My cat is fascinated by water so he'll watch me EVERY single time I take a shower and observe the water and me. He even helps me drying my lower legs with his tongue while I use my towel. He is so sweet.
I will never forget the time I was taking a bath and I opened my eyes after a relaxing hair-soak and I jumped out of my skin because my cat was just there. Staring at me
I just got a little kitten that was 3-4 weeks old. I found it crying in the wood pile, and it did retreat and hiss at me when I reached out, but did not scratch or bite when I picked it up by the scruff. At first it was scared and did try to defend itself, but was not at all mean. I took it in and softly and held it close to my heart so it could feel my pulse, and within about 30 minutes it had adopted me as its new mother. Recently I caught her brother in a location much further away. He is a decent amount larger, so I presume she was abandoned when mama cat moved the litter because she was the runt, and her mother probably did not have enough teats to go around. Miss Knottingham is only about 4 to 5 weeks old now, and already knows what "yes", "no", "good girl", "bad", "treat", and "get it" mean and has just about learned "give me a kiss". It was somewhat amazing that all she ever knew was a woodpile, and somehow when she saw a litter box for the first time, she knew exactly what it was. She has never gone outside of her litter box. I guess she instinctively wanted to bury her stuff to stay hidden, and that was the only place she could dig. On the topic of not burying their stuff, after she got comfortable she let a couple go without burying them apparently to mark her territory. Even though she is much smaller, she is much smarter than her brother and I believe will be a better hunter simply because she has far more body whiskers than he does. I call her "Knotty" for short, because she's always tying herself In a knot, then falling asleep looking like a pretzel. I live on "that nice little farm up north" where losers abandon their pets when they no longer feel responsible, so this cat is a couple generations feral, but was conquered by kindness. If more people would treat more people with kindness, the world wouldn't be such a violent, feral place.

My cat is obsessed with a flushing toilet. If I want to know where he is I just flush then all the sudden I hear the pitter patter of kitty feet racing through the house. I then have to flush it a few more times to satisfy his curiosity. He just likes to watch it swirl down.
I had a cat who learned how to flush the toilet himself. I thought there was something wrong with the toilet always running until I caught him on top of the tank.
I recently adopted and I don’t think he was allowed in the bathroom - he sits next to me, pressuring me to hurry up and flush. It could be worse, I used to have one also obsessed with the toilet; obsessed with dropping coins into it!
Cats and other animals can tell when you are hurt. When I broke my arm I had to take a shower and it hurt to say the least. My cat sat outside the shower watching me making sure I was ok. He has never done that before. He would also come and sit with me to make sure I wasn’t hurting.
I have two cats who don't enjoy each others company and avoid each other. One day I was really upset, and sat down crying, talking to my partner. At some point, I realised that both of the cats were on my lap AT THE SAME TIME, one on each knee. They never do that. I felt so loved in that moment.
Mine comes running whenever I whistle. I did a little research and it’s because cats hearing range is higher pitched than dogs (why baby talking to them works so well lol) and the sound we make when whistling sounds distress or hurt to the cat so they come running to comfort you and make sure you’re alright.
When my grandpa passed away back in May, my cat (and my husband) wouldn't allow me to be alone for 3 days. They both followed me everywhere. My cat also puts her paw in my hand when I have to make a stressful phone call.
@@laurafranich4807 Mine does that. Let me guess, if you try to sidestep her, she immediately positions herself in front of you again, and slow down for no apparent reason?
My cat has run out in front of my feet while I'm walking. I've ended up accidentally kicking her because of that. That makes me feel bad and at the same time I'm thinking that she really shouldn't have run in front of my feet.
I’ve heard that if your cat keeps messing with your laptop, if you make a little replica laptop they’ll sit on “their” laptop instead of yours. I’m not sure how true it is but it’s absolutely ADORABLE either way 😂
I adopted my cat from the shelter. No one wanted him because he likes to bite. I have had him 3 years and he still bites. (only me). He’s slowly coming around. I taught him to sit and shake. He rings a bell. And he rolls over. Stormin Norman is the greatest cat ever!
One of our 3 cats likes to nibble my hands. I let her because i have very tough skin and it doesnt hurt me. And since i have been letting her, she almost never does it to the rest of the family anymore.
@@poellot it's a cat's thing 😅 if they wanted to break the skin, they would.. It has some meaning for them that we do not get. Mine bites out of love 😍
My rescue kitten knows that he can make things on my phone screen move if he steps on it, drags his feet, moves quickly, etc and he LOVES doing it! He is six weeks old and surprisingly smart, funny and affectionate.
My cat when she was 3yrs: I will steal all your lollipops and hide them under the stairs where they will remain hidden for half a year. Also my cat at 3 yrs: I will randomly bring you some of them for no apparent reason.
Cats are the most misunderstood creatures Often people describe them as not loyal and vicious But truth is they adore their humans' company and they only get defensive when their boundaries are crossed They are very loving and intelligent 😻
I had 3 cats. 2 male cats I had, they ran away or someone took them. 3rd female cat we had to sell because we were moving and didn't want that the cat ruined new couch. 😭
@princess Amne Muhammad I’m sad to hear this. Sending you healing vibes and wishing you loving memories of your beloved cat. I adopted 10 over the course of the years, I was a mess when they passed.. each separately. 🥲
The younger of my sister cats started peeing everywhere one day, but still in the litter box. I was going through a tough time myself so thought she was just trying to get my attention. Once I had a calm point I took her to the vet and she had diabetes. She was very unwell at that point I felt terrible for neglecting to think it could be a medical reason. Got her on insulin twice a day and she was so much healthier. Sadly she passed during the early months of the pandemic. I’ll never forgive myself for that period where I didn’t think to check earlier just because my life sucked. I miss her affection every day. Please make sure to checkup your cats whenever.
No matter how weird and odd some cats might be, they are always beautiful and unique in their own way. I love all kinds of cats and try to give them all my attention. My cats are like family members for me!
I love how cats have been walking over things that humans write since at least the 15th century. It makes me really happy knowing that some tabby put his mark on history forever with just a few steps. That manuscript should be in an art museum
Writing maybe, but they've been walking on things we make for much longer! They've found roof tiles from ancient Rome with pawprints and I believe pottery with prints from even older civilizations
Literally my cat thinks every single item in my house is his. Like he owns everything, as if he worked for and paid for everything including the house itself and me.
They know how to educate their humans. When I once was at my mom's fridge and said "Mmh, poultry, looks tasty", at least two family members looked chidingly at me and said "That's for the cat!". Well, at least I got a sandwich.
And that’s exactly why you can’t buy your cat a gift, they think they already own everything. (Paraphrasing a cartoon from The NewYorker many years ago)......
Cody yells at me when: the wet food dish is empty, the dry food dish has an empty area, the water bowl needs refilling, the litterbox is dirty and he's pooped on the tile floor. It's my job to follow him and (hopefully) figure out what do you want NOW!?!? 😹
My shower door had a crack on the bottom th at my cat used to wiggle his paw thru while I was showering, regardless of how wet it got.... The same cat would flinch and run a whole room away if a drop of anything liquid landed on it at any other time. Same cat never slept with me in bed ever except for the time it had to wear a cone on its head after a vet visit. grr. though I do think it loved me late in life because it did cuddle alot outside of bedtime purring. I know they can purr when in pain but why cuddle with me while doing it only. He did die though. Cats play tough, and say nothing even on death's door. I noticed nothing u nusual for awhile, then when I noticed he just wasn't as fast in general but still acted the same, I spoke to two different vets and th ey both told me he had cancer spread across multiple organs. I wish they knew I still loved them even if sick and to not put a strong face on, bah... Not being able to communicate well with your pets is the hardest part.
There has been this kitten outside the appt where I live. It's been almost a month since I first noticed her. She has a dirty collar on but no tag. Out of no where she start crying at my door. I gave her food but she actually wanted to come inside. This morning she followed me to throw out the trash. I think she lost her family and is asking for help
Find a rescue. I don’t understand how people can just watch cats, including kittens, who need help and just leave them be to survive on their own. Especially when they’re obviously non feral. Figure out rescues near you, Instagram is good for it.
When I was a teenager - with all the mood swings that can come with puberty - my cat would try to comfort me if I cried. She never wanted to sit on your lap, but if I cried she'd jump right on and try to lick my face. It was gross but also really helped. I tried to fake it once out of curiosity, she was not impressed.
Cats are not only smart, but very empathic...mostly due to scent. We give off different scents with our moods, even though we dont actively notice it, cats do. I've also found that cats really help teenagers deal with a lot of that stuff and help mellow out some of the worst of it... I have one cat that has adopted first one teenager, then when he moved out, the next teenager. It's like he raises them and they are his 'boy' and his 'girl.' He sits with then when they are upset or lonely and keeps them moving when they need to be... he even groomed my son in his sleep to try to make sense of his double cowlick hair.
My daughters cat came to visit for a few days and would follow me everywhere, I think it’s because he thought the stuff I was doing was interesting... like carrying baskets of laundry down 3 floors, or spraying water on the floor and moving a cloth back and forth over it. He was a HUGE fan of the roomba. He would crouch down and follow it by side stepping along its path. So cute.
My mum used to bring my first cat ever with her sometimes to meet me halfway on my way home from school. When my cat spotted me on the long road, he always ran to me with full speed and peed on my leg 😹❤️
when i first bought her , she would CRY if i leave her alone , she would meow and run everywhere to look for me , and she would always sleep on my shoulders , on my lap , arm , beside my leg , now shes getting older , she was 2 months old , now 4 months

Also, cats always like to sit on your books, laptops etc because cats are curious and require/need and even demand contineus attention of their companions. By their nature they are curious to know why you constantly look at those items like laptops or books, paying so much more of your attention to the laptop or books than giving them (the cats) a little of that attention.

One of my cats will randomly slap you in the ankle when you walk past him. He doesn't use his claws or anything, just gives you a nice slap and then runs away like a madman. Is there a reason for such a bizarre yet funny behavior?
From what I've seen on UA-cam about cats, that's their way of asking you that they want to play. Some cats start to play bite/be more aggressive when you ignore them when they do this. But me thinks yours doesn't do much of that. But still, he probably got some pent up cat energy and wants to play. He runs because he expects you to chase him most likely. :P
We have 13 cats and one dog. I barely have moment to myself when I sit down. A few of the cats are very independent, but several of them are constantly on top of me. We have one chatterbox and, boy, does she have a lot to say about her brothers and sisters. One of the cats likes to bury artificial flowers in the litter box. It’s quite interesting behavior.
@@adeleennis2255 same here actually! At my dad place we have a lot of animals, chickens, ducks, all of those farm animals and we have 14 cats plus 2 dogs! Whenever I sit on the stairs where the cats like to hang out, I start to pet one, another one sees me petting the first cat, comes to me, and I also start to pet it, this repeats most of the time, one of our cats even gives you a hug when you pick her up! She puts her paws on your shoulders and leans her head against you, her fur is so soft and she purrs very loudly, and I love it! And then if course, when I go outside I play with dogs or cats that are currently outside, all the cats( and basically any animal) I've met was the sweetest, well maybe one time where a chicken started to chase me wasn't the sweetest, but ya know
My cats was so patient with me in the beginning. It was a little hard at first but eventually I learned. They don't have to meow at me twice, they trained me well. 😸😊
Love these video’s! ❤ They are super informative. I think it is so funny how every cat has their own habits. Like Jackie and Teddie are TOTALLY different, so sweet.
I can definitely confirm the "book" part, years ago when I lived in an apartment with my mom, our cat Julie would always be laying on my backpack and I would never have the heart to kick her off when I needed to use it. She also proved I was her favorite when she decided to give birth to her kitten Midnight (actually born around that time) in MY closet area also confirming she felt safe around me.
I had a cat that had the genius idea of giving birth in my bed, at night, while i was sleeping on it, and after that she would refuse to put the kittens in any place that wasn't my bed, I moved her and the kittens into her little house that she had in my room and she just moved them back on my bed, it ended up turning in kind of a problem cuz i couldn't sleep on my bed, i felt honored tbh but still
Actually the Ethiopian mountain lions live in mountains but are almost identical in look to regular savanna lions they are slightly different they have darker fur
I can’t imagine letting a cat roam outside uncontrolled. Risk for the kitty, death to local wildlife… am hoping to build him a catio and harness train him with a leash, but no unescorted roaming! Instead we give him play sessions throughout the day to practise hunting and stalking, and a good seat at the window to observe the wildlife visiting the bird feeders. :)
I recently moved to my boyfriend's house and he has a cat that used to hate me. Well, now that I've been taking care of him, he loves to snuggle and follow me around. I was never a big fan of cats either but he's literally so sweet 🥺💖
You should make a part two. I already have 2 questions for you to answer: 1. Why does my cat insist with walking under my feet and causing me to trip/step on them? They're smart. Don't they know that I might step on them at this point? 2. Why does my cat *insist* on rubbing themselves on my flip flops, hold onto them, scratch with their back feet, and bite at them?
@@tita-rx2dv really? Because I've had about 10 different cats throughout my life (not all were mine, but I lived with all of them), and the only one that did the shoe thing is my current cat 😳

I'm not going to lie, I have a cat and at first, I was against us getting her but she was a rescue, she was found under a car hood in the desert. She was pretty wild for a kitten and is known to our family as a " aggressive " cat which she was in the first few months but she became a total sweetheart to me, I don't know why tbh. She absolutely loves being in my room and sleeping on my shoulders or arms while I'm watching TV or sleep or on my work desk while I'm working, sometimes she'll try and lay down on a book or laptop if I'm laying down. I can honestly say that this cat absolutely loves me and I love her, never thought an animal outside of a dog could feel so much love for a human. I can have a crappy day at work and as soon as I come home she makes it all go away by being excited to see me and jumping on me, she loves laying down on my clothes too, leaving tons of hair, lol. I can say that I'm a manly man but not afraid to admit to friends and family about our cat.
A note about the picking up by the scruff: Kittens get a flush of soothing endorphins through their body when that happens, which serves as extra encouragement to immediately go limp.
First time i saw my kitten sleeping with her tongue out , i called her she didn't budge. I thought she died and started tearing up suddenly she opened her eyes. She still sleeps with tongue out sometimes

My mother told me that everytime she cries one of our cats starts meowing at her. Cats are really sensitive.
Mine comes running whenever I whistle. I did a little research and it’s because cats hearing range is higher pitched than dogs (why baby talking to them works so well lol) and the sound we make when whistling sounds distress or hurt to the cat so they come running to comfort you and make sure you’re alright.
One of my cats is basically a therapy animal for my partner. Whenever they’re upset they cuddle together to calm my partner there
When my grandpa passed away back in May, my cat (and my husband) wouldn't allow me to be alone for 3 days. They both followed me everywhere. My cat also puts her paw in my hand when I have to make a stressful phone call.

So cute.

A note about the picking up by the scruff: Kittens get a flush of soothing endorphins through their body when that happens, which serves as extra encouragement to immediately go limp.
❤️❤️❤️
Its also bc thats where the mothers pick them up from and carry them as kittens so it probably makes them think of their mothers
First time i saw my kitten sleeping with her tongue out , i called her she didn't budge. I thought she died and started tearing up suddenly she opened her eyes. She still sleeps with tongue out sometimes
"Me reading book"
Cat: "walk on my book"
Also cat: Unfortunately, this book are mine now.
“cats belive your house is their territory”
it's like stealing a house from someone
This is why you can't really call a Khajiit ES player a murderhobo.
Or maybe being a murderhobo is normal Khajiit behavior.
if only it was that easy just walk up in there one day like sorry bruh this is mine now
I moved out & came back to visit after 10 months , my cats have been watching me sleep, shower & eat lol . They’re like whoaaa I remember this guy !
Man I love reading these comments there just so sweet and cool to see everyone's pet cats and what they do, it just makes me want a cat even more (I've always wanted one)

Get one guys they will change ur life and aren’t that hard to take care of, just need litter and food!
I’m laying next to my furry friend at the moment! Lol
I have been wanting one since 12 years (I am 11)
This explains a lot. Thank you!
Let's be honest, none of us came here for scientific facts.
We all came here to be awwwed by the cuteness of cats.

My cat just loves everyone without exception, and he is super sweet and cuddly, soft too. But sometimes he just won't stop meowing and I try everything but I cannot find whats wrong

I think sometimes they’re just talking. I start “conversations” with my cats all the time and they start then of their own accord too.
No idea what we’re talking about but we always answer each other 🤷🏻♀️
Stewie siamese are very vocal! Is ur cat a vocal breed?
@@oldfogey4679 are russian blues that vocal?
I meow back and we have a conversation. It’s cute when I sometimes see from Thor’s reaction that my meow resembles the real thing.
Cats are so interesting! Thanks for sharing this - it's fascinating!
My cat is very interested in me and I’m interested in her

I lost my cat that was 28 years old
That was very hard. By accident
A friend rescued a baby cat that had been abandoned on the freeway and brought her to me .
She has given me a great amount of love and loyalty .
Jesus
I just love how everyone in the comments just does weird things for their cat just to entertain them!!
❤️❤️❤️
Daisy loves sitting on my laptop or books, usually when I'm trying to study. If only she was so keen to do the work for me. 😂
OH MY GOSH RIGHT!
This is such a fascinating vid - thanks so much!

@@thebrownbanana5443 You don't like cats, we get it. Just let this person like cats, God damnit. IMO it is all obvious
My cat doesn't just hate closed doors, he hates open ones too. I can't tell you how many times he's gone behind the open door, and pushed it closed. Then he complains that it's closed.
When you're cute, you're cute, what can one do? 😽
No. It's just that you're a person living off simps.
Agreed
@@kevinbuenaventura148 I was referring to cats. Simp is a derogatory word that in reality describes the sexist men that use it.
