrying guns? I am never carrying a gun around with me when I travel. Thank you for your comments and thank you for watching! That poor Zebra 🦓 😢 it’s one thing grabbing it and dragging it under water to drown it. But to rip it’s face off is horrifying. Crocs are basically dinosaurs, no soul, brutal. No wonder they have survived for millions of years with there predatory instincts
Have you ever seen a carnivorous animal take pity on another? not only crocodiles but any carnivorous animal hunts to survive. and not for fun (apart from the orcas) apparently you don't know the food chain
Zebras also have "no soul", whatever the hell that means. These crocodiles are eating their food in an identical manner to how zebras eat their food. Locate food, bring mouth close to food, tear of pieces to swallow. Both animals are doing it with zero awareness or concern about pain and zero intention to cause harm. Nature makes much more sense if you set the Disney brainwashing aside.
Instinctively, the herd of zebras actually want their population to be lowered. Somehow, the herd of zebras know that they must control their population levels because there is not enough food for all of the zebras. So, the herd of zebras purposely cross the river over and over again insuring that the weak zebras are taken out by the crocodiles. This is how evolution works. The herd of zebras will turn around and cross the river again so more of their numbers will be thinned out.
Seeing it trying to fight back with half of its face gone has me feeling terrible. Nature is just terrifying, and survival instincts really are something else.

the creatures share a will to live... even willing to kill for their will ! nature is strong, nature is mighty, nature is natty and primal! nature is also DEADLY!
Thank you

True
Fun Fact: Did you know that crocodiles can go for several months without eating? In extreme cases, they can go 3 years without eating anything! They conserve their energy by staying motionless or moving slow.
I can only imagine how much that must hurt. Poor zebra. Crocs gotta eat though. RIP.
No they don't. Those nasty vile things deserve to die off.
I have to say that was the most brutal death that I have ever seen.
And the most struggle for life that I have ever seen as well.
I can only wish that it was in "shock" doing that merciless attack.

Quite an amazing video. Shocking, but this is real life for the zebras and their predators who also need to eat.

Every year during the season of the Great Migration there are 300,000 Zebras and 1.5 million wildebeest migrating.
Every year during the season of the Great Migration 32,000 Zebras get killed and 250,000 wildebeest get killed.

ワニもワニとて全然補食出来なかったり、目の前にシマウマ来てもタイミングがずれて食べられなかったり、シマウマに踏まれたりとワニも大変なんだとわかった

When the zebra's face was torn off, he knew he was in big trouble
This is sad😢 i love animals and this video shook me.
thank you so much for watching my video.

@@xenom6704 they hunt to survive and not for fun? Really? 🛎
@@riverbluesky like humans, they hunt for fun , animals and other humans.
@@xenom6704 nice pov based on UA-cam view...😂
Instinctively, the herd of zebras actually want their population to be lowered. Somehow, the herd of zebras know that they must control their population levels because there is not enough food for all of the zebras. So, the herd of zebras purposely cross the river over and over again insuring that the weak zebras are taken out by the crocodiles. This is how evolution works. The herd of zebras will turn around and cross the river again so more of their numbers will be thinned out.
