    Just a delight. And when I hear the orchestra, I always tell myself to dig out some Gerald Wilson and a Bordeaux. And never do, that would be too nice.

    K D would go on to Live for another 51 years post this interview.. so best be Proud to be 53 when one 7 days in May end at the ripe old age of 104 // also Olivia D hav.. 104 // / RIP all

    • @johnbeechy
      @johnbeechy 4 роки тому

      @A Warm Gun it is really too bad that the elders like K D were not allowed er were discriminated against due to their age (during the 1970s) K D wanted to be in 'one flew over the C Nest' but his age was the reason for not getting the role and his own son was the producer times have changed,.,. streamers are hiring lots of old actors..
      // and we are living longer, beyond this virus that trump is using to wipe out more americans than the last five presidents combined.. lol..
      Be well and be safe../ note that a warm gun still gives off a scent the scent gives away a location // exception: in Oklahoma where the wind dusts away the scent .. God Bless

    • @johnbeechy
      @johnbeechy 4 роки тому

      @A Warm Gun A W G... u know the gun is not as effective as using the virus... as a weapon even in self defense//
      LOL>. its amazing that USA would send their kids overseas for fear of dying by the bushel..lol.. er by the Bush baby..
      now are the days of go outside and die.. lol.. Herman cain.// the use of the Gun is ok but to use it in vain is a violation of Matt 26:52 best to find the most Non showing method for securing an enemy's death./
      there are many methods to acquire the higher success rate.. if cops were to not use their knee while on a camera phone, there be less payouts to them that are killed, let alone the use of guns on first responders that are not the wanted persons.. 12 million payout comes out of the taxpayer's own garage and cop's budgets.. cant afford to pay taxes that are wasted on paying payouts..// LOL..
      be well and demand the elders get jobs too.. Picard is still alive and so are so many other fictional characters ready to be played by so many Good elder actors.../ and thanks for letting me know 56 he looked great in '73 at that age.. its remarkable.. E Flynn died at the age of 50 as he had said he did not want to live beyond that age.. he died shacking up with some 16 yr girl... a different time.. LOL.. God Bless

    Dear Dick Cavett show,

    Can you upload interview clips of the late, great Robert Shaw. He was such an interesting and engaging guest appearing on the show at least 5 times.
    Please can you show Shaw's appearance in this episode:
    Woody Allen/Robert Shaw/Beverly Sills/Jacqueline Wexler (29 Dec. 1969)
    Thanks in advance.

    For any other curious folks, Kirk was born in on 12/9/1916 which made him 56 almost 57 here. He really didn't know how old he was :D

    According to director Richard Fleischer's memoir, Douglas could never get "comfortable" with a set-up unless the camera was pointing at him and the other actors had their backs to the shot.

    Kirk was 56 years young when this interview was aired, so he lied about is age by saying he was 53! But i guess if he had said he was 43 i believed in him.

    He was born in December 1916, so he lied when he said he was 53. Why he lied, I don’t know, cause at 56 years old based on this 1973 interview he looks fantastic.

    0:57 - listen to how the audience laughs at Douglas’ “literal” joke. Today, no one would bat an eye at Cavett’s usage.
