These are great videos on the next gen Raptors. Keep them coming. I still have another 11 months until my Raptor is delivered, until then I will live vicariously through your videos.
Awesome video man 👍🏼 I’m probably going to go this way as well. I’ve always mounted my compressors under the rear seats in my vehicles. They last forever being out of the elements in the cab. But this is a clean set up and less effort 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Cheers dude, I had this kit on order for mine for the last 4months there is some supply issues with arb apparently the manifold is different for the compressor to fit in the guards. I ended up ordering the Pirate camp co brackets for mine, I figured it’ll be a good way to compare the different set ups
Just a point with the wheel removal. That instruction is for the regular ranger, the raptor is missing the tub step and has a different exhaust setup so you may need to make more space
It's not an arb only connection. It's just not s nitto type. You can still get all the fittings from Bunnings if you want. Some nail guns use the same, I know my Bostik gun use the same.
It sits that high up and The inlet filters are at the top also it’ll never be an issue. The inner vision the wheel will keep 99% of the crap out. I’d say if you get to a point that stuffs the compressor you are going to have way bigger problems 🤣
The compressor is IP rated . The only issue is the intake filters. There is an option to extend them to a clean place like to the inside of the tub would be nice. Even for the filter replacement process to be easy.
great work guys, any chance of a supplementary vid or explanation on how you integrated the Raptor 'in cabin' switch in with the wiring of the compressor?
hey mate when I get some time we will definitely do a vid on the in cab switching. it essentially just puts easy to tap into trigger wires in convenient locations around the rig
Hey guys great build i have a twin arb compressor lying around just wondering if that will fit i dont have the wiring so i went to arb to ask if i could buy the wiring and bracket but they reckon the rone i have wont fit the bracket. But i tried putting matching it from those holes in the tub they do match. Any thoughts on this?
Just out of curiosity have you guys towed with the v6 raptor? I know they have reduced towing capacity to 2.5t, so curious to see what it's like for towing.
It definitely squats with a trailer hooked up. As for power you don’t know anything is behind you, it would definitely be able to pull mor weight but with the suspension it’s not designed to do it. I’d say if you plan on towing all the time it’s not the right rig for it
@@HappyGoTravel Cheers mate, I've got a 2T boat and I'm lucky to tow the fkn thing once a month. Otherwise is small trailers taking green waste to the tip.
Gidday fellas, I tow a Patriot X1 regularly, not very heavy but you barely notice it’s there. You can air-bag them apparently if you need to tow heavier trailers to compensate.
No scrub with the 35’s and the spare fits perfectly. We actually did a vid on them. We cut a little to make them work but that is because of the offset on the methods. They are a +20 9” wide wheel, it’s probably just a little to wide to be honest
@@JensThomas there is around 1cm each side with the nitto 35. We found it centred pretty well. I’d just back it off re centre it and see how you go with it. This 35 has been under here for months now with no issues ✌️
Hey mate, one question not related to this, you know the silver bash plate that joins with eft front bumper - it comes silver stock, how did you change the colour of your one to black? Was it painted or are there aftermarket parts that can be bought and just refitted on? Cheers.
Hey mate we just pulled it off and painted it with a raptor liner coating. It’s a pretty decent plate. The raptor definitely needs underbody protection further back though
Nah it sits well above it, there’s actually not to much heat around that area. With the wiring you just need to be mindful where you run it going above the chassis
I can confirm that you do not need to pull wheel and wheel arch off to install. A little cursing and swearing but got it there. Another hint. The cast iron elbow fitting on the compressor itself is very weak. Snapped it while tightening the hose - magivered a fix with 1/4” gas fittings but I’m not 100% sure how well it will seal as wasn’t able to tighten fully. Lots of sealer and fingers crossed

Cheers mate✌️ the wait times are nuts on them atm

That is a very valid point and something i didn't consider. Cheers mate
You made me do this to my Raptor and I love it keep the good job up
Thanks mate. They are an awesome bit of gear

I’ve got a Wildtrak on order and think you guys have convinced me this is by far the best way to go. Thanks gents. Enjoying the vids
it definitely is, its such a good set up
So keen to see this thing off-road. Love the new raptor.
It goes as good as you’d expect 🙌 I just need to actually pull my finger out and film it in the bush
Hi Damo, good stuff. Just got my Raptor. Maybe if you guys can put on a couple links when and where you order stuff from. Cheers buddy. Eugene
I’d be interested to see how the compressor is going after a few muddy water crossings etc etc

I've seen this Raptor pounding the streets of Aberglasslyn
Hey Mate. What hard lid do you have? I have a utemaster and I am struggling to find a fridge slide that will fit.
Saw you lads at Fraser a week ago. When’s the next clip?
Hi from Fraser ✌️ I didn’t actually film much on the island this time around

What’s the dual
Midies for? My arb compressor stopped working during my first air up. Installed it exactly like this.
We found that the 40ah midi fuses blow after about the 6th tyre in a row. they have since been swapped to 60ah ones
Do the 35's scrub? What offset did you use? Does the spare fit under without issues? Cheers boys

It was too easy it was hard 🤣 that’s gold fellas 🍻
We sometimes make things way harder than they need to be 🤣
Is the 12v 15a wire available near the tub?
Or routing the wire from the battery is mandatory?
it needs to go to the battery because the compressors draw soo much
Thanks! Where can I buy the bracket? the ARB twin compressor and wiring kit? Cheers!
direct from arb is the easiest place
Nice one fellas.👍
Just a bit of feedback, can ya slow it down a bit? I mean the steps and instructions.....
Good job 👌👍
Cheers mate. Going to fast has always been one of my problems 🤣🤣
go to settings and slow down play back speed

I've always not been too worried by minor air leaks with compressor plumbing. it always reminds me that I've left it on hahaha
How did you order this?
Damo just got it from arb
Did you do the power wire extension by yourself or did you buy a kit ? Do you know how long is it?
Mate. You want to mate with my mate made by that mate God. Mate.
Did you relocated the air filters in this installation?
not in this one, on mine i did. no issues either way they sit nice and high out of the way
