Tony Martin, one of the most criminally underrated metal vocals! Period.
Tony and Tony need to hook up. Make great rock music again.
Agreed!!!
May 31st will put a spotlight on Tony Martin. Great vocalist
Well they're finally do a remaster of the album. Hope they rest follow.
The sound engineer must be a God master, delivering a audio quality like this.
thank you ;)
@@tammz123 awesomeness ! hats off sir
A great video and such a great sound.
It's the best sound I've heard here on youtube
The sound quality is so good that it turned my AWEI Headphone into a Sennheiser : instantly ! 😹😂
Tony Martin was the voice of Black Sabbath when I was a teenager, and Headless Cross was the first Sabbath album I bought. That song will always put me in a good mood.
When i heard "call of the wild" i was hooked
wicked song of darkness! hahah but my favorite on that LP is Nightwing!
That was an immaculate deception by Mr Martin.lol
Same here!!
He was in Sabbath when I was a teenager too, I think Cross Purposes was technically the 7th Sabbath record I bought, still love that one, he was so good,
Someday Tony Martin will get all the credit he deserves.
Hi mr. Vincent
I totally agree. He has always been criminally under rated.
Not until he records a good album
Jan S I'm not that close to his solo career but the eternal idol, headless cross, Tyr and Cross purposes are perfect records, maybe with a different sound but great!
IMO the albums with Martin are the best in Black Sabbath's discography after the ones with Ozzy.
I love the Sabbath albums with Tony, he is one of greatest singers ever
He is phenomenal!
Hello Fredrik👋Wonderful Tony💋Just, according on interview To LOMMI... the DARK YEARS were with Tony MARTIN🤷♀️so why did you use it several times?‼️Atmosphère Musiciens-Singers, is so BAD‼️that the all leave the group🤷♀️after one or two years...( interview RAY👍)bye, Fredrik👋and yes, yes, yes, Marvelous Tony💥🙏
Headless cross and Tyr are just 🤌
Tony Martin is one of the greatest rock vocalists in my opinion.
Great to listen, but not so much to see...
I really do like him. But he used to and still does avoid the high notes, which makes the experience of listening to those songs on studio version so different from live versions. It is a bit disappointing actually. But i simply love his era in Sabbath.
That 's very very very true !
I'll fuckin say it! Headless Cross is the best Sabbath song ever written! Tony was the best singer ever in the band....... Yeah I went there! Lol!
I second that
Tony needs more credit for his work with Sabbath
Totally agree.
Most definitely. Dio and Tony Martin should have gotten into the Hall of Fame with Black Sabbath. Martin's work with the band is criminally underrated.
Agreed. Headless Cross happens to be one of my favorite Black Sabbath albums. Such a shame too many so-called fans turned up their noses because he’s neither Ozzy nor Dio.
Tony is and always will be Black Sabbaths best singer. I literally don't care, his work during his tenure with the band was amazing. So soulful, melodic and evil.
@@Trollz0r.Trololol Soulful, Melodic, and Evil.... uhhh epic !!
Tony Martin.
By far, the most underrated vocalist of all Rock/Metal bands.
He may not hit high notes again (comprehensive, by his age) but his tone is heavenly as it can be.
Gigantic tone, control, he's got at all.
The end of the song The Eternal Idol, his vocalizations IMO are one of the most perfect things in a Doom Metal song that will ever be around.
Nobody beats RJ Dio, but Martin was and still is a true legend.
The Drummer,...HUGE Respect!
Awesome, isn't he? Respect!!
Drummer bloody good. Very impressed.
He is drummer in Cradle of Filth a lot of years😉
Tony Martin deserved a long term "AAA" band gig. He's amazing and here is 57y old, sounds crisp and spot-on.
This is the cleanest live version I've heard. The song deserves it. Great performance!
Yeah, this is really good!
Martin can't hit the high notes anymore, but his tone is still BEAUTIFUL.
If you look at live footage from '89, he didn't attempt many high notes back then either. Still did a fine job, though.
He is the perfect studio singer. I admire his melodic lines even more than Dio's. Live, he holds back a little, but still good.
Honestly! He's signing better today than before!
He's clever enough to adapt the melody though and keep it in context, works perfectly.
His mid and low registers sound to be in fantastic shape here! If anything, the silkier tone he achieves on the chorus towards the end of the song is a cool new interpretation of the song if you ask me!
Give that sound engineer a pay rise.
thank you ;) i mixed it !
@@tammz123 Amazing work!! Congrats!
@tammz123 Absolute class mixing mate!
@@tammz123 You're single handedly redeeming Tony Martin on youtube with this mix. Everyone else (including Sabbath members past and present) knock him but he sounds great in this.
My first thought too. Fantastic.
This is one of the best live sounds I’ve ever heard in my life! The overall mix is just incredible. All hail Tony Martin!!!
Sat watching this with headphones and it sounds massive!
I have been an enormous fan of Tony Martin since his Sabbath days.
New album next year!
Seems like the crowd don't realize the legend they have in front of them
My god, his voice is back to perfection!
Regrettably it isn't. Didn't you notice that he avoided all the high notes?
Well as you get older the voicebox gets stiffer and you're much less able to hit the high notes. This was an excellent performance
Sound engineer remixed the original live performances in his studio 🎙 great job 👏 😂
Tony martin sounds great in 2014, he is not the same vocalist from 1989, but after all those years he sounds really great, my favorite vocalist of all times, there's no one like tony martin, he is the best
The Tony Martin era of Sabbath is so overlooked - great stuff. He sounds great!
I saw Martin with Sabbath on the Cross Purposes tour... absolute magic. I was directly in front of Iommi, but Martin was the real show. Martin's time with Sabbath produced my favorite albums... yes, even Forbidden has some really great songs.
Headless cross was such a sick album I loved it I dunno why it's so underappreciated by Sabbath fans.
My second favourite Sabbath Singer next to Dio. This guy is awesome!
Me too !
dio is awful - all his songs sounds the same
@@birdybutch All your stupidity sounds the same.
@@birdybutch check your ear
Holy crap the sound quality of this live performance is magnificent! And Tony Martin? GOD MODE.
Wall of guitar! One of the heaviest, thickest, sustainiest live guitar sounds ever!
The sound is superb! Never seen sth like that in UA-cam. Whoever did this, CONGRATS!
it was postmixed in my studio ;)
TONY MARTIN GREAT SINGER!!!!
Great sabbath music. This era seems to get ignored but Tony Martin sounds great and definitely needs more recognition
Cozy Powell almost raise from his tomb...
After Black Sabbath is over, Tony Martin and the Riffmaster and the Inventor of Metal Tony Iommi have got to work together again \m/
Luciano Roberto @ very well said brother. I agree with u
In some time, they want to work on the "Headless Cross" reissue.
I wish Tony Martin performs in Canada. Huge fan!
Criminally underrated Sabbath era.
Respect For drummer !
Yura Yurgent - the drummer is Martin "Marthus" Škaroupka super powerfull drummer.
Una bestia el batero!!!! Impresionante!!!
Yes!
He is the drummer of the band Cradle of Filth
@@FAF4567 yes ... amazing
Such a fine singer. I just love Tony! He made some of the best rock albums. Headless Cross, Tyr, Cross Purposes to name just a few
Tony Martin rocks! The drummer is a beast...beautiful clean, clear sound, the entire group is awesome!
I enjoy all the albums when Tony was with Black Sabbath. He’s a great composer and a singer. TYR is my favourite album from Black Sabbath.
What a performance, what a sound quality. Perfection
Such a very smart guy to deliver a very decent concert even not being able to sing in a high level anymore. I'd pay a lot to see him.
Cross Purposes was my first Sabbath album back in 1997. I remember loving it so much at the time. Yeah, I heard him before Ozzy, Gillan and Dio. The good thing is I heard him unbiased and have been a fan since then. Great vocals, even without the high pitch notes on this live version, one of the greatest.
Holy crap! The sound engineer is a genius!! If it sounds this good on UA-cam just imagine how it sounded LIVE!! FANTASTIC!!
Would love to see the two Tony's collaborate again. The world needs that right now!!
It's post produced, a live recording that sounds like a studio recording doesn't give me live vibes.
Not even Martin can beat himself on the original tune because his work was amazing. Headless cross was a divine album out of this world
Tony Martin is the best singer. I love his voice.💖
A REAL GEM THIS SONG!! 🤟🤘👉👉👉👍👍
Tony did much better than I thought he would on this show and song. Tony Martin did an amazing job on the albums that he did with Black Sabbath. The Eternal Idol, The Headless Cross, and TYR are amazing albums. In my opinion they are just as great as the Ozzy and Dio era albums. The Headless Cross is one of my favorite Black Sabbath albums ever. Roland Grapow did a great job on the guitar solo also. I am also a huge fan of Helloween and Mastetplan. This was very cool.
pleas iommi make a new album with martin
Absolutely...
That would be amazing! I could finally get a physical copy of that era without spending a shit ton of money
Yeah! Please! I want it so much! Martin rulz!
They have. Check out Black Sanbath's new album, Tyr.
Tony Martin - Tony Iommi - Geezer Butler - Bill Ward
Tony Martin still kickass! What a underrated jewel.. 🤘😈
As many have noted, the sound is simply spectacular! What a mix! And Tony Martin is just a legend..
The entire sound system and all lighting is driven purely by the drummer's ability to generate endless amounts of kick-ass energy!
The backing vocals on the choruses are spot-on too, WOW, it's so cool to hear this song done such sweet justice!!
Best backing band I have seen behind Tony singing these classic Sabb tunes! Excellent! Metal Cheers \m/
The great Martin Marthus on the drums. 🤘
COZY POWELL will always be REMEMBERED for drumming intro!OUTSTANDING VERSION!!
Congratulations on SEBASTIEN's performance, great sound !!! Tony Martin is not only an excellent singer, he is also a very good musician.
The Thorns album is solid proof of that, too, bro!
amazing!!!! Tony Martin is very underrated!!!!
tears in my eyes...what a perfect song
The timbre and the tone of his voice is absolutely brilliant !!!! .....Very underrated vocalist !!! Love Tony ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Damn,.. his voice is still holding great.
Tony Martin is a genious singer. Unfortunately, he’s very underrated In Black Sabbath’s history.
Because he didn't suit Sabbath.
@@mickblack2800 lol
@@mickblack2800so Dio didn't either? They sound practically the same stylistically.
Right Tony Martin is a great singer but what to say about Ozzy, R J Dio, Ian Gillan..?
@@jeanluc3831 Ian Gillan is a great singer, but not in Sabbath. Born Again doesn’t deserve the newfound appreciation it got over the years, it’s very weak compared to everything the band had done prior and did since (with the sole exception of Forbidden, which is the only truly bad album Sabbath ever did).
Every time I listen to this version I headbang sitting on my couch!
this sounds fucking amazing. the mix is incredible and the drummer does a killer job!
Tony Martín!! One of my favorite singers of all time!!!
Tony Martin is very special to me... His vocals are fabulous... I never tire of always listening.
Awesome! Tony Martin has always been my favorite Sabbath vocalist.
Of all the live performances you could see/hear, one of the best, this band from Prague, a performance more than worthy of Black Sabbath.
Tony Martin is a god who came to walk alongside us
Amazing sound quality on this video. Guitars and drums sound massive. Badass drummer as well he is a joy to watch!
O timbre do Tony não envelheceu um dia!
Tem música que fica muito melhor ao vivo!! Essa ficou espetacular!!!
Omg amazing performance!!! Tony Martin is a vocal maestro, still got that beautiful tone tone of voice. Great musicians and sound engineer there. Bravo! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
I freaking LOVE Tony's voice! Such an underrated singer...and mr. Grapow is my freaking guitar hero! How come I never heard about this band before? THIS IS GOLD!
This really sounds good, Tony sounds great, the band is REAL solid, excellent listen!!
NO DOUBT Tony Martin is a Metal God that COMPLETELY DESERVES MAJOR CREDIT. He kept Sabbath alive. Amazing talent. So sad that he's been forgotten BUT NOT by us Metal Heads! \m/ \m/ Don't you wish iommi would follow thru on what he said to Tony and reissue 90s Sabbath????? +++ new songs?
Got goosebumps❤️❤️❤️ remember when i saw them on the Hedless cross tour, still got the voice... SUUUUUUPER THANX Tony
What great live sound. Tony and Roland sound great.
Tony Martin was great on the Eternal Idol album.....Ancient Warrior!!
Tony Martin is fucking amazing, he knows true Sabbath fans appreciate him a lot.
This is a Masterpiece of Hard & Heavy Rock! Great Black Sabbath line-up for Headless Cross 🤘👍❤️🖤❤️🤘
Continua cantando muito!
Gostaria muito que Iommi retomasse com o direito do nome Sabbath e retornasse com a formação com Martin no vocal... apenas um sonho!
Outstanding cover of the Headless Cross! Drums and keyboards sound very close to album sounding quality/nice!
One of the my favorite guitar hero roland and.enormeus.voice.of tony martin of black sabath
I was first introduced to Tony Martin in grade 7, when "the eternal idol" was released, and I've been a huge fan ever since. I would love to see Tony tour Canada. This band kicks ass!
100% postmixed, thats why it sounds so good.
And thats how it should sound, great tune, great TM.
Tony Iommi is and will always be the greatest heavy riffmaster that ever walked the earth!
What an incredible sound!!!!
Thanx a lot ;)
Amazing Tony Martin
The sound is crystal wow amazing!
Canta muito sir Tony. Tanks for your the best voice man. Bether vocal for the era Sabbath
Grapow is brilliant guitarist!!
Agree!!
Best era of Sabbath is with Tony Martin.
wow!! such an energy and awesome vocals from epic grandpa of heavy metal Tony Martin... superb live!! nailed it!!
Still sounds amazing I loved him and Ronnie James Dio.. both of them are absolutely amazing and those are my favorite Sabbath albums
Wonderful!! What a sound! Great Tony Martin. Master vocals.....
That is the best version I've heard. Guitar tone awesome. A wall of sound. Love Tony.
Tony Martin deserves a more active crowd need more banging over here
Come have a life this is a legend on stage
Великолепная композиция и Прекрасный голос Тони Мартина!
ну тут никогда не было сомнений!
Tony seems to not be able to hit those high notes but holy SHIT this sounds incredible!
Unfortunately he never could, live.....
His melodies makes up for his loss of high notes..Smart way of compromising on Tony's part.He still makes those classics sound great He probably could still hit high notes.. But conserves his voice to last for entire shows.I mean how many more live shows did he have before and after this performance? Being older makes it even harder. So he's using his head.
yeah he really seems to avoid it. but still great to see and hear this though....
@@Kruisje2000 He did when I saw them on the Tyr tour
@@Kruisje2000 He could in his prime. ua-cam.com/video/gxfuVp5qD4Q/v-deo.html also nails Devil And Daughter here
A++ this band did a superior back up for Tony who’s voice is still excellent... kudos to the keyboard and guitarist best version ever great production engineers gets a Gold for this..Black Sabbath had great vocalists
Thanks a lot, much appreciate it! ;)
Most of the time cover songs come and go but this one raised the hair on the back of my neck. All I can say is WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What a chance to hear this Masterpiece!
Parabéns!!!!!Um baita vocalista..O cara já é corôa e ainda cuida da voz...Meu eterno respeito.
SUPER !!!!!! TONY IS BRILLANT !!! THE SOUND IS VERY VERY GOOD !!! ALL MUSICIANS ARE SO GREAT !!!
The sound guy deserves a medal for this. This is one of the best live recordings I have ever heard. It almost sounds like it was re-recorded in the studio..but I doubt that. These guys are pros.
What a pro 🤙🏻🔥🤘🏻 Headless Cross is always gonna be one of the best Heavy Metal albums in history
