The last, Turanian and Stormglass, is what I use for my main base and it looks great, especially at night with regular fire lights. On another channel (I forget the name) they used the Turanian bazaar set (mostly the white silk wall pieces) with Argossean and Aquilonian to good effect.
Arena (foundations, ground/top ceilings & outer pillars/stairs/fences) & Nemedian (walls, mid ceilings, inner pillars/stairs/fences & roofs), plus their doors/gates combine perfectly is my favourite combo, second and significantly cheaper to build without creative mode is Insulated Wood with Nemedian celings/roofs and a touch of frontier.
Sometimes you only want/need one piece from any set. I like to use frontier ceilings through many builds because of the even boards and decorative filigree. I also like using the lattice walls on the 2nd high wall as ventilation in warmer biomes, roleplay of course.
Glad my favourite Stormglass-Turanian got here (black and gold is my favourite combo). Aside from that I love using Aquilonian/Argossean-Frontier (A/A for exterior, F for interior to make it more comfy and warmer with wooden pieces), Aquilonian/Argossean-Turan (basically making bridge between eastern and western cultures, sometime calling it "Byzantine" or "Sicilian" style) and Stormglass-latice pieces from Stables (since Stormglass has no open windows, many of its builds, especially in warmer biomes such as EL desert, jungle and savannah, and IoS floodlands and Isle of Dawn, could feel very stifling, and latice could get some air in. I suppose same issue could be with Pyramid set, so using lattice walls here could work as well)
I built a Pagoda 100% from scratch and memory using Aesir walls as a base (also concealing a dungeon underneath) and Yamatai for the towers. It is my favorite build to date
Mixing it up is always best, yep. SOme amazing combos and versatile builds. I always try to go for the 'lived-in', slightly shabby look with working bases, and throw in some 'bling' for the sorcerous and leadership. I would also include modded build-pieces, but that raises the risk of base collapse should there be an issue with the mod in the future.
Personally I've been using a lot of Aqui/Argo with Nemedian roofs lately to create things like Aquilonian Blacksmiths/Tanneries/Woodcutter type buildings. By then using things like Insulated wood to create shacks for storage things really start to come together. Perfect for a section of a city where the less opulent of people might live!
Aqualonian and Arogosian may as well be the same-ish set really. Lol, I mean even the decorations look like they go together the only difference is the sea theme for Argosian.
Yeah they do basically seem to be designed together. I get they were going for the Greek and Roman takes on Classical architecture separately, but they're incredibly similar, as in real life 😂
My castle build uses Black Ice, Storm Glass, and Frontier. I used a couple of mods, Black Ice doesn't have the ugly wood frame on the inside wall and I use Lemurian for black marble floors and stairs, and I forgot to mention Nemedian wooden floors for the ramparts which contrasts nicely with all the black.
I used the Aquilonian/Argossian + Stormglass when building your most recent maproom design. I used the stormglass to close the gaps because I was building in the jungle and I didn't want the rain coming in.
There's no secret right or wrong way to build. It all comes down to personal preference and creativity. Some prefer simple builds others prefer complex.
IMO Arena works with everything. It's probably the set that I use most. I used to play on a server with someone who mixed storm glass walls with aquilonian floors. I don't think that I would have put those two together but they looked great in his dark castle.
Arena is incredibly flexible, I'd struggle to think of sets it doesn't work well with. Stormglass & Aquilonian is definitely an acquired taste bc of the contrast, but it can work very well
I've been ask to make a vid on the Anti-Purge bridge I use and how the build it. Might jazz it up using the Nemedian / Yamatai sets if it works. Was the Aeisr set a Bazzaar thingy? that could work on a few aspects
Hey my friend, can you show me or point me to whatever you did to make the gray wall behind the khitan doorframes? I do not seem to have that piece in my collections. I cant seem to replicate it, although I have watched every video you make
Any chance you will doing some more EBA builds? I really appreciate how immersive your creations are. I love adding versions of them into my own game!!
Absolutely! I've got a few suggestions for future EBA's in my list, though some are a little tricky than others. I'm planning to do another pretty soon
I find the nemedian roofs having unique roof tiles allows you more easily break up the shape of the roof, and it tends to work with most sets. My biggest problem is getting into material ruts where I overuse one building set then drop it and move on to another set and over use that one.
Welcome! A lot of them in this video are DLC packs, which you can find on your relevant storefront. If you're on Steam, they go on sale a lot, so waiting for one of the seasonal sales is probably your best bet. However, some others (Aesir, Stormglass Cathedral, Turanian Extension etc) are in the Black Lotus Bazaar, the in-game storefront, so unfortunately you have to wait for them to come back around, as the store rotates regularly. If you're looking at the DLCs, I have reviews for all of them on my channel, and the same for all the building sets from the Black Lotus Bazaar!
@@roninswilduniverseofdota2701 It might be the clipping of a nearby building piece stopping things from snapping together. Sloping sides and fences can sometimes be an issue
Nemedian & yamatai for japanese castle build walls and ramps nemedian walls roofs and doors with windows its yamatai other parts its stable or frontier
Turan gate with People of the Dragon. That gold and black gate/gate frame brings a bit of bling to an otherwise austere build. Plus, the chicks dig that combo. (you know, for the servers with those 'special' mods

Turanian, Reinforced Brick. W/ some splashes of Khitan and Yamatai
Storm glass and stone brick look great together
The last, Turanian and Stormglass, is what I use for my main base and it looks great, especially at night with regular fire lights.
On another channel (I forget the name) they used the Turanian bazaar set (mostly the white silk wall pieces) with Argossean and Aquilonian to good effect.
I've not actually found a good use for the Turanian tent walls, but I hadn't thought of Argo/Aqui. I'll have to give it a go
Arena (foundations, ground/top ceilings & outer pillars/stairs/fences) & Nemedian (walls, mid ceilings, inner pillars/stairs/fences & roofs), plus their doors/gates combine perfectly is my favourite combo, second and significantly cheaper to build without creative mode is Insulated Wood with Nemedian celings/roofs and a touch of frontier.

Very true, frontier floors are very nice. I've done quite a few builds where that was the only Frontier tile I used
Glad my favourite Stormglass-Turanian got here (black and gold is my favourite combo). I suppose same issue could be with Pyramid set, so using lattice walls here could work as well)
I just tried Nemedian and Argossian today and it turned out great!
I built a Pagoda 100% from scratch and memory using Aesir walls as a base (also concealing a dungeon underneath) and Yamatai for the towers. It is my favorite build to date
Mixing it up is always best, yep. SOme amazing combos and versatile builds.

I'm working on a Pyramid & Stormglass combo. so far so good but the Turanian goes well with it too.
Yamatai Stairs and Argo roofs with the Pyramid set looks nice.
I like Kitan for inside walls as it's the same on either side and either the french of greek styled doors for between rooms.
I like to use Nemedian with a mix of stable, insulated wood, and flotsam fences for balconies or roof trimmings
One of my favorites is Sandstone (Thatched-Roof) and Nemidian, But after this, I want to try Yamitai with the thatched roofing.
Nemedian and stable for the main body with argossian roofing. Gives it a nice Mediterranean feel and a bit of the AoE2 Spanish building vibe.
Great combination. I just dont know how you find the ideas for those designs of yours. You have a gift!
Funnily enough, I may just have a video scheduled all about the idea-gathering process 👀
Aqualonian and Arogosian may as well be the same-ish set really. Lol, I mean even the decorations look like they go together the only difference is the sea theme for Argosian.
Yeah they do basically seem to be designed together. I get they were going for the Greek and Roman takes on Classical architecture separately, but they're incredibly similar, as in real life 😂
forgot my favorite, arena and frontier. although pyramid and reinforced stone has been something i also found works together well.
Dang some very nice combos there!
I recently used black ice walls with nemedian roofs, gave my build a dark medevial feel.

Aqui/Argo and Stormglass is pretty good, though it does overlap a little. Solid choice nonetheless
Instead of Argosian, I always think Argonian. I play alot of Elder Scroll games.

Arena and Reinforced Stone makes for an oppressive feel when used properly.
Hey my friend, can you show me or point me to whatever you did to make the gray wall behind the khitan doorframes? I do not seem to have that piece in my collections. I cant seem to replicate it, although I have watched every video you make
It's called the "slotting" trick, I have a full guide on it here:
ua-cam.com/video/aOT87m_fBHQ/v-deo.html
I like Nemedian with Stormglass Windows personally tho Nemedian and Yamatai isnt too bad as well

Nemedian roofing is some of the best IMO, it's incredibly flexible. I feel you on the material rut problem, that's me with Stormglass/Arena 😂
Black ice and frontier ❤
Khitan or Yamatia with stable latice work
Just started this game yesterday:) how do I unlock all of these different types of build materials? Thanks

@@Eradicati0nn thank you soo much man!! Top tier uploads, I’ve been learning soo much from you
Forgot Arena/yama, gives a good contrast, then nemedian roof (always nemedian nowadays😅)
Arena goes with basically everything
Try Pyramid + Stormclass = nice contrast 🙂
did you use building mods on the cathedral?
The build at 0:30? If so, it's mod-free, and the build guide is already uploaded :)
@@Eradicati0nn I will look for the video thanks. I'm trying to make your balcony and it is not letting me put those 3 bottom pieces together.

Wonderful video, as always. You're super, God bless you!
Too bad Aesir and Pyramid aren't available for purchase for new players, would try a combo of them. 😅
Turan gate with People of the Dragon. That gold and black gate/gate frame brings a bit of bling to an otherwise austere build.
Plus, the chicks dig that combo. (you know, for the servers with those 'special' mods
khatin and Nemedian. if no one has mentioned it
Calling me out right there.
Well I was building a cathederal until I saw yours. But mine to shame lol
