I have a dumb question, again. I once slid off a canyon road and rolled a van a bunch of times until the canyon leveled out somewhat. Oddly ,in my mind and memory, the portion before the rolling (where I was "in control" and making decisions and mistakes) seemed to happen and still replays in my head in slow motion. But the rolling over part was more like photographic stills that 'replay" in my head like a series of still photographs. Earth, sky, grass, fence grass sky, sky filled with grass, etc. I wondered if it is similar for you.
