Back in the huddle!!
I concur - Dr Dre excellent as an MC (his delivery is close to being unmatched, to me - notwithstanding him having lyrics written by others - Snoop, DOC, Jay Z) allied with his musical excellence.
True! You have to remember dre coach his rappers on there delivery snoop Em all of em they were rough diamonds before they got in the booth with dre, he teaches them how to use there vocals to the best of their ability and how to deliver, dres delivery is, 🔥 he might have them lyrics wrote for him but he puts his own stamp all over em.
Great convo fellas love our generation of geniuses on this hiphop jump the game and talent style originators musically was the dopest depthwise the world ever heard and seen and felt on this daily was a surreal and vibe filled culture and life living real deal hands on innovating and had to be present and in it to recognize it was the greatest times ever changed history like electricity. Music saves souls
🤔 Listen to NWA - days of way back and Above The Law - murder rap. Dre could do a versus and not play anything past 1991 and still win💯
😂😂😂 you right
While Crips and Bloods did setup in the MidWest, GDs, BDs, VLs and BPS was already in the MidWest
Shout out to Dr.Dre
bros what ever Dr dre was doing it
got Jimmy attention and east coast
attention so attention Dr dre in the house
Salutes
My favorite ice cube certificate was my favorite lps
Mc Eiht and DJ Slip. Make some great beats to they crazy on the production side all those instruments mix together down to 1 track oh yeah 😂
Above the Law even says Dr Dre was there teacher so what does that tell all of you Dre haters..
YO!!! JUS THINK IF CMW AND NWA COLLABED I THINK THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN BANANAS WITH PRODUCTS FROM DRE AND SLIP
I have the Chronic over Doggystyle style. It's not touching the Chronic
WtF !! Who y'all fooling this is not new 😳 Anyway y'all talkin bout Dre ya need 2B talkin bout It's a Compton Thang STR8 Checkn'em Music 2 Drive by + We Come Strapped
all phuckin 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Word.
Eiht looks like he's ready to stab out
DAZ IS THE BEST
When you say Daz, you mean Priest. Daz is a fake producer
Madlib body of work is far greater and vast.
Lmaaao "and it ain't close", wtf. Preemo is the only producer present on Illmatic, Reasonable Doubt, and Ready To Die. Westside fanboys are really funny and I'm not even American... But Eastside is so much better. DJ Premier made some of the best beats of all time. Dr Dre made commercial and inferior beats.
Eight can’t stand Steele lol
hecho in mexico johnny j all time great 100 million record sold mexico born 💯 all eyes on me and me agaist the world thug life
Over Madlib, alchemist, j dilla, 9th wonder, pete rock? HELL NAA
Quik
Then the new generation killed the feel good music 😂
Dre is a finisher he knows how to put the finishing touches on a record when someone brings a record to him.DJ Quik will always be a better producer to me even Eazy E knew it thats why he wasn't trippin when Dre left bcuz he was tryna sign DJ Quik. Not signing Quik i know was Eazy's biggest mistake when he had the chance. If Quik was on the east coast they would put Quik in the top 3 of all time
Nah man you trippin! E knew dre was the man don't forget he from nwa, straight outta Compton, eazy duz it, docs album no one does it better.. Yella might have had a hand in it but dre was the main man behind them boards even cube said that, it's was dres production, to say dres just a finisher is obsurd.
If Eazy knew it... If Suge knew it... If anybody knew it, Quik would have gotten Dre's position, the second he left two very successful labels. You had all the so-called secret ghost producers on Death Row working on Doggfather and Chronic 2000 and yet neither of those albums have the sonic touch that Dre did when he did 2001. Quik is phenomenal beyond words but Dr. Dre is where he is at for a reason.
@crazyjim9380 Quik was already on Profile there was only so much they could do with him.I did read an article awhile back that he was getting pulled in so many different directions.Eazy did try to get him on Ruthless where Profile had to send Eazy a cease and desist letter to stay away from their artist or legal action would be took.Quik hot suspended by Profile too and Suge made it worse by goin in there threatening the president and probably tryin to get Quik off of Profile so he could officially put him on Death Row but it didn't work.Thats why any projects Quik worked on at Death Row it was his government name David Blake so he wouldn't get in further trouble.Thats why I said I know that had to be Eazys biggest regret not signing Quik bcuz Quik and the Penthouse Players tried to sign to Ruthless in the late 80's but Eazy just brushed them off like they were just another average group and at that time I know there were a bunch of people coming at them with demo tapes.Suge and DOC had Quik too on their record label before Death Row kicked off but it was some behind the scenes stuff that prevented that record label from rollin so Suge let Quik go and do his own thing.Quik talked about that a few times saying that's how he knew Suge was cool ncuz he could've strong armed him like nah you ain't goin nowhere but he let him go
Norman wanted to be "all up in the videos" and now it's dry AF from what it used to be. 2 of the 3 look like they dont even wanna be there. Watch on mute 😅
Since Norman thought of the show, financed it, and all that other stuff, he could have done that from the gate if he chose too.Norman has docs on tv and just renewed with iHeart. Norman is handeling his business you should try that and get off Norman’s sack 😎
@DigitalSoapboxmedia don't be mad, Norman. I don't care what business you handle. As a fan who used to watch the show all the time and get others to tune in, I'm letting you know its dry. I'm sure you can tell by your youtube and IG analytics.
Dr dre didnt produce enough. Flashes of brilliance.
He got enough classic albums under his belt and I mean beast albums heavy classics
Dre ain't even in my top ten. Quik blows him out of the water. All of Dre's hits were already someone else's hits. Cold 187um is a better producer than Dre is, in my humble assessment. The Chronic was very similar to Black Mafia Life. To me it matters when a producer can create a song without using another song to do it. Daz is better than Dre. HE just doesn't have the machine behind him. Also, Gangsta Pat deserves an honorable mention for his production, career, and being the first from Memphis.
Mannie Fresh up there imo
Interesting. I'm 60, and thinking back to the late 70's and early to mid 80s, we didn't know anything different, of course you use an existing song and rap over it. That was hip hop. That was what made it hot. A song we are already (often) familiar with, being presented diferently. And the fact that everybody older than us thinks this "rap mess" isn't music and won't last, made it all the better. Indeed, if a rap song didn't use an existing r&b song as a foundation, it often had a hard way to go; too artsy fartsy; just use James Brown and kick arse. But this is 79, 80, 81, 82, 83, etc. By the time the aesthetic changed to more sample based music, I was in my early to mid 20s and not even claiming rap, because my female demographic had changed. LOL
And that's the thing that Flash is harping on with everyone during this 50th anniversary. This thing we love started from DJ Culture (to quote Chuck D), and that was the break beat, extending that joint so the emcee could get down, and sometimes the emcee was the DJ giving public service announcements. But that's what made it hot. That hook from a song you know. And this is way way way way way way way way before samplers and shit. And its what set our music apart from the generation directly proceeding us. The genius in Funky Drummer isn't doing anything to it, the genius is 1) recognizing it, and 2) knowing not to do anything with it but loop the mo'fer. And this is a record that came out in the late 60s. Plenty of folk heard it and didn't think anything of it. But a certain DJ (s) eventually did and said the treasure is in those 8 bars towards the end of the 45....and the rest is history....that's the essence of hip hop....organic....God's work...in my humble......and I'm not disagreeing with your opinion either.......I can see where you are coming from....but we all can like different flavors of ice cream.....
It’s obvious you’ve never really listened to Dre’s music lmao. No way is quik a better producer.
@@USCfan03 I've heard everything Dre has released. But was I wrong that all of his hits were someone elses songs? Most producers can take a hit and make it another hit. Oh and there is a list of producers who say that Dre put his name on their songs or he just added the finishing touches to their songs, especially on the Chronic. Dre was just able to get a machine and the right people behind him. Just being popular doesn't make you the most talented rapper or producer.
@user-er3eh8ov4s I concur. I think Battlecat is a better producer than Dre.
J Dilla got Dre beat in my honest opinion cause Dilla was pro at everything and did every single thing himself regarding the entire production process while also being able to be a rare example of a quality and quantity lol he has so much music out in the short time frame of his life it's just utterly incredible and ridiculous simultaneously.
For me DJ Uneek is number 1
The Neptune's and Timberland over Dre. Especially because they actually touch pads and keys.
& Timbaland is still active NOW, not 25 yrs ago 😮😂😂😂😂😂
KHAYREE from YBB/Strictly Business killed Dre! No debate about it
KNOCC IT OFF CUH, HE ONLY KNOWN FOE MAC DRE 1ST ALBUM
@@UncElroyDaKangWhat he's known for is a big difference between the music.... KILLIN DRE ... ALL ORIGINAL MUSIC , not sampled already hits.... Knocc it off cuh........ Mac Mall, Ray Luv , young lay, Mac Dre, The MAC, Dubee
Dr.Dre is a mix and recording engineer, he helped a lot of artists reach global recognition, but is not the best producer ever, not even by a long shot.
He up there but not #1 for me👍
Best producer ever? D.J Premier
GOAT, came in to say the same.......
J Dilla is to me.
Stella voice is annoying
Dre is overrated.
Dre is DEFINITELY not in the top ten. He fairly dope though
I’ll give him top 10. He did the 2 NWA albums and DOC. He’s definitely not 1
Dr. Dre best producer ever?..you must be out of your mind.....DJ Premier, Pete Rock, Marley Marl, Erick Sermon, DJ Quik, Warren G, Large Professor, 9th Wonder, Buckwild, Lord Finesse, Q-Tip, Havoc.are better than Dr. Dre
Don't forget RZA
Dr Dre is a clown 🤡 he doesn't even make his own beats.
Black caesarnot4me that's that
He ain't fuckin wit primo
