    I’m an RN in peds Interventional Radiology and currently on my on-call week. So interesting to see things from a doc’s perspective! I love all of the Attendings I work with and am appreciative to see the kinds of things they go through on the daily. Also interesting to see how different the types of cases we do on the regular are from the adult side of things.

    I love watching your videos!! I have Myasthenia Gravis and was diagnosed with stage 3 Thymic Carcinoma. Needless to say, I’ve had a lot of procedures done by Interventional Radiologists. It’s really sad when they know you so well that they recognize your name! I didn’t know anything about what y’all do until I got sick. I find it really interesting!!! Thank you for taking such great care of patients like me! I hope you and your beautiful wife have a great weekend!! 😊😊😊

    Hi nice to see u here this AM. So much to see there! Questions
    Why does Adriana have to go to Hamptons to work?
    Can u explain when u put in a nephrostomy tube like u have to cut into the kidney? How does it not bleed? Why is it the interventionalists put the smaller diameter tube in &the Urologists still use the older big tube? My husband has had 179 stones. They don't count the 3 hes had for yrs that have been lazered 3 times but they can't put a dent in them. They don't count them till they come out here. Do u put the stents in too? Also your patients are lucky u round on them. The interventionalists don't here. He does say they are much nicer then say the regular docs who have done cardiac caths with stents and all the kidney stuff tubes stents ect. That they talk to him through out the procedures. Last will u still round once done and on your own somewhere.Haven been a Nurse over 20yrs till bad injury. I still love learning. ❤your videos!

    And we already gave tpa and admitted the patient. Hahahah. Thank you thank you for your super helpful report.
    Just a bunch of dudes hanging out in the call room eating stale pizza. We all know how it is. Half these younger kids watching barely know anything on here.

      I don’t think you know what Interventional radiology is....

    • @jaskarp6381
      @jaskarp6381 4 роки тому

      Dr. Cellini
      You either did traditional rads and then IR fellowship or you did an integrated IR residency in which residents get like 3 months of IR usually.
      No doubt IR is very hard and super competitive. No one is doubting that, you guys save the day all the time. Embolectomies, TIPS, you name it - you guys are badass for that.
      I’m just saying your videos tend to valorize this false idea that you are awake 168 hours working and “all doctors do is work.” Lol. It’s a good way to get clicks for college kids and scribes lol I guess. Makes sense. But we all know that’s not true. There are call rooms, IR doesn’t even come in unless things are emergencies lol on weekends half the time . Out golfing. Just like all of rads lol.
      Or maybe it’s exciting after 5 year rads residency of looking at films. You’ll do a handful of some things, LPs here and there, fine. But overall I think we can all agree rads is a much more chill residency than other things. No consults, no discharge summaries, half the time the report comes like the day the patient is discharging lol ..
      That’s all. But it’s UA-cam after all. And most of these kids don’t know about any of that. The reality. It’s like all scribes lol or ms2s lol. Oh well - they’ll see - let them take their first call shift ahaha.
      Well I guess it’s kudos for getting 250+ on step or whatever to get an IR spot.
      Best,
      Jaskar.

    • @DrCellini
      @DrCellini  4 роки тому

      1. ESIR. 4 years of radiology with the last yr almost entirely IR, plus 1 yr of fellowship
      2. I’m not awake 168hrs. That can be seen when I say “im leaving the hospital” and then wake up the next morning.
      3. We do not have call rooms bc we don’t take in house call.
      4. Keep in mind I’m a fellow. I answer pages nonstop bc I am the only one on for my service after hours. Emergency or not, I get woken up for.

      Dr. Cellini Nice; thanks for taking the time to reply, and still remain non confrontational and professional. That’s really good character.
      Apologize for being brusque earlier, and no doubt interventional radiology is extremely difficult and rewarding - your guys’ work saves the day for many patients. I mistook you, erroneously, for someone who advertises themselves in a flashy way, but I am mistaken.
      Fellowship can be hard, just increasingly more responsibility and you already know that. Well I rescind my comments; sorry Dr. Cellini! I enjoy your videos nonetheless. Best of luck and keep posting!
