There was an artist one with a painter/decorator and it literally changed his life he became an artist for real. There's a special catch up episode called Faking It How It Changed My Life
I think the mentor had to bully and wind the guy up a bit to get some fire in his belly. Get some attitude in there. He admits as much at the end.
I think so, Stuart Weston is his name, sadly passed away in 2015 from what I can see.
