I have an idea for a build challenge: you should build a house but every room should be Based from a different time period. For example, the living room could be based on the 60s and the kitchen could be based on the 2000s.

I... Actually have palm trees in my yard lol I never thought that someone would find it weird because i grew with them, so for me is completely normal to have some palm trees even if here in Italy, where I live, there's not really the actual proper weather for them lol I love them so muuuch! And I also love this house, it's so elegant and fancy! I would love to actually live there, no joke.
Since my house was built we have had palm trees. We actually transported them on trucks. I live in the Caribbean so the weather for them is pretty good
I used to have 16 palm trees in my yard when we brought my house! My backyard isn’t even that big so it looked horrible and we removed them but still !!!
We have like 2 palm trees in the front yard and 2 in the back one and I think they are really aesthetically pleasing😍 they've been there for ages, like more than 25/30 years (I'm 21 and they were already 10 meters tall when I was born lol)🌴🌴

conservatories seem to be pretty common in british homes, too. i dont have one, myself, but a lot of my neighbors do - and i live in some generic small suburban town in staffordshire, not some upmarket fancy rich area. it's pretty normal here.
We have a conservatory. A bunch of houses in our street do. Maybe it's a British thing.

A lot of houses in Britain have conservatory’s (at least where I live ) maybe because we don’t get great weather so it’s a nice place to relax while kinda being outside if that makes sense x

@@CharlenesStudio21 she's done a couple of base game builds. Especially after the game first came out. She does occasionally slip up and accidentally use a little bit of pack stuff in some of them, but nothing that would break the building

The way you did the tile work in the front entry room looks soooo good...those black and white tiles can get overwhelming, but with the white patched you did really break that up and it looks wonderful!

When I went to southern France last summer I had one of those “pinch me” moments when I swam in the Mediterranean. It was absolutely surreal and something in my bucket list. I think I even cried a little

I live in a mansion, haha. But most people in my country do, all houses here are very big, even the ones that are kind of on the cheaper side, so my house technically wouldn’t be considered a mansion according to people living here. We don’t have a conservatory though since it’s way too hot where I live so we wouldn’t be able to use it since the sun makes everything uncomfortable. We do have sort of a green house and we’re planning to get a roof garden, since plants never grow. And we did have already grown palm trees planted in the garden, lol.
And I’d love if you’d build a Middle Eastern style house, the fancy items of the Get Famous pack look so much like our houses, so please consider it. ❤️

I’ve had about three of those moments, but one stands out more than the other. In 2016 my now-fiancé and his family took me to Universal Studios in Florida. I’m a major Harry Potter nerd. I’ve been reading the books since I was two and watching the movies since I was four. I was so giddy the day we went to the park, I was probably dragging everyone else past a bunch of other cool stuff. But man, the moment I saw the model Hogwarts on the bridge and walked into Hogsmead, I died of pure joy. All I could think was “this is it, my entire life has lead up to this moment and I am beyond thrilled and just extremely happy to be alive”
In Australia (not the country side )with 1 million dollars you would get nothing compared to that house. You’d be lucky to get a townhouse for that much.

I know many people that have conservatories in their homes that aren't rich. I think it's more common in countries with colder weather, because you can kinda bring the outdoors indoors... if that makes any sense 😂

What I was just thinking
Craning grown trees into a yard is called Earth Balling. The university I attended did it by transferring an Oak tree from the main quad to the other side of the campus compound. And it's hella expensive to do it.
You can do a riches to rags challenge with this house where 8 sims get to live in this house all without jobs and no remaining funds. The only way for them to buy food, pay the bills (which would be tremendous), etc. is to constantly sell or demolish some parts of the build. No gardening, fishing, collecting, painting, writing, or other modes of earning simoleons. The ultimate goal is to make all 8 sims alive with no remaining objects in the lot and no remaining funds.

Conservatories are actually quite common in the UK (I don't know about elsewhere) because when applying for planning permission to build, they are defined separate from a proper extension, so they can be easier to get permission to add to an existing home. So a lot of the time conservatories are just a relatively easy way of trading some of your garden space for indoor space instead. However, they get freezing in the winter if you can't afford to properly heat them (which usually requires expensive underfloor heating which most homes in the UK do not have), so they also have their drawbacks.
My magical moment was marrying my best friend in my Poppa's front yard.
Or realizing I adopted four rescue pets and how happy they are.
Or going on vacation to the key West. Seeing the ocean for the first time (now I live in Florida!!!) Going to the mountains in Georgia (where I'm from) and seeing snow, water falls etc.
Going to NY and traveling by myself at 19.

The part where you mention how you and all of your friends went through breakups at the end of 2017 was literally me too! I was going through a breakup as well and it was definitely the worst heartbreak for me.

When Deligracy started talking about sleeping anywhere I immediately laughed ,my dad ,older brother and I all can sleep anywhere,and in any position including standing if we needed to...its pretty funny to some of our family members.ive even stayed sleeping after falling 6 ft. From the top of my bunk bed to the floor.i only woke up the next morning when my sister stepped on me haha🤣🤣

2016 was a weird year, everyone was dying and there were clowns running around the streets. this year was good for me, started out bad, but ended good. i was fired from a job, but ende dup getting a better job so yay! 2019 my id expires...so theres that... lol

Regarding the cranes: That is what landscapers do. When you want a tree, you cannot wait 40 years for it to grow. So the trees are grown elsewhere, sold and put in.
RE: caffeine: personally, i can chug an energy drink and still fall asleep real quick after it, haha. and do it basically anywhere. heck, i use my lunch break at work every day to take a nap, and that's with a loud office all around me and i still sleep pretty solid.

*whistles* Hell of a mansion, Deli. I can clearly see the effort you put into making it a true million-dollar build. I think it looks lovely -- the rooms all have a fairly elegant vibe. Except maybe the master bedroom, but as you say, if you've GOT leopard print. . . XD But yeah, it's awesome, great job.
As for "pinch me" moments, I think my big one was back around ten years ago -- there was a screening of Back to the Future at a Florida DeLorean show, which happened also to have a Q&A/signing with Christopher Lloyd (Doc), Claudia Wells (original Jennifer), Jeffrey Weissman (sequels George) and Bob Gale (producer/scriptwriter). Christopher Lloyd is one of my favorite actors, so I was absolutely gobsmacked when Mom managed to get us tickets. I had a BTTF crew jacket that they'd gotten me for an earlier birthday, so we took that along and had everyone sign it, and then I got a picture with everyone WHILE GETTING TO PUT MY ARM AROUND CHRISTOPHER LLOYD. :D It was -- it was pretty awesome. :)
