Black Panther has always been a fav of mine. I'm going through his Jack Kirby origins and they are so awesome. You are always an inspiration Alex!

I just like the word "Gouache".
I miss his old costume, not based on design but based on the vulnerability he lost. That being said, I love listening to Alex discuss characters.

... ALEX ... I never think about what materials were used , I just enjoy the image for the image , whether it's watercolor , acrylic , gouache , or oils , doesn't matter . I also enjoyed the Black Panther in Jungle Action , Rich Buckler , Billy Graham , with some amazing Gil Kane covers , later .. Jerry Bingham did some great black panther stuff as well . I love how you incorporate " Old School " in your art . ... Thank You ...

Stan lee once said that he loved creating Spiderman because he had that outfit all over his body and you can never tell what race he is. He enjoyed that part that anyone can be spiderman, as in..you never know it could be your friend or guy next door, or the janitor. What I am impressed by is your paintings, your work, no matter what medium you use. Even with a.i now, I have this deep craving thirst with putting pencil, ink and paint to paper. Seeing your work just inspires me there is yet so much to learn, so far away and distant, which is what I like. I like how you incorporate the old and new together, in your work and listening to your insights.
gouache is my fav as well. so good. and transparent watercolor.

You speak on how important comics and reading is, especially for youngsters. I don't know if I would have escaped from the bigotry of where I grew up if it hadn't been all the amazing books and comics I read as a kid.
Alex can you use acrylic gouache or himi jelly gouache
2:48 they weren't, they were working in tempera, usually either casein or egg tempera, this is a common misconception because tempera is used as a catch all term including gouache.
