3 Days Solo Bushcraft - Campfire Cooking, Pipe Carving, Bench, Raised Bed + More
Вставка
- Опубліковано 18 жов 2024
- Still scouting for new areas to camp, I find a suitable location next to a marsh and spend 3 days camping alone.
During the trip I cooked over my campfire, made a raised bed, fashioned a small bench, and carved a tobacco pipe.
Recipe for the cornbread I made on the last day:
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 cup corn meal
1 tbsp sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup water
2 tbsp oil
Mix all dry ingredients together, then add water and oil. Mix until smooth.
Pour into greased pan and bake until a wood sliver passes without batter sticking to it. Makes enough for 2 filling breakfasts.
Thank you to everyone who watches, I really hope you enjoyed the trip.

Man as an outdoorsman and as a pipe smoker myself, I have to say you are a rare commodity these days. A young man with your woods skills is unheard of. So happy to have discovered your channel. Love the content.
This is what it’s all about; freedom, peace and harmony
And mosquitoes. :)
You don't think about all of those three
@@vr33m :")
No cars.. no women yelling at you...
Which is what the globalists don’t want you to have.
idk whats better your wilderness skills or your cinematography skills
Thank you so much for your kind words!
both
Congratulations ! You make things simple and easy for those of us who love the woods. I am now 87 and was once like you !
Hi! I just have to say, I LOVE your approach to this video. No BS or long-winded explaining like many other people tend to do, just the simplicity of the journey and enjoyment of nature. I can't wait for more of these adventures in this long format!
Just did a 12 hour shift and instead of Hulu or Netflix. This is more interesting to me.
amen!
Boycott the brainwashing.

Your films are amazing but please do not carve in the triangle of death (between your legs) on slip and its good night my friend! Take care
Love sitting under a tarp with the rain falling. The sound is so relaxing.
Ryley I watched one of your first videos and your development onto no commentary and still camera on tripod is oddly quite brilliant. The care you have taken to get the angles and shots makes for very captivating viewing. The cooking and carving is very educational and entertaining. Your adventures remind me of the writing of Grey Owl.
Real tobacco !! I miss my Grand Father and his pipe.
Your videos are not just instructive, they are remarkably calming. I love the silence, simplicity, and genuine heart that you put into this. Thank you for taking the trouble to film your trips.
Crossed my mind how hilarious it would be if your day job were working as an auctioneer...
Thank you. Excellent content as usual, sir. Much obliged...
Now you've gone too far brother!!!! This chair is very cool!!!!!😮Hugs from Brazil!!!!!
Haha that would be funny. Go from making these videos where I don't talk at all, to a job where I talk at 1000 words a minute.
Thanks for watching and for your comment.
Take care and happy trails!
No worries its all good
WOW
That cornbread was perfect chef! Nice to see variety in your meals you ate. Simple yet delicious.
I cannot applaud you enough for these amazingly instructive videos. I watch them, watch them again, then watch them again and make notes. The planning that goes into your trips, not to mention the video planning that goes into your trips, is so very evident. Btw, your hatchet skills are quite admirable. Another very well done documentary, thanks again.
Love all your videos Ryley. You offer an important reminder that there is another side to the hustle, bustle and stressors of life. Disconnecting, simplifying, and finding a little slice of peace now and then, can be very revivifying! LAL
Thank you for watching, AL.
It's always nice to spend a few days away from busy everyday life and relax in the solitude of nature.
Take care and have a great day!

While I may be a little late to this one, just wanted to say I absolutely love your videos man, you've legitimately inspired me, and I've spent far more time out on the trails as a result. I may not be an OG to the channel, but I'm certainly going to be a fan for however long your channel is up. Wish you well, from Oregon.
Always great to see you back with new videos. You make camping and cooking so simple with no stress in the world. Look forward to bigger and better videos. Good luck .

That bench seat and pipe you made was killa mate! Great video 👍
Thank you so much for watching!
Kusk Bushcraft I am watching too and loving it keep it up!!!
👍
Just hearing flying bugs starts to piss me off, however if you grind the hell out of a bunch of pine needles it'll give off oil, bugs hate it for some odd reason so just rub some of that on you, put about 5 pounds of it on the fire (five pounds really isn't a lot) and your good to go.
Survival lvl 10000
Your amazing you got good skills I laughed when u crafted that pipe I wanted to go outside n make one low key😂
Cooking part is always be my favourite scene.

The amount of mosquitoes flying past the camera made me itchy.
The amount of woods that He make from this trees make forest itchy :)
I was scratching the whole video. Normally these are very very relaxing but not so much when you're bleeding from scratching bites you don't have.

3 days of no talking to anyone. Salute you bro
The wilderness is vicious... but also beautiful and calming and free.
Also that bread looks like a pie.
Thinking about documenting my first camping video sooner or later. These are so soothing to me
This man really does know how to cook!
I’m definitely going to take some time off work to do a few days it been so long since I’ve been out enjoying what GOD has given us
Yes I gave you everything , my children.
Nice and simple. Wouldn't change a thing. I would smoke cigars instead of the pipe though. Oh and two bags of tea one cup of jack in the boiling water with a slice of lemon or orange. Otherwise don't change anything else.
Outstanding! A great mix of crafting cooking. Motivating to say the least. Keep up the great work.
the first fire was prettier than a 3 tier wedding cake. love from India
👋
Hi bro. How are you! Video is very good! Natural 100%. Greetings from Serbia.
Great video, no comment, no music but a great narrative. My heart was in my mouth when you carved that pipe. One slip with that very sharp knife and you would be in trouble ... and all to smoke tobacco. Hmm.
The carving technique I used is actually very safe. It looks dangerous, but there's little to no downward pressure being applied. Many experienced wood carvers use this same technique.
Kusk Bushcraft Sure I can see you know what you are doing. I couldn’t see any scars.
22:58 eating a campfire cooked steak under the sound of rain splatting on your tarp. dreams
Where does he keep fresh meat and eggs at
Another great video brother! Every time I watch your trips I learn something new. That was really cool how you made the bench, keep up the great work!
Thank you so much for your kind words. It really means a lot.
Take care and happy trails!
The editing is incredible!!! All the camera angles is mesmerizing along with the soundtrack I can watch and listen to this for hours. Very very good piece of film Mate! 😎👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😎
I admire your ability to ignore the mosquitoes!
Admit it, you drooled a little when he dipped the bacon into the egg...
Not afraid to admit it , either
Another great one Ryley. So relaxing to watch.
Thank you so much for watching!!
Absolute badass! I love the videos, man!
Always impressed with your woodscraft. 👍
I hate mosquitoes. watching this awesome video makes me think they're still biting me!
Yep. Great microphones, Shure studio headphones and watching this before bed is going to make for a long night. *swats*
Beef jerkey and rice! What a genius, my man
You eat better in these videos in the wild than I do at home!
I hope you realize you are having the time of your life. I really miss my youth
I'm doing my best to enjoy my youth. Life happens fast so we have to make it count. Thanks for watching. Happy trails!
The largest rain fly I’ve seen him ever use. By about a half acre.
