The Ottoman Empire had not one anthem only! Every Sultan had his own anthem:
1. "Mahmudiye marsi" (marsh for Sultan Mehmed II.), composed by Giuseppe Donizetti (1788-1856), adopted: 1829-1839
2. "Mecidiye marsi" (marsh for Sultan Abdul Mecid I.), composed by Giuseppe Donizetti (1788-1856), adopted: 1839-1861
3. "Aziziye marsi" (marsh for Sultan Abdul Aziz I.), composed by Callisto Guatelli (1820-1899), adopted: 1861-1876
4. "Hamidiye marsi" (marsh for Sultan Abdul Hamid II.), composed by Yesarizade Ahmed Necip Pasa (1813-1883), adopted: 1876-1909
5. "Resadiye marsi" (marsh for Sultan Mehmed Resad V.), composed by Italo Selvelli (1863-1918), adopted: 1909-1918
6. "Mahmudiye marsi" (marsh for Sultan Mehmed VI.), composed by Giuseppe Donizetti (1788-1856), adopted: 1918-1924
The marshes had no lyrics!
Best wishes, Erwin Hoheisel, Eppstein (Germany)
Just one thing, the Mahmudiye Marşı was not composed for Mehmed II, it was composed for Mahmud II.
The Hamidiye Marsi and Resadiye Marsi DID have lyrics.
thx for including 3 anthems for Portugal!
The Empire of China (221 B.C.-1912) had four anthems:
1. "Li Zhong Tan Yue" ("Tune of Li Zhongtang"), written and composed by Li Hongzhang (1823-1901), adopted: 1896-1906
2. "Song Long Qi" ("Praise the Dragon Flag"), written and composed collectively, adopted: 1906-1911
3. "Gong Jin'Ou" ("Cup of Solid Gold"), written by Yan Fu (1853-1921), composed by Bo Tong in 1675, adopted: 1911-1912
4. "Zhongguó Xióng Lì Yuzhòujian" ("China heroically stands in the universe", written by Yin Chang, composed by Wang Lu, adopted: 1915-1916
Best wishes, Erwin Hoheisel, Eppstein (Germany)
16:13 que viva el imperio mexicano 🤲
You have forget the anthems of the Holy Roman Empire (of the German Nation):
1. "In Adventu Regis", (For the Arrival of the King"), written and composed in occasion of the coronation of EMPEROR Ludwig I. (son of Charlemagne) by Théodulf d'Orléans (755-821),
adopted 816-1797
2. "Gott erhalte Franz, den Kaiser" ("God protect Francis the Emperor"), written by Lorenz Leopold Haschka (1749-1827), composed by Franz Joseph Haydn (1732-1809),
adopted: 1797-1806
Best wishes, Erwin Hoheisel, Eppstein (Germany), author of the booklet to the CD-series "The complete National Anthems of the World", edited by Naxos International Ltd.
Portugal x3 vamos!!!
Only the first verse of our current Anthem, that isn't right, you could of, and should of put there all 3 verses of the Anthem
You're videos are seriously underrated
thank you my guy
The Ottoman Anthem is like an 1930s Classical Music
The two anthems of the Empire of Manchuria were:
1. "Jiàn Guóge" ("Nation's Foundation Song"), written by Zheng Xiao-xun, Composer unknown, adopted 1932-1942
2. "Manzhou Dìguó Guóge ("National Anthem of the Manchurian Empire"), written by Zheng Xiao-xun, composed by Kosaku Yamada (1886-1965), adopted: 1942-1945
Best wishes, Erwin Hoheisel, Eppstein (Germany)
I like the massive tone shift between the first and second Portuguese anthems

- EMPIRE OF BRASIL 70 YEARS
RIP First and Second Mexican Empire ♥️🇲🇽👑
Ya rip
The Portuguese "Hino da Carta" (Hymn of the Charta) is really cool. And so was the flag.
best sequel
I just realized the flag of Manchukuo is the ROC flag but the yellow stripe was taken out and made the background, because that stripe represented the Manchus.
Si buscan el himno del imperio otomano les aparecerá el verdadero, el que aparece ahí es uno más reciente, el original es muy intimidante, en el se baso john Williams para la marcha imperial de star wars
Good
Ethiopia lived for 700 years without any strong country taking it? Damn bro has strong balls dude😮
The last one from Portugal is just perfect🇵🇹
Oye, me podrías decir de donde sacaste la versión de Reşadiye Marşi? Me gusta bastante.
perdon por no responder mas antes, no se si ya lo encontraste pero aqui es donde lo saque

Can you do countrys that don’t exist anymore part 3 please
hmmm.... maybe
The Korean anthem somehow makes me feel nostalgic, probably because of those 8-bit games I played when I was a child.
It's not original version
idk why this video had that
8:35 probably the only monarchist anthem in this list that calls itself a Republic
The first modern republic
@@tsukishiii 1. The French EMPIRE was not a Republic. That’s why I find the lyrics hilariously ironic.
2. France? No.
@@Swissswoosher I know. The first republic came just before the first Empire. It’s also the first modern republic when you read the constitution and you look at its institutions.
@@tsukishiii but then why chose an anthem for a monarchy that literally hails the republic.
Aren’t you forgetting the US?
@@Swissswoosher Because the term « republic » had a good connotation at the time, even though the French Empire wasn’t a republican regime
Qing dynasty sounds like a Legend of Zelda background music.
Proud to be from abyssinia ethiopia empire
