- In today's video I am sharing with you a weekly meal prep, where I try new recipes, explore flavours and get prepped for the week ahead.
For me sustainable living is always about cooking from scratch where possible, valuing what you own, introducing minimalist ideals by keeping our space free of unwanted items and lowering our waste wherever possible. Zero waste living is something I strive for. Meal prepping for autumn, learning new skills and minimising wherever I can. I hope you enjoy this calm cooking video!

I love the style of your videos! It's slow paced and very comforting. Thank you for sharing this with us
Thank you so much that means a lot! I always worry they're too slow for today's attention span but hope that there are people out there that like it!
@@SustainablyVegan We need a lot more of the slow ones nowadays to calm our nerves and brains. I am starting to dislike the fast-paced videos. So thank you very much. Otherwise I'd have nothing to watch! Your content cheers me up!
In the broader context of health and home cooking… I’ve been reading on the internet, once again, that the single most prominent factor in one’s longevity and quality of life is what one puts into their body. The secret to living a long and healthy life is right there in our kitchen. This comes as no surprise to me, and I am always excited to see new recipe ideas from you that are full of healthy veg and legumes. I’m sorry to hear that your wisdom teeth have been causing you problems, but hopefully that is all behind you now. A quick little opinion here… I love plant-based meatballs, but I find the concept of a meatball sub to be very strange. Thanks for the great little video today, I hope you are healing up well. As per ushe, I am looking forward to the next one… Ⓜary💕🌿
Thanks Mary! I hope you're doing well? I missed seeing your comments when I didn't upload for a while!!
Oh dear! You simply can’t have a tagine without dried apricots! Lol My Mom used to make a tagine that was so incredible, and away from home it is definitely one of those comfort foods that take me back.
I finally made the conversion to Veganism and I must tell you that I am super excited for food again! It’s been a journey to decide this lifestyle but I thank you for sharing your recipes and thought ! ❤
You guys need to try letting the couscous sit in vegetable broth with a tablespoon of sesame oil 🤤 it's soo delicious
Ohhh sounds delicious! Definitely will next time
My favorite series! I'm not meal prepping at this moment, but your films are so encouraging for me to try something new in my kitchen 🥘 Thank you Immy!
your loaf looks incredible! 💕🔥
Thank you so much Lily, I've been learning a lot from your channel! Sorry to hear you're closing down your bakery I'm sure you'll be missed!
Something I started recently and really enjoy is making mixed spiced beans from scratch in my Dutch oven from dry beans. My husband and I like them so much better and we know everything that goes in them.
Something I've been doing for years is making my own hummus. I can't have commercial hummus cause I'm allergic to sesame (tahini) but it tastes better homemade.
Take care of yourself - I sympathize with you - I had all of my wisdom teeth removed too. You put so much thought into your recipes. - dishes always look delicious.
I have never thought of making curry paste so I will have to try this now. We do lots of food prep on Sunday's and also like basics so I have been looking through my grandma's cookbooks.
I'm from the US and think that meatball subs are strange lol, my brother used to get one every time we ate at Subway as kids.
Also! I saw vegan fish sauce at Whole Foods the other day and am considering trying it out, but I just thought I would mention it to you in case you wanted to try it in the thai green curry paste next time!
You were a busy girl indeed considering your wisdom teeth situation. Re the sheetpan prep I usually see the chickpeas dressed and popped in the oven on their own. But no matter as you said. I totally agree with you about the bread making. The starter is the key and habit plus routine gets the job done. Feel better 😊
If you have cooked the meatballs you should be able to freeze them again, you just can't refreeze raw.
Yep cooking gives you another chance to freeze.
The food looks delicious, get better soon. 😊
I was about to go to bed and read a book but I'll watch this first :)
M xx
ideas for lentils? would you ever come out with a cook book. I love your meal prep videos
I would definitely love a cookbook too !!
Oooh maybe I should do a video just on lentils? Oh a cookbook would be a dream, maybe I should put that on my vision board x
Hope you're feeling less bruised and battered soon ❤
You’re amazing. Thank you for sharing. 🫶🏻
I love these videos I always find a simple recipe or two to try for the week ahead
Thank you for sharing! Everything looks delicious!
I use the impossible meat to make Korean Bulgogi. I get or make a Korean bbq sauce and add cooked carrots, wilted garlic spinach and quick pickled cucumber. Sooo good
One of my 2024 goals is to meal prep more. Your videos are always inspiring and so helpful! Thank you!
Peaceful and inspiring video :) I definitely need to meal prep more.
I hope that your recovery goes well (
I made roasted red bell pepper hummus yesterday. I follow the rainbow plant life basic hummus recipe
yuuum I love all of her recipes tbh
Thanks for these beautiful recipe sharing and the care you put in your filming ans sharing with us your meal prep ❤
idk if you have that in the US but i've been ordering a box of "rejected" produce from odd bunch every 2 weeks to save money and food waste. love your videos, they're so comforting and inspiring!
oooh I'll have a look! Thanks so much for watching and your kind words
Everything looks delicious. I would be happy to eat this food all week. Thank you for this great content. A lot of thought and time goes into the production.
Congratulations to you and your family ! I'm assuming it is your first, its such a wonderful gift! ❤
Glad your doing better!
Oh I'm not sure what you're referring to?
Hope you feel better soon! I remember getting my wisdom teeth out (I looked much more chipmunk) and it's not a fun time those first few days! Take good care
Love these ideas, and the curry paste is genius. Thank you!
I love your videos and always look forward to them. Speaking of "meat balls" Make it Vegan by Madeleine Olivia has a recipe for black bean meatballs that I love ❤️
Hope you feel better soon, Immy.
Appreciate you x
I love your videos! ❤
Good recipe
Terrific--ty
The tagine looks tasty! I wonder if the butternut squash peel was tender enough to chew. I've never had any luck getting it to soften so I always peel it first.
If you baked/cooked the meatballs, then you can freeze them. You just shouldn’t freeze something after thawing it, because bacteria in it can start growing, but cooking kills bacteria, so it restarts the process :)
I loved this video, I am sorry about your wisdom tooth and thank you for sharing the tip on the notebook with ingredients - such a great efficiency tip! Btw, you sourdough bread looks incredible - it seems like you've nailed it!
Everything looks so good! You really do make beautiful videos. No fun about the wisdom teeth... hope you feel better soon. And yes to meatball subs! ☺
Thank you so much! I always appreciate your comments :) Hope you're having a lovely start to the week x
@@SustainablyVegan ☺️❤️
Hope you feel better soon!
Hope you feel better soon. You always give me great ideas. The ingredience book is something I am going to implement. Take care. I can't wait to see your next video ❤❤❤
It would be good to get closed captions for your videos as you talk very softly and are often using VO over other footage! Deaf/HoH/deaf folks deserve to learn about sustainable eating too 😊
Sometimes they take a bit to load but the CC works for me
Can you share your ratios for the sourdough please? Looks great!
❤❤
Hi, do you have a video or recipe for making the sourdough and the bread?
I am literally filming one right now :)
where can i find the recipe for bread that you follow ?
Anything Jamie Oliver makes me shudder, cashing in on something he’s too lazy to do himself. He irritates me as a Brit and says horrible things about people on low income here painting a stereotype not based in reality (I actually wrote to him about it and I got a letter of ‘apology’ plus a book with meat recipes despite telling him I’m vegan, he’s so tone deaf).
I doubt he even read your letter, it's probably one of the people who handle that type of stuff for him
omg thank you for sharing, honestly I had no idea. This was the first cook book of his I'd ever owned and it is... interesting
We can never have enough veg recipes!! Beautiful, relaxing video🌱We have our own UA-cam Vegan Vlog Channel 🍓where we feature lots of veg food! We'd love if you have time to check it out! Thanks!💕💓
