I’ve noticed a pattern where the houses all look beautiful on the outside but once you go inside it’s all the cheapest furniture sized up. And it tends to be a little empty. Still all great builds!
I don't know if anyone has answered yet, but yes you can use the corner counter and you only need a half tile for your sims to get into bed. Whenever I build tiny I make the bedroom at least 3x4 for a double bed. I guess it's mostly because I haven't figured out how to make my sims scoot across the bed but they will use the half tile for getting into bed. They can't do much else though. Love your videos, btw. They always make my day better. So thank you for the content.
I have never seen a sim scoot across a double bed, tbh. I believe that if they don't have at least a half a tile space, they just can't use the bed, if another sim also uses the bed.
@@daphrodite80 I could be wrong but I believe you used to be able to make them scoot in the earlier games, like sims 1 or 2, by clicking on your sims. But I haven't seen that option in the sims 4 yet. I just assumed I was doing it wrong.
They can scoot, for sure, my sim has (and I was very surprised to see it) and her bed is a double bed, against a window on one side and open on the other. Sometimes she just lies down, scoots to the side next to the window, and sleeps there.

Debra Attkisson I like making nooks of sorts so this specific sim who is the only I saw do it has a bed which is surrounded by walls on all but one side. So the top and bottom of the bed are against walls, the right side is against a window, and the left side is just how she gets in. I’ll try to find a picture when I get home or something if that helps
How that goth house thing was so cheap was because a lot of stuff was debug and they mostly cost 0 simoleons so that is why thats actually a starter!🧚♀️

I always use Debug items in my builds and I can never find the cleaning things like the mop and plunger, I think it would make my builds look more loved in and homey if I added those types of things

I know for kids rooms I never put the beds against the wall because I've found that kids sometimes glitch and get out of the bed through the wall. Also, sims can get into a bed as long as there's a half a square on each side.

Just some info about sorority houses: usually but not always there is a chef for all meals, so the kitchen makes sense. That single room could be the House Mom's room, an older member of the sorority or just a woman who works for the sorority to be a resource to the sisters, help with planning and running the house, etc. It definitely also could be the chapter president's bedroom.
I think one of my favorite ones was the one with the entrance straight into the kitchen with that little island there right away and the main bulk of prep space tucked in its own little wall section. It's just a layout I never think about doing because my mom's house has you enter right into the kitchen, and I'm not super fond of that layout in real life, but in Sims that actually worked really well for framing a pretty symmetrical house.

A little tip on the bb.moveobjects: You don't have to add the on/off at the end, just type bb.moveobjects and click enter, and it turns on. Type bb.moveobjects again when you want to turn it off, and it turns off. :)
I have the goth cottage in my library, it's such a pretty build with many surprises. I haven't used it in a while, but seeing this I think I'm going to put it down again and make a gnome family to live there.
the first one is my go-to family starter, not for a cas-made family but to build on yknow? its just so homey. seeing it gave me nostalgia to when parenthood came out and i had a 3 or 4 generation long save, which is long for me.
The little carved stump in the Goth Cottage Starter is an item you get from the work bench. Your sim has to be in a flirty mood to get it when you use the work bench (similar to when you paint with different moods).
I LOVE one-pack starters! They're great for people like me who suck at building but also don't have every pack. So many people use like 20 stuff packs lmfao

ok I also meant to say, the layout looks like flagler, but the outside does not. flagler is spanish renaissance, it was an old hotel built by henry flagler. and then converted to a college, but the main hotel was made to be the girls dorms. so I lived in this amazing old historic hotel that president and famous people came too! it was super cool

The third house Deli shows in this video (with the chimney and Get Together style) I downloaded and put 3 ghost sims from various families in it so it’s “haunted.” I replaced the garden outside with their tombs!
I went to a hotel in London with the glass door that frost so you cant see through it.. but you can still see the outline of everything.. especially when it's the glass that connects between the shower and the bedroom...
Deli, you need to start putting your drinks in bottles with lids, then when you are finished replace the lid and if you knock it over, no spillage. If dropping the drink and spilling is the issue get a straw and don't touch the beverage, just lean over and sip.....
In my room(my actual room) I have two things a little out from the wall. The tv stand so I can get behind the tv and my bed so I can put things next to it but not have them be in the way
I never really decorate much, but put in an easel and if I put it on the gallery I make my sims write a book with the description to decorate it yourself, I don’t know if it works but still do it

I have the same issues with spilling things on my keyboard. That is why I got a VicTsing gaming keyboard It is spill resistant and the whole thing (except for the keys) is metal.
Corner counters do work, you can place objects there and even sims can cook on them. Also Beds can be reached if there is a half square space left between the wall. Deli, you're so picky today - at least get your facts real then :D
DELI for a speed-build you should do a 4 kid 2 adult home that only uses items from base game, seasons, island living and vampires (also try to make it look rustic)

Corner counters are usable! Sims prepare food on them, microwave, coffee pot and other items can be used on them!! 🙂
I think they give a nicer look than just the flat counter ending. And I like to put clutter in the corners like pitchers and spices, whatever.
Some feel if they don’t line things on the wall it gives a more realistic feel. It’s up the taste of the builder 🤷♀️

In real life, if you put furniture in a way that it permenently touches the wall, you're risking mold to appear, specially near windows
Irl I use three inch wide plastic containers and stick a pair of them behind my couches so it prevents furniture from touching and marking the walls!

I would use the roof decorations that was upsided for a fence--a fence for a balcony or a patio on the roof, it looks big enough to be.
One time in a store there was a door that you could see out but not in, it was pretty cool!

You can use the double bed how it was standing in the middle of the room, you also can use the cornercounter for making food.

Someone on SimsResource stole one of my sims 3 builds. They redecorated and put it up there.
