Would like to have seen this demo with an added IR light to compare the onboard IR lights with something else. Most cameras still need an additional IR light to be really useful at night.
Thanks for the awesome video so I have a question so for my channel I go out to some drag strips and film the cars and trucks goin down the track with my father and so I was wondering how good of quality is the video when it’s zoomed in a lot? Awesome! I’m looking to order one of these as a backup and probably a Sony camcorder as a main camera for our hunting channel. Did you happen to mess with the zoom power or focus on this camera?
It has auto focus so no issues there. I zoomed just a little nut not too much because it's not a feature I typically use. Overall I think it's a really good quality camera. I was real impressed with night vision and super disappointed with audio quality. I literally tried 5 different mics from... wireless to wired ... and the quality was not good.
hello , thank you for the review ,, you mention an audio input jack ,i expect it is 3.5mm yes ? does it accept TRS stereo jack or just mono ? can i use any type of mike / does the camera supply phantom power thru the cable ? i record music videos so sound quality is very important .i'm writing this 1 year after you posted the video ,current model comes with ext. mike and battery charger. thank you
I'm going to be honest.... I was not impressed with the audio. I didn't like the on - board mic, wireless mics, or even the mic I use with my Sony ZV1. It is 3 5 mono... I'm gonna say no on the phantom as well

I used a shotgun mic from a different camcorder. To be honest I felt like the audio on this 5k camera was not good. I tried a number of different mics and none really impressed me. Granted they were not high dollar or high quality mics so you have to take that into consideration.
sounds like it may be defective. I would pull the battery and make sure it is fully charged and then try it again. If that doesn't work then perhaps your camera may need to be replaced.
Do most of the cameras that come with HDMI, NOT play through a stand alone monitor, they'll just play through a TV or PC? I just got a CUTELULY 4K Video Camera Camcorder 48MP UHD 60FPS WiFi, it will not play through my Sceptre Monitor. It plays via win media play on my laptop, but the sound lags action, very noticeably, hence I was hoping to be able to bypass the player and go direct HDMI to my monitor. shrugs...
that is a great question that I am not able to answer. Typically when using the playback feature I do not connect it to any device, I pull the card and transfer it to a PC. Wish I could be more help ....

While viewing on the camera there is no lag, so I've been looking to go straight to something else, I think I'm sol. Rather than waste time and money, guessing at sound cards etc, I probably just need to get a more current laptop.
It's actually a small boom mic that come with another camcorder. I've not been able to find one exactly like it. It seems like the "higher dollar" microphones, lapel mics, or condensor mics do not work well these cameras
Right at the beginning of the video you'll see where I discuss audio...I actually used a shotgun mic from an older camcorder that seemed to work best. I tried 2 different lapel mic and my regular mic that I use for my Sony camera...the little shotgun perfomed the best. Unfortunately I do not know that brand since it come with another camcorder and brand name is not stamped on it.

Hi, is there a way to get the camera to focus or without getting blurry?
It's auto focus...not sure if you can make adjustments by turning the lens or not

how easy is it used as web cam?
I've not tried setting it up as a web cam. I would think it's just a matter of connecting one cable, should be simple
