Whole Tony Martin era IS so underrated. It IS sad fact. Because He was the best option for band after dio 's end. Very talented Singer with beautiful voice.
Biggest problem was I don’t think IRS did a good job of marketing any of the albums from that era. Lots of record stores weren’t carrying these albums unfortunately.
Cross Purposes Live is a killer concert. Used to play this vhs tape a lot back in the day. A good mix of the Martin/Dio/Ozzy eras material, but probably should've had more Martin songs..
Tony Martin era is my favourite era together with Ozzy. I love Dio too one of my favourites and I still can't stand a world without him, but Tony Martin brought so much to the band. He is very underrated incredibly underrated. He got a raw deal from Sabbath and hasn''t had enough of a career post the firing of him which was a very poor decision!
I saw him live in Brasília - capital of Brazil - in 2009 or 2010 can't remember exactly, he is bald now xD but he did not play ANY song from cross purposes nor forbidden... btw saw Dio with heaven & hell too, and ozzy osbourne with sabbath 2 times and 2 more in his solo band yeah i feel glad for my life! :D
I think is the best Sabbath with Tony Martin. I enjoy albuns like Headless Cross and TYR, but Cross Purposes for me sounds like a classic Black Sabbath with Ozzy, but with Martin singing. We got here the powerful riffs of Tony Iommi, and Geezer Butler. Sabbath is not the same thing without Geezer.
It's impossible not headbanging when you hear Tony Iommi riffs, they are great. Underrated album the same as Tony Martin even though he can't reach high notes singing in live but he is still one of my favorites. lml
I love this song. Every time Black Sabbath changes singers, the style totally changes, so I can understand why some people like one version but not others. I love the Tony Martin Black Sabbath, though. It's my second favorite after Ozzy. I still love Dio too, but mostly in context of his whole career, rather than just Black Sabbath.
Geoffrey James Nicholls 🎹😔 Terence Joseph Michael Butler Anthony Frank Iommi Anthony Philip Harford Robert "Bobby" Rondinelli I Was There, Simply Night Magic ⚡ 🔥 💪 👊 😎 Hail From Brazil 🇧🇷 São Paulo ⚡🔥👊💪🤘😎
very good explanation i didn't think of that, probably correct. but in scouring the internet for an answer to this, i have seen 2 other places/pages/sites list Cyndi as composer unrelated to media player. does it say this in iTUNES as well? i dont really care but it is just hard to picture all them in the studio together. i especially love the chorus.
@cbFIN - not sure of the story here other than she has been credited with partial composer staus on this track on Cross Purposes. I was just curious to what the extent she contributed was. If anyone knows. please post. Thanks again !
Ozzy is so overrated... Tony Martin wastes him vocally, but too bad the albums he sang on went almost unnoticed. It's a case where the legend over-shadows reality.
I like Tony Martin A LOT in studio, in every album he made with Iommi... but lieve, man, he seems to do no effort to replicate the notes he sang in the record... no closely! isaw him live in Argentina, monster of Rock 1994, and he sounded really bad... I still love his work anyway....
Mario - Much of the cross purposes tour in early 94, Tony Martin was on again off-again sick for most of that tour. So vocally, these performances would not showcase him at his best. A much better representation of Tony would be the headless in Russia DVD from 1989, he was much better vocally obviously. Of course, that was five years earlier, but on all the tours, Geoff Nicholls also helped with backing vocals and many of the ‘high’ parts.
Magica is Looking 4 a Guitarist....Someone that Plays Dio,Rainbow and Sabbath with Dio....A Guitarist who's into Dio has much has we Are...... Send us a Message!!!We have lots of gigs on the Way Including Dio Day in Cortland NY Magica Dio Tribute on FaceBook
WHO was it that said Tony had little stage presence? ARE they f..king serious? He's an excellent singer, Lyricist and great front man. Let's be honest Ozzy was a shit front man 'leapfrog" wtf is that? it looks ridiculous!
One of the best Sabbath's tracks, I don't understand why is so underrated!
cause people stupid
It's because sharon osbourne's marketing talent.
Whole Tony Martin era IS so underrated. It IS sad fact. Because He was the best option for band after dio 's end. Very talented Singer with beautiful voice.
No rock radio stations ever give that any attention plus it's hard to get the music
Biggest problem was I don’t think IRS did a good job of marketing any of the albums from that era. Lots of record stores weren’t carrying these albums unfortunately.
Geezer Butler is the world best Bass Guitarist in the world.
And then he left the band and said he couldn't relate to that lineup he said it wasn't Black Sabbath
@@mikekeeler6362 it doesnt make it less than what it is. Geezer is a phantom of rock. 🤘❤️
Bobby Rondinelli slaying on the drums
Favorite Sabbath drummer 😀🤘
@@pianistgonerogueBill Ward and it's not even close
Exatamente meu jovem! 🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
Falou e disse !
Preferisco Dio
Love the Tony Martin era of Black Sabbath - some outstanding songs like this one - awesome! \m/
absolutely a personal favorite of me from that era, the great tony martin on vocals.
Sensacional !

Fantastic live vocals
He did have a throat infection during this tour dude. Watch some stuff from the Tyr tour. You'll be amazed
Cross Purposes Live is a killer concert. Used to play this vhs tape a lot back in the day. A good mix of the Martin/Dio/Ozzy eras material, but probably should've had more Martin songs..
Bobby Rondinelli is the world best Drummer in the world.

He was kinda bad live
Dio is the best singer of black sabbath

Tony Iommi is the world best Lead Guitarist in the world.
The best Sabbath album.
I do not agree, + I respect your opinion

This song kicked ass on Cross Purposes -- but hearing it live, holy fuck it sounds fucking cool. I want to see Ozzy sing this one.
@icedangel61 Tony Martin era is underrated.
Way,Тони Мартин!!!!
awesome video quality considering it's ripped from vhs

Cindi Lauper helped compose this song - anyone know to what extent? Thanks for the post.
Zero extent.
Es un genio este cabron 🤘
Te vanno bene i black sabbath?
Good job singing but he was avoiding the high parts
Ozzy is so overrated... Tony Martin wastes him vocally, but too bad the albums he sang on went almost unnoticed. It's a case where the legend over-shadows reality.
The heavy metal origins: black sabbath - black sabbath
The power metal origins: black sabbath - Eternal idol.
Just great heavy music which may be forgotten by the useless youth of today.... I hope not
Te vanno bene i black sabbath???
From what I've heard, his throat "went" around 91 hence what you described.

Pra mim, são 2 álbuns / Techical Escstasy, Forbindden ⚡🔥👊💪🤘😎
