Its interesting to see how we went from membrane keyboards with screens, knobs, media keys, usb hubs and all sorts of things to 80s looking mechanical keyboards only to now return back to the screens, knobs and other things :D I'm loving it though. Also gotta love budget options showing us you don't have to pay ridiculous prices to get decent equipment.
Got this yesterday to review, sound and feel are amazing... especially for the price! Red Dragon is really stepping up the game as those switches are phenomenal for any keyboard. Key caps could be better, I don't like the side connection and list price is a little high considering the current crop of budge AL boards - for $50 though? Yea. I'm still testing but my initial thoughts, I 'm blown away for the price! Fantastic review, happy to see you are getting the word out on this board!
Red Dragon has dramatically increased their quality over the years. I haven't bought one of their keyboards yet, but they are inching closer to being on my radar. I think they could benefit from a rebranding or creating a new product line separate from the traditional Red Dragon branding.
Bad keycaps, Bad RGB, bad software and bad build quality. Nope. I regret the one Redragan purchase I made this year. An internal wire was right under where a switch pin had to go, very bad.
U think we could get a metal frame for this and just upgrade it from plastic? I have this keyboard and wanna upgrade tf out of it but idk where to even start looking for a metal frame for this specific board.
well and typically when you go with the budget option of anything, the word "budget" tells you that it 100% is not going to be of high quality and you can pretty much expect it to break much earlier than something of a better value. But who knows. I bought one today from microcenter for $44 and i'm honestly impressed with it. all of my keyboards are keychrons but i wanted to get a smaller form factor keyboard to play shooters on since i decided to stop using controllers. Either way, this thing seems to be amazing for the price. but i will let you know as time goes. i'm thinking this is one you won't have issues with. As long as you're not throwing it around, dropping it, or slamming it down on your desk like a mad man.
My only gripe would be with the side usb c port and the north facing switches, everything else im fine with. Imo, 80 usd for this is borderline expensive, but for 50 usd it's a steal.
There is a lot budget custom keyboard right now come from china manufacturer. Around 100$ you can have full build, cnc aluminum, hotswap, gasket, tri mode keyboard. The market almost oversatuared when china step in
Havent tried the this Red Dragon keyboard, but other models from them... They cant be compared with the Azoth, period. Azoth (and especially Azoth Extreme) are built insanely good, hands down. Did you see the flex on this Red Dragon? 50 bucks is a great price, however it can't compared with Azoth - only on paper maybe? Dont regret buying your Azoth 😅 (and no, I'm not an ASUS fan boy or employee 😂)
Very surprised by the bad build quality. I have a Redragon K588 and I'm pretty sure I can run it over with my car no problem, lol. Royal Kludge RK84 it is then.
Here is the Promo extra code TECHNE708 (10% off)
Thx

If they change the logo and use a different font than that genshin impact-looking one, they'll get much better exposure
I like that Redragon included a nifty lil Type A-C converter in that cable.
Then we have Logitech.... 😅
😂 but for 5x more $
@@TheTechne u roasted him good

I would have purchased it, but it is not available in white
Corsair K70 LP M.2 for $40 off Ebay was my best purchase.
saw this video on someones birthday and bought it for him. This video came just in time. For a first keyboard, this is a steal and great.
I gotta admit it reddragon is no joke I've only had a couple things but zero complaints they are great

The KLIM Shift is the best budget keyboard peeps, order one up Techne and review it!
thanks for your review
Whenever there's a budget product that seems too good to be true, it makes me question how long it'll last before something breaks

I fell o dumb that i spend 279€ for asus azoth when you can get so good budget stuff

yo you gotta try the korui 75% if you like this! great video as always
Redragon just knows how to hit the budget market…
Amazing that it's only 50. Think I might get one dang
Absolutely worth it
I got my asus azoth a year ago and now this 50 dollar keyboard does what a 200 dollar keyboard does...(maybe better?)

Idk

but is it gonna fall apart? I've had redragon products kind of self destruct on me. You kind of get what you pay for lol

lol just casually watching redragon cause its the best, and this KB is 80 bucks not 50 haha.
Technie … I am sorry, that sound is god awful …and usb c charging port on the side just sucks….
Font is shite
the keyboard costs 79.99. where you getting a $50 price tag from?
If you watched the video he literally tells you 10:50 into the video.
@@wilazn and how does that have anything to do with him repeatedly saying its 50 throughout the rest of the video?
@@GDubbleBubble there's a 30% off coupon that you check off and you use his coupon code. Are you that dense?
