These video are a treasure. The sense of connection with the past, the evidence of profound gratitude for that past and the artful quality of the production is a rare piece of quality for UA-cam. I regretted when the first series was ended and assumed it would never again be continued--for whatever quite believable reason. It was a moment of real pleasure when I suddenly realized there were to be more of the same kind. Please accept my thanks.
I have such wonderful memories of spending summers on Grandma's farm. My Grandpa died when I was just over 1 year old, I don't remember him but going out in the big old barn I came to know him a bit better through his tools and a day to day little handmade flip journal. I learned so much from my Aunt who also lived there with Grandma and my love for living in the country is still in me and I still do live in the country at 70 yrs. old. When you speak of things that give you such good memories, I do the same even though the house and barn and hen house all were destroyed in the blizzard of 78' every inch of that farm is still clear in my memory and the times in the kitchen baking or cooking with my Grandma and Aunt and watching their hands fly making pies, breads, etc. I'm so thankful for your videos, really takes me back to a special time and place.
My wife (OzarkCottontop) and I eagerly await every episode of your show, Pa Mac. Thanks for giving us a laugh, a smile and a few more memories to make with our grandkids too. God bless!
Hey An American Homestead folks! So great to hear from yall, and hope all is well up there. Keep up the great work and videos. I really appreciate your "outlaw" video. Keeping others informed is a first step to makin' our nation what we the people want and need it to be!
Love of family, love of up-bringing, love of an old homeplace...not a homestead, love of traditions like breakfast, dinner(not lunch) and supper!! Great video again on best youtube channel out there! Looking forward to the next one!
Yes! More videos please! I love the music, the material, the life lessons, the simplicity, the old school way of building, and on and on. You put a lot of time and effort into each video and I appreciate that. But smaller videos of smaller projects are just as interesting to me too. May God bless you and your family!
Whoop Whoop!!! A new FHC video!!! YAY!!! I absolutely love love love your video's. This latest one takes me back to my own childhood when summer visits to my Great Grandmother's homeplace in Dandridge TN. playing under the big old apple tree and gathering up the fallen to take as a treat to the cows....and playing in the chicken coop, eating cherries right off the tree till I thought I'd bust. Old folks are long gone now but the chicken coop still stands. I'm in the process of building my own...like you...hoping in the future my nieces will have fond memories. Thanks so much for sharing. I really enjoy and appreciate it!! Keep 'em coming :)
I'm just thrilled that you posted a new video... love your channel, love your videos, hoping that a network throws lots of money at you so you can fund everlasting content. Cheers!
Wonderful music, excellent video production, thoughtful storyline, awesome composition, I mean, come on!! I haven't even touched on the homestead mastery. Thank you Pa Mac, you inspire me.
I came across the reflection video a few hours ago and have been watching your videos nonstop. I am a new subscriber. Your work is great. Looking forward to learning more!! Thank you sir!
Today i tok a walk with my dog around the Winehills in Stuttgart and thougt "Wonder when he will upload a new video" came home and Tadaaa, there it is. Thanks! Love them all.
I watched your video on how to build a pole barn. Then I ran across this video and decided to subscribe. You're definitely speaking my language I was blown away by your grandparents home and the memories. I too am a child of the early 70s we already decided that we want chickens this spring. We ain't got much money but we have some land some trees and a chainsaw Mill. And now I have the inspiration thanks to you. Can't wait to go through the rest of your videos
AWESOME!! A new Farm Hands Companion video!!! Always well worth the wait. ;D Your memories part reminds me so much of my earliest memories, except for the chickens. They came later in life for me. ;)
Hey, I Love your videos and how professional they are. Television quality for sure. Thanks for showing and passing down this information and way of life. I am really starting to appreciate my grandfather and making something with hard work. I also appreciate the more variety in music in later episodes. Cheers!
I love these videos. Very inspiring. I've been saving up for a year since I first started watching your videos. Another year to go and I'm buying my own modest 2 acres in upstate NY. Finally getting out of the city! Keep these awesome videos coming.
Oh how I enjoyed this video!!!! Can't wait to see the finished chicken house! I sure do enjoy all of your videos....I'm sure your "future grandkids" will have wonderful memories :-)
New subscriber here. I can't recall how I stumbled across your videos but I am grateful I did. You have a unique style that keeps me engaged. I love how you explain what's going on with the graphics. You make me believe that I too one day can do this. I plan on leaving the suburban life (Silicon Valley, Bay Area, California) for a more rural life in Idaho (cheaper property). I am a Country boy transplant that yearns for a more peaceful life style, Back in the country. Thank you for taking the time out to share your videos. You are very talented, creative and funny. I appreciate you. Angel from The Bay
Amazing story telling, art work, diagrams, music, transitions, and skills. I admire your work turning raw materials into useful objects, and strive to learn the ways.
Hot dog! It's always exciting when there's a new video posted. The boys will be thrilled--their favorite episode was the one about the little log chicken coop. Merry Christmas to y'all!
Great video. Lookin' forward to the rest of the build video/s for your yard-bird house. Thank you for sharing them with us. It reminds me of Pappy's (my Grandpa) farm out in the foot hills of central California. I just can't get enough of your videos. 8-)
I just stumbled across your videos. Very well made, entertaining and also inspiring. I am contemplating a building like the one you have constructed. I have 20 acres +/- that was the last of my grandfathers place. All woodland with a variety of trees. Would like to use lumber milled from the property but time is a major factor. I still have to work a full time job and family stuff takes up a lot. A lot of knowledge and great ideas I have gleaned from your videos. Finish the chicken house and post the videos as soon as you get it done. Looking forward to it. Eastern Panhandle of WV is where I'm from.
