Bok supporter here. Firstly, NEVER write off the ABs. They're the Boks' biggest rival and it's always a hard game. Huge respect to the ABs and no doubt they will bring their A game. May the best team win! Go the mighty Boks!
You lose, you get Scott Robertson, you expect a miracle for him to win the 2023 RWC, in the end your rugby goes into more decline. You win, Foster stays, still have a good chance to win the 2023 RWC, in the end you can build for the next RWC. So all in all, ab's decide.
@@RugbyFacts this would apply if we didn’t have the talent and depth but we do have it. I’m not saying we will win the next WC but to think we have to rebuild for the next one is ridiculous. SA literally went through a similar transition period before the 2019 WC and won it. Lol how can anyone at any point in history say “the ABs won’t win the WC” Calm down buddy
Well it seems like Robertson would rather join a rival nation than to coach the abs. He said it himself. Regardless if he comes, it doesn't guarantee you winning he RWC or improving the team. Club rugby is very very different to club rugby. I never even said that nz won't win the RWC, so by all means you should calm down buddy and be careful what you wish for...it might turn out to become worse.
Neutral here. These next two tests could be all time classics. The ABs are still an outstanding side and South Africa is about the toughest place they could go on a poor run. Has all the potential to be earth shattering.
Outstanding side, shit what team are you watching, there rubbish, worst all black team in history, picked on the colour of there skin by the instructions of this govt with rascist polices desguise as inclueviness and equal representation,Sean Fitzpatrick, Marc Hinton, David moffat, Justin marshall have all come out and said this is not the team to take to the world cup
Wallabies supporter here. My money is on the AB’s getting touched up. The boks will want to bounce back in typical Goliath fashion after a shaky series v wales and they’ll smell blood in the water after the AB’s series loss and the hoopla around them. Springboks game to lose for sure. No predictions for the second yet
Progressive is right, this the left wing wokeness of this Arden moari lead govt who as a racist policy desguise as inclueviness and equal representation and wants more players of color and so picking more black players who aren't nessacarry the right player for the position causing a decrement in the output of the outcome in other words it doesn't work
SA have the potential to play some breath taking rugby, but are always so cautious. They have the speed and technical skill to blast teams away. I hope we see this side of their game this weekend.
As a neutral that's what always makes SA so boring. I genuinely want the teams that play the most expansive, skilful, and entertaining style of rugby to win. If SA don't bring that then for the good of rugby the ABs have to win
It's called test rugby. But unfortunately those very same All Blacks are the ones to blame for the 'boring' rugby we see at test level these days. THEY were the ones who managed to destroy the proposed breakdown rules some years ago by suffocating it at their provincial level giving the lame excuse that there 'weren't enough breakdowns' - the main way they win their games - and hence highly intelligent coaches like Rassie are forced to kick because what's the point of giving possession away in the midfield? Nope, the ABs can stew in their own juice. Plus of course their ridiculous neutering of the Boks by excluding them from the covid Championship has left a very sour taste over here. However, thanks to that idiocy, we're now going North-South and they can suffer playing in Polynesia until the cows come home. I actually don't care. Oh and the pleasure of not having to watch those silly hakas is a huge added benefit!
@@HM-mw7cg “Always makes SA so boring.” Patently untrue, guess you missed the 2019 WC final in which SA were the only team who scored 2 tries running from the halfway line.
Why is it that South Africa will continuously win but still you people act like they don’t play the best rugby. This World Cup they proved how expansive their rugby is. They play to win not impress common people who are going to be prejudice toward them anyway. Did you watch the game against France? Like seriously bro. This whole World Cup they have been trying to get this team banned or rules changed because of the bomb squad which was an elite play. Y’all will scream rugby is boring just cuz you can’t beat the Boks and its truly transparent and pathetic
Not sure why the Kiwis are stressing out, the Kiwis always step up their game when playing the Bokke… it’s just insane to think they won’t do the same this time is a laugh. These games will be so intense
because we have this delusional running game that we believe will bust any defense wide apart! Well since 2017 our so called running game has been exposed with the rush-umbrella defence and has become predictable! Guess what type of defense the Boks use against the All Blacks!
The Boks rarely put their opposition away. They can dominate the ABs for 90% of the game, but they don't convert enough. This has happened inumerable times, but just over the last 10 or so games, Wales twice, england, NZ twice, Australia once. Each of these games SA should have been out of sight, but lost most of them. Now the ABs, even when they are taking a hammering on the field, they can produce 2-3 tries from nothing. So combine that lack of ruthlessness with AB magic and it is always a toss up.
and thats the point ive been making.they have the ability still to score tries from nothing that means they do have the players and its a coaching issue.all black management is responsible for player signings, envirement ,training facilities and other behind the scenes stuff, the coaches are responsible for preparing ,selection,on field adjustments,(thats why its ian fosters fault they took ardie off in the second test against the irish he was clearly playing the best on the field and they still had over 30 mins left to play🤦)and strategy/gameplan and its up to the players to excecute and i feel the players are executing the gameplan and strategy the only problem is the gameplan and strategy sux.hopefully the new assistants can implement the right adjustments.
Yip, this is the genuine truth. I've watched so many games where we just let the other team in, regardless of who or how the game is going. The All Blacks will punish that. I can see it going 1-1 with two close games again.
@@acadoe here is where we might disagree lol i think it will be a tough series with hopefully 2 hard fought matches ,where we see some sort of improvements in facets of the game where we were dominated by the irish mainly in the forwards , suppoting the ball carrier, the play at the ball in the rucks, the defensive line at the ruck , backline attacking set play and set play from inside the 22 on kick returns.but i think sth africa at home (at altitude?) will win both games.but as long as we show improvements in those areas regardless of wether we win or lose then its a success on ian fosters part and if we win 1 thats a bonus.right now my worst fear would be sth africa not taking the tests seriously and not giving away to much coming up to the worldcup and we win both games convincingly on pure individual talent because we would learn nothing come worldcup.i think sth africa are in a better place right now and have less to lose if they lose the series cause the best we can hope for i guess is a split series.right now the nz public will just have to accept ian foster is going no where and focus on what we need to do to improve.myself i dont think he has the answers but i will forceably have to have faith in him even though i have none.i have sth africa winning 2 with hopeful noticeable improvements after the 2 assistants brought in.
@@ianboggssister6636 I honestly don't think you have to worry about the Boks not taking it seriously, it is nearly impossible for us not to take the All Blacks seriously. It's like running out into the rain and worrying you won't get wet lol. Also, I think too much is being made of the altitude. It's not Ellis Park they are playing at, the stadium they are playing at is a full 1000m lower in altitude than Ellis Park, I'm sure the All Blacks will do fine. But yeah, I hope it will two hard fought games too, I just pray it won't be a game where either side point to the ref as the reason for the result, I hate those.
Irish fan here, for the last 20 years northern hemisphere teams were obsessed with beating the all blacks especially here in Ireland. It was a rod used to beat us with like the quarter final curse! I guess what I’m saying is it’s hard to stay on top for so long when everyone is obsessed with beating you. The ABs will be back
@@snoopythedog3266 Spot on. Ireland is not remarkably good. It's just the All Blacks are rubbish at the moment. and rubbish not because of lack of players, but because of coaches and admin.
Ian Foster..mark Robinson and Cane tour farewell !!! Total clean-out in the NZRU and the board. Scott robertson now definitively the coach after the tour disaster in SA.
Suddenly you start losing and then it's blame the coach hahaha. What happened to be loyal to your team through good times and bad. The fact you have already predicted a loss shows you can't handle the bad times and losing. Salty?
@@elscruffomcscruffy8371 Loyalty to a team doesn't equate to acceptance of its mediocre or failing leadership. In fact if you care about the team you'll want the best in charge of it. Not too bright, are you?
One has to be fair - irrespective, ALL teams go thru their cyclical ups and downs, so lets give the AB`s a break. Also great to see the Northern Hemisphere teams playing awesome rugby, the RWC 2023 will be a fantastic event, cant wait - from a Springbok super-supporter.
This is a good point - it does grate a bit that the pundits speak as if they've never lost a game before! Ups and downs are simply a part of the sport!
As a Bok 🇿🇦 I don’t think we should write off our greatest rival just because of how they lost to Ireland. In fact this down play is actually going to make them even more aggressive. Respect for AB 🇳🇿
Love the spectacle of the Springboks vs the All Blacks. Some of the best ever games in the history of the sport stem from this which is surely the biggest rivalry in world rugby! As a SAFFA I respect the All Blacks so much and always go into a game with trepidation. One of our best-ever achievements was beating the All Blacks in 3 back to back games in 2009 after successful lions tour which established that Springbok team as probably the best ever in the green and gold. So hyped for Saturday...hoping that the boks can make it 2-0, but winning back to back against the AB's is a tough ask even in 2022 where they look more like 2009 All Blacks than the 2011-2015 team.
Came back here after the game ended .Man I'm scared of Monday what the press will be saying about the AB . Next week you guys are heading to Ellis Park where the greats such a Lomu and James Small played 26 years ago .gonna be a epic game especially the you bloods .From a boks fan good luck on Monday AB
The "Head to Head" graph shown there is not entirely accurate. Yes, Ireland is miles better than Wales, but the Boks played a full on B/C team in the second test.
On almost a daily basis, we South Africans are on here crying about our favourite player in our favourite team not being selected for the Boks. So when the coach actually selects all those players on form, adds them to 10 World Cup winning players, I think we need to lose the attitude that this was our B team. He did what we asked him to and we are not disrespecting the in form players who were selected. Unless of course you want us to ruck, kick, chase, repeat for the next 20 years....
The Boks Bomb squad will per usual scrum for penalties buts its their lineout that bothers me if we play Savea at 8 - it will limit us in terms of options and the Bok lineout will assert and control AB lineout possession! Once the Boks are within the AB 22 you can guarantee that the Boks will roll mauls!
If the All Blacks can’t beat the Boks, the way the Boks are currently performing then they there should be a real concern . The Boks were hardly convincing against Wales.
I’m sorry mate. I hear this every year and on a whole Boks deliver. People think running rugby is the only way to win. There many ways to win and the Boks have their way. It is raw, it is tough, but mostly it works
Only the last game against Wales had the best side. The first 2 games were experimental sides. Besides remember the last RWC where SA just managed to beat Wales in the Semi and then went on to destroy the much fancied England side 32-12 in the final?
NZ mostly struggles against Ireland and SA against Wales it's always a grind to play them switch the teams and NZ doesn't struggle against Wales and SA doesn't against wireland. So this weekend will be a good match between two sides which love to play each other and will do their outmost to win.
Boks hardly played before the 1st test. 2nd test. 14 changes. 3rd test. The real deal and boks should have put 40+ Wales easy I don't see nz having the depth and intensity to keep up.
@@natecoet3291 Since 2000, South Africa have played Ireland 16 times , its honours even. SA have played Wales 28 times in the same period winning 21 times, pretty clear who SA struggle more against. Ireland are far ahead of Wales at the moment, so Ireland v South Africa 2022 will be a cracker!
Proudly South African here and I think I speak for ALL South Africans here when I say WE LOVE THE ALL BLACKS we also have MASSIVE respect for them. We've been where they are now, its not a good place to be BUT if we smash them in Saturday we give them a massive chance to win the world cup because their coaching team WILL be changed.
Huge respect for the All Blacks from a Springbok supporter, it’s going to be a tough one! I’m worried about England and Australia, though, they are on top form and they’re going to give us a hiding if we become comfortable…
If I was Scott Robertson, I would not take the NZ job. Hence, he wants to coach a rival nation. It is actually an insult towards him because NZ would want him to create this miracle by expecting him to bring this NZ team together in just one year from the RWC? For the past 8-7 years Scott Robertson has been wining SR title after title yet they never thought of putting him in the NZ staff as an consultant at least? No because you keep the tradition of giving head coach roles to the assistants. Graham Henry to Hansen, Hansen to Forster. SA had politics involved in 2016-2017 when the radical was really needed, In this case it is just NZ pride causing their downfall.
Exactly! And what if he struggles to find immediate wins? Sure he'd be given some breaking room and fans would accept a few losses, but that's the point: fans and the players simply cannot accept or understand losing? So what happens then? Do people continue blaming the coach? The onus is on the players as well.
I know the All Blacks wil bring it - I remember when South Africa had a bad spell - 57-0 we lost to New Zealand! That was a bery dark day for South African Rugby. I have full confidence the All Blacks will bring the fire! As a South African and a rugby supporter. I want nothing more than to face the All Blacks at their full potential and I'm sure they want the same for us. The Rivalry is very much alive. GO BOKKE!!
It's scary as a Saffa to hear that pundits are this nervous and fans have basically fully turned against Fozzy. More so to know that people are writing off the ABs against SA. last year with the RUGBY CHAMPIONSHIP down under after the Aussies took out the Boks twice in consecutive games, most people said no way ABs can lose to them. And we gave them a match worthy of a 100 tests and managed to win the last test. So don't be so tough on them. Give them support.
As a bok supporter to all the AB fans keep your heads up and stick with your boys in black they playd their heart out. It is a great reset for them when the Phoenix rise from the ashes it will be stronger than ever. All teams goes through this at some point they are only human so give them some slack good luck in jhb go Bokke!
Gotta give it up for Mills. Saw him having breakfast at the airport, and even though he looked like he just wanted to sit down and enjoy his family time, he accepted all photo requests that werr asked of him. God Bless you Brother.
The self-flagellation in New Zealand has been over the top. A bit of a decline was inevitable, as top ten teams have been working very hard to build their programs. The gap has been narrowing for years. Give the opposition a bit of credit. The All Blacks could not stay invincible forever. But there is nothing more dangerous than a wounded, angry animal looking for a victim. The Boks better bring their best game. It will be a classic match.
@@dimetilldeath, who says they have “lowered their standards?” The has-been pundits? They’ve come up against better prepared opposition who haven’t meekly bought into the AB mystique. That’s the big difference. Other national teams have invested in player development using the AB “small country” model, and it is working. Look at the rise of countries like Chile and Georgia, who believe in themselves. World Rugby moving toward actual parity in the top ten is a good thing. It will make these international contests more interesting.
That's a odd attitude ABS have lost quite a bit and Ireland have them at 5 out of 8 and you guys were EXTREMELY close against France in last WC for a play off for 4th, wouldn't of ever rated you invincible? Your now vulnerable like all of us in the the top 8
So the NZ rugby press respond to the Springbok loss with “festering with pus and infection.” If that isn’t an hysterical, over-the-top comment, nothing is. It’s odd how the NZ “experts” crow when they beat a second or third tier team by 70 points, but can’t handle a few losses. The Boks pounced on every AB error. That’s what good teams do, and that’s what NZ was famous for. Now they know how it feels. If I was a bigwig at NZ Rugby, I’d be more worried about empty stadiums at the club level.
Why is NZ worried?! Your record in SA of late is better than against the Boks in NZ. Us Saffas know the ABs will come with their best and aren't taking you lightly.
As a NZer, I'm loving it as well! Honestly as much as we love the All Blacks, myself (and quite a lot of people I know) were hoping the playing field would become more levelled, especially after the 2011-2016ish era where the team were heavy favourites for almost all matches. Yes, you will see hysteria from some but for many this adds so much more excitement to every test. The World Cup next year is setting up to be a cracker and for the first time in years (decades?) I'm genuinely nervous/excited for the Bledisloe Cup - which was the rivalry that got me into rugby union in the first place back around 1999. I also genuinely believe the All Blacks will bounce back and aren't in such a dire situation as is being made out. All in all, Union is in a great place IMO.
The only reason this peeves me is that - a) history repeating itself again b) how dumb we have become at playing rugby! The writing has been on the wall since 2016 yet we are still doing the same thing - how dumb are we! Its called .... arrogance!
@@thefobbie0034 I understand what you mean and it definitely has been frustrating to see them play some dumb rugby at times, however I think this is compounded by the fact that we lost a lot of experienced players after 2016, and the fact that the world has caught up in terms of skill. A silver lining is that the ABs usually go in as favourites to win most World Cups, however this won't be the case in 2023. Apart from 2015, being favourites has heaped a huge amount of pressure on the team to perform, going so far that for a long time they were known as chokers on the world stage. I've always wanted them to go in as underdogs, but it has rarely been the case (has it ever? Not in my time anyway). I believe this is a good thing.
@@joshhallnz not to mention that All Blacks have felt quite smug and entitled to automatic wins. Too much reliance on broken play and individual flair. I'm loving the panic rippling through NZ. They cannot handle losing
The rugby nations laughed at the BOKS in 2017,2018 and just before the 2019 WC the nation's had no good words for us, but in Covid came. Boks did not play the whole 2019 half of 2021 and only now we are playing. So, bring it AB bring it. No Haka will save you on this tour..if see the faces on the field of the players before the game ask Eddie Jones before the final how the boys faces looked like.

We will receive the All Blacks 🇳🇿 with pride and respect. Never doubt the AB team, when their players don their AB uniforms their stature is magnified. I pray for a Springbok victory 🇿🇦but more important is that every player is protected from injury and that the Game of Rugby is victorious 🏆
We had to see the death of the springboks in order for our resurrection before the WC. Perhaps All Blacks is on that very same cliff. BRUTAL 2 games ahead, can't WAIT.
Well I still remember rugby from 20yrs ago and have been waiting for the AB magic 20yr run come to an end. I’m hoping for rugbys sake this is the start of things going back to 90’’s and early 2000’s rugby, where you never know who will win when the AB’s play, rather than a forgone conclusion. Let the games begin! I think the press is making too big a deal on this - the AB dominance of rugby over the last 20yrs has been unprecedented in ANY sport. It’s time for the baton to be passed on. 🏉
United we stand up and WIN !!DEFENCE IS THE KEY IN TEST ,TIGHT AS MATCHES ! .Long range penalties and easy drop kicks WIN TESTS .GO THE NEWZEALAND ALL BLACKS.
Springboks path to the final has been too hard, its a big ask...im already proud of them!!!! They have nothing more to prove to me....thank you boks for a nerve wrecking exciting world cup 😂
From a South African BOK supporter herewith a warm hearty welcome to the All Blacks. Contests between us always has been, and always will be the REAL McCOY. I literally cannot wait.
This is what set aside the New Zealanders from the rest of the world. True to yourselves downright honest. No excuses, just not good enough at the moment. Big words. They will pick themselves up again. Just not against the Springboks PLEASE!
Got crushed by France in the last game, first loss ever to Argentina, first loss to Ireland in home soil ever, first loss in a home 3-game series in 25 years, lost 4 out of the last 5 test matches. How many more signs and how much more time does NZL need before realizing its time for the coach to go?
Losing the Bledisloe Cup after holding it for 19yrs?? That would suit Dave Rennies Wallabies. SA have to be the favorites. But if SA score a try under 5 mins!....Foster is gone!!!!!! NZ.
Having been living away from NZ for 1/2 my life now, i'm still a proud AB supporter and hate to see them lose. Having said that, there is some reality to absorb for many nzers including myself that have turned our incredible AB history into a requirement. Not fair. Knock yourself out but go easy on the players eh? Aren't we ment to be all about mental health? We've been watching the rest of the rugby world deal with losing more times than not to us and they have all done ok. As for us, well, lets just say its not pretty. Don't be little crybaby bitches. Deal with it and look to the future. Having said that, Fozzie it might be time to pass the ball aye Bro? You're a good assist. coach but head coach not so much . You seem like a real nice guy and i'd hate to see arrogance take you down. Stepping down would be a major win for you. Everyone will love you more for it. Do it. Be a legend!!
If the AB culture didn’t place such a high importance on winning, we wouldn’t have such a winning culture. F the mental health aspect, no one’s forcing these players to play for the ABs. Either play to get the win or deal with the criticism when the winningest team in sport history loses
Well said Sir. I watched Kings College play Grammer 8 years ago and there were 9 Fijians playing across both sides - all at both schools on academic scholarships. Good game but it makes you think.
Yep, after a century of just NZ and Australia keeping the game alive are over. The rest of the world has caught up and I'd doubt those two will ever threaten to win another world cup, have to remember Uruguay won the first world cups in soccer and where are they now.
@@russe19642 very interesting. Do you honestly think that’s true?? Especially with the population size of both countries compared to SA & European countries with more selection pool you could be right … but I still feel Aus & NZ have the advantage of being able to pick from the Pacific Island nations who have always had amazing players … what’s your thoughts
As a South African, been there, done that, got the t-shirt!. NZ will be back stronger than ever and the game coming up against us is going to be huge! :)
I would say the boks pack is well settled and will completely dominate the abs upfront. They did last year when nz had a half decent pack this year the only good thing about the nz forward pack is the new forwards coach
will be interesting to see if there is any noticeable change in ABS forward play= improved set piece, more cohesion, better maul defense, genuine forward drive in thier play.
Our Boks are really confident and they deserve to be ....I do not see the well respected All B stand a chance.....as a true rugby supporter I am worried and confused because the A B definitely do not play the way they used to.They are not nearly aggressive enough, it almost looks as if there no urgency, they not hungry to win.....they dont look like a real close team .....theres no warrior attitude and real brotherhood.....talent is there but psychology they far behind
The All Blacks have been absent for a while and it hasn’t been addressed. Poor handling, stagnant planning, arrogance, inconsistent, laziness, sloppy behaviour, no passion, no commitment, playing for their country less important than money and their media profile.
That's because we are trying to play an expansive game within our half under scoreboard pressure! We have been doing the same crap since 2016 on attack when Foster was the attack coach! This is test rugby NOT Super Rugby and Foster is the head coach! Of course its his fault - he is the common denominator!
No matter which way you cut it this is a weak AB team there are too many key players out injured or suspended. If the boks play at the level they are capable with basically all their best players available they should really win both these games.
There is no other team I like to see playing the Springboks. We might not love each other but we all need a respected enemy. Its always been the All Black's vs Springboks. It's bloody world class clashes. Get your game up ya Kiwi bastards... Give your balls a tug. Without you fellows there is no challenge. Looking forward to playing against some class again.
Why are we asking these questions a Year out from the World Cup? It's like swatting the Night before School C Exams...P.S,you can't compare Sam Cane to Richie McCaw...Is Steve Hansen saying Sam Cane will lift the World Cup next Year?HIGHLY Unlikely.
Boks’ fan. I can see parallels between the Boks in 2018, and the ABs in 2022. At their historical low, criticized from all sides, soiled on. Wouldn’t be surprised at all to see their resurgence and see them win the RWC next year. Head says ABs by 10+ on Saturday, heart says Boks by 2.
Exactly. They're in the same shit state the Boks were in 2018. They won the RC and then the RWC the next year. AB resurgence could be on the table here
ABs have a lot to prove and are under immense pressure....they are going to come out firing on all cylinders... Going to be a hell of a game..and regardless of who wins this week it sets up an even bigger battle at Ellis Park the following weekend... This is what Rugby fans live for.... GO BOKKE!!!
Bok fan here.. We never run away with our games and no matter how impressive our physical aspect may be, when the margins are small at the end of the game(they will be), the ABs just need to stay calm, keep ball in hand, score a try, convert and win(hope not). Thats why we struggle against Aus, their athleticism gets us and they find gaps in our defense.. Boks are very slight favourites, less than the media would like to think. 1--1.
Boks were shocking last year against Wallabies. What a humiliation for world champions. Never been so embarrassed in my life. 2 Aussies big brutes came out a gym and pushed my daughter out if the wayn
Boks were also in a bubble longer than any team besides Argentina. Last year wasn't a normal year. Boks were away from their family for most of the year. ABs complained just from being away for the RC and NH tour. Boks were away for domestic comp aswell as RC and NH tour. Need to take that into account.
Personally I think there's nothing between the two sides. I think what happened in the Rugby Championship last year is where we are now because I don't think either of us has improved from the 1-1 result from last year. I don't think Ireland have been given enough credit for how good they are currently and I don't think the Springboks would have been any more successful against Ireland than the All Black's were.
Boks have definitely improved from last year, they were great in the 3rd test. Ireland really weren't special. NZ organisation on defense was terrible and don't play physical direct rugby the way they always used to
The All Black's will bounce back in South Africa. They are a good bunch of lads .As an Irishman and seeing how New Zealanders took Ireland's win on the chin I'll be wishing them a solid winning performance. Less pressure away and they will have a cut . Looks like a great game .
I don't get all the drama, new players new staff of course they are going to need a few games to settle. Some teams are peeking again a year to early, As a Boks supporter we never count out any NZ team they can trash you with 13 players. The upcoming series will only do both teams good.
SA played ireland last in 2017 and they lost 38-3 SA played 13 tests last year and lost 5 nz played 17 and lost 3, ireland are just better right now, does anyone actually expect nz to dominate for 120 years and not have some teams have patches of success?
2017 totally irrelevant results. Boks hadn't changed their 30 test overseas player rule. From 2018 they were able to start picking their strongest team. Your NZ stats last year also irrelevant now as so many of those games were againt tier 2 rugby nations. Boks had to take on the Irish and british lions, a team that would easily beat the All Blacks now.
I hope Beauden Barrett plays at 10, not 15 - he's almost certainly the best 10 in the world, and the ABs lose a little something special when he's at full back.
Don't think either of Beauden or Mu'onga are currently in the best 5 flyhalves in the world. I can name a few that are currently better. Sexton, Ntamack, Pollard, Biggar, Smith, Farrel, Cooper even Russell. They are both individually probably up there with the most dangerous running games in the world, but they struggle tactically especially with tactical kicking and on defending the 10-channel. They feed off of broken play, but current test rugby gives you less of those opportunities.
@@2011hwalker Brother don’t take this man seriously 🤣🤣 They lost 2 times back to back at home against Ireland and they think they will have a confident win against the boks in SA? 💀
Im Irish btw, and I only wrote that original comment because I used to find it ridiculous when SA and NZ fans would write off any chance of Ireland winning against them, because their records going back 100 years are shite 🤭
Wales/Ireland fan here NewZealand have the players but they don't look like their playing as a team and to be honest don't look like they've developed a game plan over the last few years in the same way Ireland or France have. The same applies to SA they play rhe same game year in year out you know what's coming but what can you do about it. Keep the ball alive moving and away from the set piece, all the things NZ have traditionally been masters of. I'm really looking forward to these games. I'm going for a drawn series but NZ to rediscover their confidence again.
World rugby has taken an interesting turn it. The northern hemispheres morale is high and they feel they’re better than is in the Southern Hemisphere.. It would be a good game to watch. Always have respect for our rivals S.A
Let's be honest. Both teams working towards World Cup. I'd say the Boks want to blood some more experience. Run a few new moves. But keep it tight. Do the basics well and defend. The ABs, well they have the added pressure of needing to win. Might force their hand into playing more footy than they will like. But as long as it's survival footy for coach and captain, not such a great situation to be in. Excited to see if the Boks try some new stuff, and of course the matchups up front and in the backs. Gonna be yuuuuuuge.
Never ever in my time as I where growing up and too my knowledge did I ever see a All Black team planing these tipe of rugby something internally is wrong, much respect to them from south africa 🇿🇦
Relax ! We all know (All Blacks and Springbok supporters alike) that it all depends on the fee … will it be an enjoyable game and who does the ref want to win the match ??? It is sad. But that is the pathetic reality. 😏
Frustrating to watch these picks each time the ABs play. Savea is an openside and is the best 7 in NZ. Play a number 8 at number 8(Grace,Sotutu). Mo'unga @ 10 and Will Jordan at 15. Ian refuses to do this, continues to ride the Barrett train and has lost 4 of the last 5 tests. I predict they will lose the next two and finish at losing 6 of 7. Foster just will not accept that he may have been wrong. Cane on the bench, he isn't good enough to be in the first XV. Will
If I, as a South African and a Massive Bok supporter, may throw in my 2cents worth...? An injured AB team, is not something to mess with. No matter who's coach or captain. The incredible amount of natural talent, that NZ's got, the induvidual brilliance of each and every player, this first test should be a breeze, for NZ. SA have never performed well in Nelspruit, Mbombela, if you prefer...? Don't stress, guys, I only shout against the AB, when they play the Boks. And everytime, home or away, 2 weeks before the tests, my nerves start knawing. Ow wow, the respect and physicallity between the two teams...!!! My heart sais Boks by 3, my brain say AB by 12, on 06/08/2022. ALL BKACKS and France in RWC Final. Repeat, don't stress. AB's will peak now. Ireland peaked at the wrong time. Love you guys, as long as you don't win the Boks!!!🤩😍🥰💯💥💪💪💪
The Bokke and Kiwi are the 2 best nations when it comes to rugby, yall don't appreciate this fact enough. All these northern teams are just peaking early, yall are not ready for what the Kiwis have in store for next year's world cup, it's gonna be between these 2 nations and honestly. I'll be happy if it goes either way.
Or maybe you can just recognise and acknowledge the great strides the northern hemisphere has taken over the last 4 years. I also don’t agree that the bokkes and kiwis are not appreciated, every other nation recognises the the greatness of the two, and beating them is a massive deal. I don’t doubt that the kiwis and bokkes will perform incredibly next year, however to disregard teams like France and Ireland is incredibly ignorant.
I disagree I think England, South Africa, France, Ireland and New Zealand stand an equal chance to win the next World Cup. Remember England was the favourites in the last RWC final and yet no one is talking about them.
SA Bok supporter. One thing I know is the ABs can be unpredictable. Especially against the Boks. They give us a hard time. It will be an amazing game but yea I would never ever write off the ABs. Then again, not the Boks either....we shall see. Living in Ireland now btw😊so they're my 2nd team to root for. Was a good win for them!
As much as I hate Foster being in charge still, it’s impossible to not get excited abouts ABs vs Boks. Speed vs power, magical skill vs violent brute force. How good 🔥🔥🔥
Well they were correct in being nervous,we completely dominated the all blacks. We could have won with a higher score but we failed to convert. I have never seem all blacks make so many mistakes and so dominated. We shall see what next week will bring.
Abs should just go for broke and adopt a true 6-2 bench split they have the perfect squad for it. Arguably the most versatile backline in the world. Give Beauden Barrett the 23 jersey and then put your front row with Vaii, Frizell, and Papalii or any other backrows. They have too many to choose from so play them all. They have the utility in the backline, Havili, Ioane, Goodhue, Barrett, Jordan, McKenzie can all play anywhere and give Mounga 50 mins a game on the dot, then let BB on or if someone goes down BB can go on to cover.
I stand to be corrected but the super rugby had some positive in ensuring that Neazeland, Australia and South Africa are competitive in the global stage as Southern Atmosphere teams, the next world is going to be difficult for all the Southern Hemisphere teams.
I'm more worried about injury to great rugby players through reckless tackles . Until there are significant bans then we are in danger of ruining a beautiful game
Bok supporter here. Firstly, NEVER write off the ABs. They're the Boks' biggest rival and it's always a hard game. Huge respect to the ABs and no doubt they will bring their A game. May the best team win! Go the mighty Boks!
We lose we get Scott Robertson we win WC23. We win we keep Ian Foster we are finished with everything. Boks decide.
Lol how can anyone at any point in history say “the ABs won’t win the WC”
Calm down buddy
Well it seems like Robertson would rather join a rival nation than to coach the abs. He said it himself. Regardless if he comes, it doesn't guarantee you winning he RWC or improving the team. Club rugby is very very different to club rugby. I never even said that nz won't win the RWC, so by all means you should calm down buddy and be careful what you wish for...it might turn out to become worse.
*to international rugby
The All Blacks are not outstanding. We’ve got progressively worse for the last six years. From a New Zealander.
The only thing outstanding will be the All Blacks left out standing on the field wondering where they can hide
Progressive is right, this the left wing wokeness of this Arden moari lead govt who as a racist policy desguise as inclueviness and equal representation and wants more players of color and so picking more black players who aren't nessacarry the right player for the position causing a decrement in the output of the outcome in other words it doesn't work
So happy to see the guys truly being excited to come to SA, again. It's going to be 2 insanely hard games. Can't wait.
We will all blacks smash s.a foO0ls
As the South African I feel it's the best rivalry ever
Makes a refreshing thought that Rugby might be more balanced and even for all teams...gets pretty bland when one dominates all the time...
Not sure why the Kiwis are stressing out, the Kiwis always step up their game when playing the Bokke… it’s just insane to think they won’t do the same this time is a laugh. These games will be so intense
Because they are not at their best at the moment.
Nah feels different this time. The abs aura has gone
@@MrSiciro heads up lads. Neither are the Boks, this will be super close and can go either way.
because we have this delusional running game that we believe will bust any defense wide apart! Well since 2017 our so called running game has been exposed with the rush-umbrella defence and has become predictable! Guess what type of defense the Boks use against the All Blacks!
I think after losing 2 times back to back against Ireland at home.. you should be stressing playing the boks in SA ..
@@ianboggssister6636 Havent we seen that against Ireland? How did it go???? AB forwards have gone soft.
The ABs will be back
Maybe but better Ireland sides than this one failed, but Foster will continue to sink this team and AB reputations
@@snoopythedog3266 Spot on. Ireland is not remarkably good. It's just the All Blacks are rubbish at the moment. and rubbish not because of lack of players, but because of coaches and admin.

To be fair, AB's have had more ups than downs. They aren't used to being down.
Unfortunately the Boks forwards will steam roll our ABs once again.
Our forwards have gone away with the basics and want to play like fancy backs.
@@thefobbie0034 brilliant analysis
@@thefobbie0034 fantastic analysis and proved incredibly accurate
2nd test. 14 changes.
3rd test. The real deal and boks should have put 40+ Wales easy
I don't see nz having the depth and intensity to keep up.
Not worried about Ireland ????
We smashed Irish teams in URC, our pack will milk penalties easy against them
Wow this series is going to be exciting and nerve wrecking for both our teams.
Its not over the top when you consider the success they have had. You dont gain anything by lowering your
standards
@@dimetilldeath, who says they have “lowered their standards?” The has-been pundits? They’ve come up against better prepared opposition who haven’t meekly bought into the AB mystique. That’s the big difference. Other national teams have invested in player development using the AB “small country” model, and it is working. Look at the rise of countries like Chile and Georgia, who believe in themselves. World Rugby moving toward actual parity in the top ten is a good thing. It will make these international contests more interesting.
@@dimetilldeath that’s not respecting the Irish and French teams and the performances they have produced.

I love New Zealand I really do but the difference between the Boks & them is that the AB’s plays the the badge but we play for our country.
Why is NZ worried?! Your record in SA of late is better than against the Boks in NZ. Us Saffas know the ABs will come with their best and aren't taking you lightly.
Because they looked dire against Ireland at home.
Love to see NZ squirming and worrying like this, finally they know what the entire world feels every year it’s nice
The only reason this peeves me is that -
a) history repeating itself again
b) how dumb we have become at playing rugby!

How many more signs and how much more time does NZL need before realizing its time for the coach to go?
Best comment on here.
Losing the Bledisloe Cup after holding it for 19yrs??
That would suit Dave Rennies Wallabies.
SA have to be the favorites.
But if SA score a try under 5 mins!....Foster is gone!!!!!!
NZ.
I mean 5mins from the kick off...the start of the game.
@@archertal0762 Let me update my own comment. And worst loss to SA in 94 years.
@@maoristreetevangelist Updating my comment. + And worst loss to SA in 94 years.
Same here bro
I've been away from
Aotearoa i STILL call
home and the All Blacks
Is Still my team
I don’t think the kiwis should worry too much. All Blacks and Boks are a different tour. AB to win first game and Boks the second.
If they were so good how cum they lost so much last year ?
will be interesting to see if there is any noticeable change in ABS forward play= improved set piece, more cohesion, better maul defense, genuine forward drive in thier play.
In my mind, the Springboks are always the underdogs against the All Blacks. The Wallabies are a team I always expect to beat, but not the All Blacks.
The All Blacks will always be our second favourite side behind our boys.
Siya for president 2024!
THE ONLY TWO TEAMS I LOVE WATCHING PLAY, S.A. ARE ON A ROLL👏👏👏👏💯💯💯💯N.Z. WE HAVE A STEEP HILL TO CLIMB.
Don't just blame Foster, he cannot be blamed for dropping the ball.
Haha 😄
There is no other team I like to see playing the Springboks. We might not love each other but we all need a respected enemy. Its always been the All Black's vs Springboks. It's bloody world class clashes. Get your game up ya Kiwi bastards... Give your balls a tug. Without you fellows there is no challenge. Looking forward to playing against some class again.
The biggest problem for nz is that rassie has opened a new can of worms you buying the results is over thank you Rassie
Just a correction, the first game is played at sea level aka The Lowveld
None of this matters it’s still Boks v AB’s and that’s all that matters 🔥 Everyone’s favourite rugby match hands down 🔥 🇿🇦 🇳🇿
Why are we asking these questions a Year out from the World Cup? It's like swatting the Night before School C Exams...P.S,you can't compare Sam Cane to Richie McCaw...Is Steve Hansen saying Sam Cane will lift the World Cup next Year?HIGHLY Unlikely.
That was his logic that if it is true in part then it must be true in whole - a fallacy!
GO BOKKE!!!
This is what happens when u decide to exclude the most physical team in rugby history and prefer to play with gay islanders
Boks record in Australia is poor mate, when they gonna come play in SA again? Last time they got hurt by a second string team
Boks were also in a bubble longer than any team besides Argentina. Last year wasn't a normal year. Boks were away from their family for most of the year. ABs complained just from being away for the RC and NH tour. Boks were away for domestic comp aswell as RC and NH tour. Need to take that into account.
As a bok fan we shouldn't ride off the AB this is always rivalry when this two teams play each other
Just an FYI Mbombela is only 680m above sea level, comapred to Joburg at 1753m. So not nearly as tough.
The first test in Nelspruit/Mbombela is not at altitude. It is in the South African lowveld, veld might not be understood but low should be.
ABs got to keep it in the backline, this could be a very high scoring game, our forwards won't hold up to the boks pack all game.
NZ organisation on defense was terrible and don't play physical direct rugby the way they always used to
@@nicholasvanlierde2546 So if Ireland weren't special, you must be expecting SA at home to hammer NZ then?
@@PB22559 NZ may well improve their set piece a lot. If we play with ball in hand and NZ don't improve their defence, we would win comfortably yes
Great analysis here guys!
Was it the Irish writer W.B. Yeats that said 'All changed, changed utterly'?!
I hope Beauden Barrett plays at 10, not 15 - he's almost certainly the best 10 in the world, and the ABs lose a little something special when he's at full back.
Best 10 in the world. Do me a favour.
Ireland beat the boks 38-3 last time we played them, you've got this NZ
that was before the last world cup, its hardly the same team. I still expect NZ is to a win against SA
LOL that was in 2017 when SA were terrible. A game five years ago has no bearing whatsoever on 2022. SA would beat Ireland imo.
@@2011hwalker Brother don’t take this man seriously 🤣🤣 They lost 2 times back to back at home against Ireland and they think they will have a confident win against the boks in SA? 💀
Italy also beat the Boks that year. Everyone did.
Yep, the Boks always play the same game,....brilliant forwards destroy the opposition and fabulous wings score their tries, so boring!😂
Back to back Tests at altitude ? Correction needed . Mbombela is on the Lowveldt . Not a high altitude stadium .
😏
You are so right Dane. We do so at our peril ! 🙈
As a SAFFA... We do not underestimate NZ... RESPECT and let's watch a hel of a match
Im back here after ABs lost 26-10...it should of been 26-0 with they way the ABs played...just unbelievably hopeless
26-10*
Frustrating to watch these picks each time the ABs play. Savea is an openside and is the best 7 in NZ. Play a number 8 at number 8(Grace,Sotutu). Mo'unga @ 10 and Will Jordan at 15. Ian refuses to do this, continues to ride the Barrett train and has lost 4 of the last 5 tests. I predict they will lose the next two and finish at losing 6 of 7. Foster just will not accept that he may have been wrong. Cane on the bench, he isn't good enough to be in the first XV. Will
You nailed it! One thing - Savea is the best 7 in the world!
@@thefobbie0034 Josh Van der Flier says otherwise
Anyway you are wrong because Bok by 16
The Bokke and Kiwi are the 2 best nations when it comes to rugby, yall don't appreciate this fact enough.
@@Thomas-qr6cu fair point🤝🏽
I disagree I think England, South Africa, France, Ireland and New Zealand stand an equal chance to win the next World Cup. Remember England was the favourites in the last RWC final and yet no one is talking about them.
@@Spanky9605 we'll just see what happens next year.
@@Thomas-qr6cu well, what do you have to say now?
First game is not at altitude, Nelspruit is in the lowveld
Pretty pissed.off with goldie objecting to Robertson expressing his ambitions. If we lose him to England it will be a tragedy
to keep this guy awake thank goodness for rassie
