good catch at the 4:10 catch!, theres a race on here in 4wd on snow between the comander wildcat and xp and the wildcat gets the jump but the xp starts to pass just as they turn the camera away too.
In an actual race between the two, the RZR gets the jump on the wildcat, but once the two gets going, the gap doesn't change a bit. They are both really good machines.
como trae amortiguadores walkwer evans deberian de probarlo en la siguiente BAJA 1000 de noviembre contra los polaris y de su categoria... saludos y cual sera su costo??? no 4 plazas??
I think if the GPS is capable of showing back country trails, logging road etc then it would help knowing where you are. Right now I am committed to memorizing and for someone who can't do this as well and I know quit a few, a GPS would be great if it has features that can be used for this application.
@TheDeago you mean my Z28 that sits in my back yard yeah its seen better days i dont drive it anymore I bought a 2011 Ram 1500 crew cab for my wife and a 2012 Ram 1500 crew cab for myself what do u drive
And BTW I like Cat yes, I also like Polaris' IQ sleds (love both companies return to retro graphics). I had the first Polaris IQ440 sno cross sled (the red and blue one) as my screen saver for months after I first saw it. I drive a 2004 Dale Jr Monte Carlo and a Ford Truck and a Jeep, so I am hardly biased. I also have a Suzuki King Quad and hopefully one of these Wildcats by next summer. I have owned Yamaha, Kawasaki and Suzuki motocross bikes as well.
@19ramcharger92 And what makes you think the RZR is all terrain? There's little point to building a trail rig with independant suspension. Look at high level rock crawlers. They ALL use straight axles. IFS/IRS just doesn't work well in rocks. Too much wheel lift.
@SCROGY yes i know this i used to craw with my dad and i know straight axles (enspecially with front and rear lockers) dominate that terrain and the wildcat has front and rear suspension so why even bring that up??? they are allterrain they can go anywhere....but yes of course if you put straight axles on a rzr it would do better on rocks but it can still do it....
I love how on the hill climb test with the rzr is ahead of the wildcat and the driver just turned off the hill. The rzr could have made it all the way up lol.
@j58bear the 2013 wildcats dont have a wet clutch but on eastern trails it dont matter much there all fun i have a wildcatits not the best on tight trails but the smooth ride is worth it
I am a polaris fan but what i just seen here is i think the Wild Cat just beat the RZR XP and i seen this at hay days this year and it looked sweet but there are two things that i'm not the biggest fan of and even my freind agreed is that the front looks kinda like the front of a sled then turns into a SxS and the locker system but cant you lock it when your on the fly? But AC did but alot of work into this and it came out great. But isn't this like (but i might be off) $16,000 Cause AC guy said
@rangerRZR1 In that time you spent investigating did you fail to notice that most of the time I posted that we will have to wait for the shootouts to know the truth or that what little testing has actually been done has come back with comments like "This thing is in another class all by itself"? Did you notice my post on the 2012 sleds where I stated I really liked Cat and POLARIS's new retro graphics? Or are you just being selective in your complaints?
@19ramcharger92 How was it unfair. The Commader was CLEARLY out of it's league and even the RZR is going to have it's hands full if this thing turns out half as good as it looks.
why didnt they use the comander x? and also why did the rzr turn away when they did the hill climb? looks like he was right beside him untill the guy turned???? why dont they show them in the bush in tight turns or what about a 3 point turn in a right spot? becz everyone rides in the dunes... good try Arctic Cat
@rangerRZR1 The early reviews seem to be in favor of the Cat. Things may change, but so far it appears that the Cat is on another level altogether compared to other SXS's. At least that's what is (literally) being stated in the reviews.
The wildcat in the video doesn't have the production headlights production models have LED'S and projector bulbs no stock atv utv or anytv has better stock headlights
Honestly I like the xp better, you have a grab bar stock, no wet clutch delete kit to buy just so you can keep up with everyone else, and overall I just think the xp is a sharper looking machine. No offense to Arctic Cat, they did put out a decent looking and performing product, I just think the xp has a bit more edge over the wildcat.
its kinda funny ive seen a rzr go through whoops at 45 mph it doesnt look nearly anything like that i think theyre making the wildcat seem better than it rly is
@19ramcharger92 Well, I guess I just don't see the point of trying to hit the rocks with one of these. Especially since Cat has pretty much said that it was inspired by sand rails. There's nothing stopping anyone from hitting any type of terrian I suppose, but it just seems that if I was gonna trail ride a lot I would go with a built Jeep or Samurai.
@rubr1m Oh you tested for them? Really? Can you verify this? I get the same shit from people that say they are BJJ black belts on you tube but when you ask them where they train they say "Underground fight club". If you did test for them then you should be able to give the details of where and when and the names of the people involved. Thanks.
@SCROGY oh and google the review for this on atv.com the guy that test drove it in the video said it lacked bottom end power and he isnt the only reviewer to say that as an unbiast person but like i said im a woods rider so i need all around power especially in the bottom end
@SCROGY although i do somewhat see where he was comming from. it was a test run by arcticat basically. and the rzr did seem like it was holding back.(ive ridden the xp and it is mean as helll) but i wont be able to tell for sure till it comes out. polaris does have a little bit of an edge. the rzr has been out longer and they seemed to have worked out all of the kinks, so arcticat might have problems in the eraly years. i will say this. do not buy it the first year its out.
@SCROGY the shocks are good i will give you that but its a sand dune utv so i would expect it to have good shocks it even says in their promo vid enspired by sandrails but look im a woods rider and this utv isnt a woods machine they used automotive paint for the color dumb I.M.O when it gets roosted once in the woods by a RZR the paints gonna be chipped there is nothing to this front end at all and i just think its ugly
my dad owned\ and still owns a arctic cat 700 i side by side. he flipped it 5 times olled it down a hill in the same crash... so please don't talk about their speed of it the weight of it and flatus of them. all i care about is the safety of them so yeahs. btw hes still alive
There is no denying that the suspension on the wildcat is far superior than the rzr or commander, look at the numbers and video. who knows about speed though. looks like rzr has some competition.
@SCROGY yeah ive been looking at alot of these videos to see what this new cat is all about. but ive seen alot of your comments on all of them defending this thing. ive also seen a bunch of you saying your not a cat fan, and alot of you calling people fanboys. but im pretty sure your 100% cat fan. i dont think any person that likes all of these different things go to such trouble defending this cat.
@all4mac And who led? Honda. As much as I hate Honda these are just two seat versions of the Odessy/Pilot. So you're contention that Ski Doo or Polaris started this is moot. Besides, should Polaris have stayed out of the snomobile industry since it was Bombardier that made the first sno machine and Artic Cat that built the first MODERN snowmobile (front engine)? I guess so eh?
So many Polaris fanboys here..... Damn! The ArticCat has a FAR superior suspension, the future to say the least. No comparison on the track or on the trails. The only advantage the polaris has is more power for top speed and a NON wet clutch making it better for dune/hill climbing because of less slip and more grab and go.... Im getting the Cat!
There's no point in arguing with you, because you're obviously a huge Poolaris fan. I've talked to Polaris salesman who think less of these things than you do. Go ahead and tell me your grand plans for fixing the higher center of gravity, hilariously short wheelbase, and stubby little trailing arms? There are nearly stock Cats getting better and better finishes in UTVRR and WORCS series. Power is easy to fix - WCD evens the field, cams and porting makes the v twin a monster.
Those were demos, there is already video of the production wildcat beating the xp in a drag race. Dont buy a made in mexico polaris when you can buy the new top dog wildcat thats made in the usa.
lets be honest, both companies with try to make their product look superior. Simply put, polaris has been in the sxs business for quite some time. This thing looks cool, but my question is can it prove itself the way my rzr 4 and ranger xp have. I see no way to beat polaris, since they are the industry leader. the real question is if this thing can match up. at 4:45, the hood is very loose, something you wouldn't see on a polaris product (cheap). i'll keep buying AC snowmobiles and Polaris UTVs
@SCROGY lol idk how far down the pos is but all you say is arctic cat sleds this and that hey man this is totally different but hey your right man about everything, keep hanging out here and defending the cat, they should use all the top of the line models like the commander x, rzr s and then the cat, if they dont they should use the prowler with the base line models, o well doesn't matter your right about everything becz it doesnt matter what ppl they there a fan boy and go on about cat sleds
Drove the arctic cat a week ago in a rally in the dominican republic and is really not that good on the mud or dirt trails. The arctic cat has no mud fllaps in the front so you will be receiving a mud shower. The ride is comfortable and it looks different. I say the rzr is more reliable and is the bench mark. The cam am has a great engine but is too low to the ground.
@yfz4507483 What makes you think this is a dune SXS and the RZR isn't? Trail rigs, that is, REAL trail rigs like hard core Jeeps and built rock crawlers use SOLID AXLES because IFS/IRS doesn't flex well enough. You lift tires when crawling and only solid axles will keep the wheels planted when the trail gets really twisted. IFS/IRS will lift a tire if not two. Look at all the rock crawling comps: NO IFS.
Wow scrogy seems to have a lot to say. I mean not saying he's whorg about anything. But I'm a Polaris fan. Always have been. And like most other Polaris fans, something that MIGHT(no proven tests yet) beat it isn't enough to turn us to AC
Ill stick with Polaris. Go to any dealer they will tell you article cat is the furthest behind in innovation and technology. Polaris and Yamaha are the leaders.
I have driven both and rzr is faster wildcat is safer more stable will out climb and out handle in offroad mountain and rough driving more comfortable and just feels better. I have the black and green used in Colorado mountains left everybody.
RZR XPS R faster than my wildcat but they both do over 70mph which is fast for most trails I ride on sure I can open it up in some areas I like the XPS but the Wildcat does ride alot smoother however it is longer than the rzr which means more reverse usage on trails Polaris already proved thereself but everone has there prefferences mines the Wildcat
i can see why Arctic Cat, Polaris, Can Am and Yamaha are try to get on top of the UTV world.. because they know the people!! people want to go out and play but they don't want to get hurt or have to work at getting batter at riding, they just wants something they can drink beer all day in!! "that's it"
@yfz4507483 Yeah? Watch the ONLY test of the Wildcat on youtube and the guy says compared to the other SXS's it's "In a class by itself". Really the Commander is way out of it's league and only the RZR is close. It's just silly how fanboys are attacking this thing and NOT ONE OF THEM HAS DRIVEN IT.
I would love for someone to bring a kitty cat to my SXS motocross track and try to keep up! i thought for sure someone around my area would have bought one by now. but nope more and more xp 900 keep showing up! i have got to ride a kitty cat. pretty much just around a building. was not impressed with the lack of acelleration. no passenger grab bar. no harness bar. clutches are noisy as hell. i will keep my voodoo blue xp all day.
@TheFarmrBoy Proved themselves how? How has Polaris proved themselves? Since no one else until this point has made a performance SXS. You can only compare yourself to what's out there as competition, and if there's no competition, then you can't really say you've proved yourself because there's no yard stick to measure with. If the Cat proves to be better then Polaris will have been beaten by a first year machine. If the RZR is better then they only beat a rookie effort.
@Nops341 So in other words AC did everything Polaris did but better? Early word on the AC is that it stomps the RZR. And why not? It's got more travel, lower CG and a full tube frame. And in case you forgot Honda built this 20 years ago only it was a single seater. It was called the Oddessy (Then the Pilot). You sound like a jealous fanboy.
@palmstrokerforever........ I'm sure it's a helluvalota fun but I'd rather have the XP that's 200lbs lighter and proven!.... I was wrong to say I don't like it. I'm sure it's fun as phuck but I'll stick with my XP.
@rangerRZR1 No, the Polaris nuthuggers really need to stop trolling the Cat videos. Almost every single video I have posted in has been a Cat video where Polaris fanboys have come in to piss and moan and troll against Cat because they OWN an RZR. If they are so confident their RZR is better why do they care what Cat buyers thinks? Who are they trying to convince? Why are they getting all up in the Cat owners faces? What are they scared of?
It is pretty obvious that they have "tampered" with the preload to make the XP much taller at 4:56 when they talk about the Cat's lower center of gravity. The ground clearance of the Cat is CLEARLY a lot lower, like 6 inches lower. Then at 5:07 they say it has equal ground clearance. The side by side shots at 4:28 and 5:07 clearly show they are not sitting the same as 4:56. I am SURE they molested the compression settings on the XP to murder the ride in the whoops too. SHAME ON YOU ArcticCat !
@yfz4507483 And lacking low end power is meaningless if it goes like a crazed ape at top end and has a mid range punch like a six pack of A-bombs. Not saying it does but time will tell.
@yfz4507483 Yeah and since they were so close this proves nothing EITHER WAY. Either machine could have momentarily lost traction because it was sand. I saw nothing there that proved either one was faster so the Polaris nuthuggers can hold off on their trolling until the shootouts are complete.
good catch at the 4:10 catch!, theres a race on here in 4wd on snow between the comander wildcat and xp and the wildcat gets the jump but the xp starts to pass just as they turn the camera away too.
WAY BETTER THAN MY RZR IM TRADING IT IN ON ONE THIS WEEK!!! CANT WAIT
Just ordered a black one today cant wait till it comes in
In an actual race between the two, the RZR gets the jump on the wildcat, but once the two gets going, the gap doesn't change a bit. They are both really good machines.
Can't wait to test our unit!! Full report on UTVUnderground!

@myspeedvision2 Where was the unveiling?
That was one hell of a G-out at 18 seconds. The riders were probably glad they had 17+ inches of travel on that one.
And BTW I like Cat yes, I also like Polaris' IQ sleds (love both companies return to retro graphics). I had the first Polaris IQ440 sno cross sled (the red and blue one) as my screen saver for months after I first saw it. Where at?
Yes, but can it bog?

what do you ride
BRP is working on a new sport high perf side by side. Release date, october 2012.
what do u own and i do
I love how on the hill climb test with the rzr is ahead of the wildcat and the driver just turned off the hill. The rzr could have made it all the way up lol.
@SCROGY okay. just wonderin. i really cant wait to see this thing out there. it has alot of potential.
at 4:10 the rzr was neck and neck with the wildcat
@j58bear the 2013 wildcats dont have a wet clutch but on eastern trails it dont matter much there all fun i have a wildcatits not the best on tight trails but the smooth ride is worth it

Can't wait!
@SCROGY wheres your proof that its not?
@MrDylanSaxon Why would you want to with this? That's like asking if a Wrangler can run whoops at speed.
how much it
I own both of them do you?
@rangerRZR1 In that time you spent investigating did you fail to notice that most of the time I posted that we will have to wait for the shootouts to know the truth or that what little testing has actually been done has come back with comments like "This thing is in another class all by itself"? Increible !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
price $ ?
@yfz4507483 So explain the longer travel, better handling and the lower center of gravity.
@19ramcharger92 How was it unfair. The Commader was CLEARLY out of it's league and even the RZR is going to have it's hands full if this thing turns out half as good as it looks.

i think the wildcat is just for playing the xp is for work and alittle bit of action every now and then
@rangerRZR1 The early reviews seem to be in favor of the Cat. Things may change, but so far it appears that the Cat is on another level altogether compared to other SXS's. At least that's what is (literally) being stated in the reviews.
my track is near Dakota IL.
The wildcat in the video doesn't have the production headlights production models have LED'S and projector bulbs no stock atv utv or anytv has better stock headlights
damn the wildcat looks very good the rzr is the past the wildcat is the future.
@19ramcharger92 And you know this how?
Obviously they have difference, but they are in direct competition with each other.
Never thought I'd see the day when manufacturers would be calling 14 inches of suspension travel inferior.
Looks like it was designed for the baja. But for the woods, no. Suspension looks like it would be easily damaged.
Hell yea,i agree completly with ya!
its kinda funny ive seen a rzr go through whoops at 45 mph it doesnt look nearly anything like that i think theyre making the wildcat seem better than it rly is
@19ramcharger92 Well, I guess I just don't see the point of trying to hit the rocks with one of these. Especially since Cat has pretty much said that it was inspired by sand rails. I absolutely hate Arctic Cat products, but after seeing one of these up close, WOW!!! It is a sexy sombitch!!!
@SCROGY the shocks are good i will give you that but its a sand dune utv so i would expect it to have good shocks it even says in their promo vid enspired by sandrails but look im a woods rider and this utv isnt a woods machine they used automotive paint for the color dumb I.M.O when it gets roosted once in the woods by a RZR the paints gonna be chipped there is nothing to this front end at all and i just think its ugly
my dad owned\ and still owns a arctic cat 700 i side by side. he flipped it 5 times
olled it down a hill in the same crash... so please don't talk about their speed of it the weight of it and flatus of them. all i care about is the safety of them so yeahs. btw hes still alive
There is no denying that the suspension on the wildcat is far superior than the rzr or commander, look at the numbers and video. who knows about speed though. looks like rzr has some competition.
That's right. But the fact of the day is I really don't care anymore but thanks for the reply friend
@rubr1m polaris doesnt make there quad engines.... the race quads are ktm engines
Rzr xp stomps that piece

First! I love my Prowler XTZ 1000. Wish it made the power this one does....
To each there own
There's no point in arguing with you, because you're obviously a huge Poolaris fan. Power is easy to fix - WCD evens the field, cams and porting makes the v twin a monster.
so the fact that a stock Wildcat won King of the Hammers last year doesn't impress you?
i Didnt hear anything about them saying razr sucks compared to them.
Those were demos, there is already video of the production wildcat beating the xp in a drag race. Dont buy a made in mexico polaris when you can buy the new top dog wildcat thats made in the usa.
Nice story bro!?!?
just like an arctic cat
Going up the hill climb the RZR didnt spin out they just turned it to the left. Lets be real for once.
lets be honest, both companies with try to make their product look superior. Simply put, polaris has been in the sxs business for quite some time. Didnt take long for Arctic Cat to pass polaris up atound here

@galily69 Get your facts straight? Both have 13" ground clearance nerd.

@rangerRZR1 Oh, BTW, the burden of proof lies with the one making the claim.
@palmstrokerforever........ I'm sure it's a helluvalota fun but I'd rather have the XP that's 200lbs lighter and proven!....
I was wrong to say I don't like it.
I'm sure it's fun as phuck but I'll stick with my XP.
thats why they call it a "1000" and not a "950" sounds bigger
Rzr xp's dominates any utv. The only thing thats a threat to polaris sxs' s are mavericks.
They could have spec'd it with better tires and charged an extra $800 for the machine, then you might still be stuck with tires you don't like.
