What a wonderful episode! Bev was very inspiring. I am a retired nurse and had surgery at 64 years last year. I also appreciated the discussions about Oprah and goal setting process! Work, accountability and deliberate process! My smart goal is to start riding the Peleton bike 20 minutes in addition to my 2 mile walking the dogs.

I had VSG in Europe in 2020 and I guess I'm what you called a "super-responder"! Never heard that term before but it describes me! I went from 262 lbs to 135 lbs, 24.5" waist, and became a hybrid athlete in my 40s. I still can't believe how life-changing VSG has been for me. I was obese my entire life and am fitter and happier at 43 than I've ever been before. I love your podcast. You and your bariatric surgeon colleagues around the world are angels.

Something has to be done to make it be covered. Obesity is a disease. Your body and brain are linked, and for many people, it is unavoidable to be overweight without medical intervention, lifelong.
