Live shrimp w cork is my very fave way to catch specks or reds. I'm usually wading... I'd flip the heck out of that canoe trying to land something. I carry a truck innertube with a laundry basket attached inside, tethered to my waist... where I keep my icechest and bait, etc. Gr8 post!
You said an armor hatch fell on your wrist? As in tank hatch? I bet that hurt. I got two hurt knees from jumping out of good airplanes, and 2 bad ankles from potholes in the LZ at Ft Bragg back in 1990. Go 35th Sig, 82nd ABN Div.! Hoorah!
Nice catch brother, Red drum is definitely one of my favorite fish to catch and eat. Familiar looking yak too, glad to see you're putting her to good use.
Awesome! I was just down fishing the sea wall at Perdido Pass this past week. Nothing but Pigfish for me. Still trying/learning. The fishing information on equipment used, and the fish species, not to mention the catch and cook in your videos are my favorite of the channels I watch. The recipes look very delicious. I’ve tried the Chef Paul’s Sea Food Magic, it’s absolutely a new favorite. Keep up the good work . Look forward to the next. God bless
@@BamaSaltwater haha didn’t think of it that way lol. That’s sweet man! Maybe you could ferry it to other areas only reachable by boat and get some super good kayak content
Sweet video man! My dad and I are gonna try and get on some Reds in the up coming months hopefully. It was cool being able to meet you at Hooked Up Wednesday.
It’s a good one! It’s fast in the water, I’ve fished a lot of kayaks and I started out on a Walmart Kayak many many years ago haha, then went to an Ocean Kayak. Now I’m back in an Ocean Kayak and it’s a beast for sure
I do a lot of similar fishing to you tho I do more from the jetties probably. I was considering whether to get a kayak/micro bot or a slightly bigger boat. My ousins got a bigger 500 HP boat I go out with so Im OK with boats. Been considering either a Seahunt Triton 200 or a Scout 175 sport. Any advice?
Man I live about 4 hours from NC Coast I have been trying to catch a red fish to eat for years but when you're only down there a week at the time or I should say a week a year it has not gone to plan how catching flounder that's a different story I can do that redfish always seem to elude me well I take it back one year I went down there and caught 50 of them they were 10 in to 14 in long and had to be 15 inches or bigger to keep just my luck so I guess I'm going to have to leave North Carolina come down there fish with you to catch a redfish lol
You are my new favorite UA-camr
Thanks for your service.

That Red fish looks delicious, I will have to try that seasoning. I usually use Tony Chacheres cajun seasoning on my catfish and panfish. Great video!
Always enjoy your videos.

@@BamaSaltwater what happened to it? I woulda kept the hobie and gotten the boat so I could have options, but that’s just me
@@BamaSaltwater haha didn’t think of it that way lol. That’s sweet man! Maybe you could ferry it to other areas only reachable by boat and get some super good kayak content

Yummy 😋 my mouth is water.....
Did you scale it? So you can eat the skin?
You peel the meat off of the skin! It comes right off easily 👍🏼
Great video man. If you don't know about grilled redfish...somethins wrong witcha. Love the outro. 👍🇺🇸
Any way you could tell me where you are at? I’m in foley!
Whoohooo-! I’m 1st. I’m going to get a pelican catch 100 with remote control trolling motor for Christmas!
Yeah Bama, it’s got a 360* swivel chair and a rear transom motor mount. Should be perfect for the Tennessee rivers and lakes.
Well done! Great content and the grilled Redfish.... Mmmm! Makes me hungry! :- P
You ever fish Shelby lake, or is that fresh water.
It’s a lake what you think
Hey brother I meant to ask you how you liking the new kayak

What’s your thoughts on the stall you got?
Love it, I fully expected it to be gritty and heavy like all the others but this one is one of my favorite inshore reels that I own now !

Are you selling the Hobie?
what type of cooler do you recommend for begginers
that is small enough to fit on a kayak and pretty cheap
Real big fan of the Engel Dry Box/Coolers with the Rod Holders for the kayak amzn.to/3kRGpCt
My man don't need any saltwater hooks. He just slinging em with ole rusty hooks like the rest of us. 😂
Owner Size 1 SSW Hook is a saltwater hook 😂😂
What happened to the Hobie?!
Sold it, upgraded my boat with some accessories such as my Power Pole , new Garmin, JL audio haha.
I wonder why Alabama and Texas don't have snook
Texas has snook, Alabama gets too cold in the winter to sustain a good snook fishery
Is LadyFish another name for Skip Jack
That's correct!
Boat or kayak
Ive never understood why they call em lady fish they arent lady like at all lol
