Excellent, Excellent. Extremely knowlegable on hat making and he understand all aspects up to the point of the hat style reflecting the image you look depending on the hat you wear. This guy knows hats in and out. Thanks
This was a great video! I loved seeing the 100 year old machine that still worked! It's so nice to see the old ways still kept alive today! I'm absolutely in love with millinery and would love to learn to do it some day. I'm actually hoping to attend a college in my city because I found out they had a millinery course! I'm more into top hats myself, especially miniature ones, but I just love seeing any hat being made! Thanks for sharing this video! :D
I just tried to shape my Resistol Black Gold using a whistling tea kettle. That steam is hot, just have to keep your fingers away. I love this video by the way, automation or not, he is probably one of the last custom hat makers in the US. Check out Nate Funmaker's video... it will blow you mind. He took hatmaking to a different level.
Superb stuff, love hats love your work and your shop. I have a couple of Akubra's but I think yours are in a different class. Never been to Las Vegas but if I ever do will definitely drop by to have one made! Many thanks. J.

It's been a long time in the making. Didn't happen over night. We've been in Business for 30 years and over time we've collected many hat making machines we could find.
We appreciate the video. Could you show how the beaver fur is flattened into a useable material for the hat? I show this video every year to each Alberta grade 7 Social Studies class. There is always the question - how do you make hats out of beaver fur? This helps. Thanks.
Hey guys. Im quiet interested Int this art. Been searching for courses but had no luck in finding one. Do you guys know of any place where I can aquire this art?
It's a lost art and only few people still do things like this today. If you want to learn this art you'd have to find someone who makes decent hats and try to work under them. That is the only way we know to get into hats in todays time
DBarJ Hat I have a 7 1/4 Stetson cowboy hat that I am wearing for my profile picture actually. I would like to turn into a John Wayne styled hat like the one he wore in "The cowboys" film, I would like to have some advice and/or tips. I would like to know what type of brim shape it is. I might consider taking it to you to do it up like John Wayne's hat, Thanks!

Thank you for sharing this wonderful hat making process, I'm sure there are some trade secrets that hatters will not share. Again thank you.

Hatman Jack in downtown Wichita Kansas will set you up with a good hat.
You may have cured me of my aversion to cowboy hats. Do you know of a video that shows the making of the beaver felt?
I see a lot of 'automation' being used. Regardless, you have a very interesting process in making hats.
Thanks for sharing
Beatiful hats!

Wonder if I could ask for a capotain with a really large brim
