Im 89 and listeb to this video every Friday night when having a few Malt's - Love this song just makes me want to dance, but sad to say i cant anymore - but it makes me smiles as well...
I don't want to be Captain Obvious but how does a masterpiece like this have just 32k views? Masterpiece both with regards to the song and the performance. Borrell is something else. But give credit to the backing vocals, too, they give such a specific flavour to this. Bravo!
Agreed, just superb. It was seeing this performed on TV (Jonathan Ross or Parkinson) that just stopped me dead. What was that!! Very underrated, gone under most peoples radar sadly
In spite of being rather great and memorable, proper "indie" rock isn't very fashionable anymore, + this band pretty much disappeared from the scene after 2 critically acclaimed (+ one decent) album, whereas their contemporaries either kept on going by releasing alright albums for their fanbases' sake (e.g. The Strokes) or tryin' superhard to evolve their sound to be more publicly acclaimed (e.g. Kaiser Chiefs) or by chance become part of modern rock establishment (*cough* Arctic Monkeys). Razorlight's one of the embodiment band of the early 00's straightforward indie rock bands and had a collection of very beautiful songs thx Borrel's natural talent, but they sort of became destined to be part if that "first wave" and never becoming nothing more. Music of that era got its base audience but mostly they're grown up people that have families and jobs these days, and the genre's not favoured among younger audiences in the same manner it was from 12 to 20 years ago - thus the lack of views. Unfortunate but true. I still favour them obviously but don't listen them too often either, it's nice to hear they reunited this year.
What an incredible live performance of a work of art song. This band deserved far more recognition than they got, and should have gone much further. Totally gifted, and talented musicians.
They were really big early to mid 2000s . I was at uni that time and always played in the bars and clubs. Really liked em but media hammered em after 3rd album. Loads of lineup changes as well now. Shame
I went to see them in December last year and Johnny was still so energetic and sounded great..the performance shown here is fab especially with the backing vocals
I never listen to the words of fools a little small faces line but what a song great energy giving it there all can't wait till they come to Glasgow iam grabbing 2 tickets for us can't let him miss golden touch & America live in person great company around me & we will get to see them as sister gonna order 2 tickets online the 2nd they come here & tickets start been sold
Maurice seeing razor light live will never leave your head just as good or better live than on disc & so much energy in tht band saw them once they blew my mind but praying for band of horses to play Glasgow .
I was in. I even had a 'moment' with 'Ed'; I was his missus that night and some next ones, having fun and laughs twisted in the bedsheets the 3/4 of our available respective schedules (I was practising performing as a prima ballerina on ROH in Covent Garden) around 3 weeks; ) It's a sweet memory lost in a moment of my life. Well, let bygones be bygones... But I'm not too fond of the current times.
Sorta can’t wait for the “The” bands to come back into trend. My favorite time period. Razor light was defo one of my favorites, despite not having “the” name :)
I was at the Glasgow leg of this tour. It was crazy how popular they were - they had a countdown clock on screen before they came on and the crowd were so up for it, sold out too. NME dropped them like a bag of potatoes when the indie boom was over.
@@NosajKnows not really coz most of their songs were pish anyway but still back then you had rock bands making catchy choons like this all the time ... Nowadays you've got fuck all
So weird what happened with Razorlight. In the mid-late 00s, you really felt like they were a special band. They were ubiquitous and had the tunes and live performances to back up the hype. Then I guess they got found out because they have fallen deeply into irrelevance

I've been listening to this song since school and only now, at 28 years old, did I bother to look up Razorlight on UA-cam. This performance is so fun.
Hadn’t listened to Razorlight for years and woke up this morning with this song in my head and I just can’t stop listening to it haha
