    Thank you for this. I've consistently scored 750+ in math across all four practice tests, but I faced challenges in English. This video addresses most of those issues.

    2:56 what if in the option choices there is a dash and a colon, how do i know which one to pick?

    • @user-qt4no1mm3h
      @user-qt4no1mm3h 5 місяців тому

      when you see a dash and colon in the options cross them out because it means the same per what i have read so the answer cant be neither of them

    • @SetteleTutoring
      @SetteleTutoring  5 місяців тому

      They are basically the same, so if they make you choose between them, then they are either both wrong or there is something else going on in the choices that will force you to choose. Maybe there’s an apostrophe or a comma or an additional word that changes the sentence structure of one of the options.

    • @SetteleTutoring
      @SetteleTutoring  5 місяців тому

      This is basically correct, but there might be a case where we need the dash because there’s supposed to be a double dash in the sentence.

    Hi Mike! Dumb Summaries are good but sometimes in purpose questions (Module 2) it gets really hard, so matter how hard I try to interpret the text. I really liked your dumb summaries series can't you come up with a new advance strategy for specific of english and math questions e.g. hard quadratic questions, Command On Evidence etc. Please, no matter how hard I am trying to work on my weakness but my score is even decreasing (Max= 1250).
    In conclusion, mike please help with hard module 2 questions for both English and math.

    • @SetteleTutoring
      @SetteleTutoring  9 місяців тому +1

      The hard module is definitely hard. And since you don’t have more time, the pacing is much more difficult. In Math, the two main things are being quick because you’ve memorized all the right formulas and vocabulary, and using the Desmos calculator to solve algebra for you whenever possible. If you’re getting anything wrong because you don’t remember a topic, then you need to memorize before you think about strategies. Still, Plug Points Into Equations helps a lot, even with hard topics.
      For Reading, the next place to focus after Dumb Summaries is Strong Words and Trap Answers. Did you watch those videos too? Most passage question mistakes come from not understanding the answer choices. You probably understand the passage enough to know which choices could be right, but then you’re falling for the traps that the SAT sets.

    • @SetteleTutoring

      I hope the test went well! You can still do pretty well not knowing lots of the words or not understanding all of the passages.
