Yes, I ordered the two lightest shades just in case and was so surprised how light the lightest one is. Usually everything oxidizes on me and this stayed pale.
Now that you have dry skin issues you should try out the adding a drop of face oil to the foundations which are dry like this. I’ve found that it helps A LOT with that cheek clinging issue.

I have dry skin but I don't like the Dewy & Smooth foundation. Something about it just makes me look incredibly fake, like I am wearing a ton of makeup even if I only use a little bit. The Neutrogena Healthy Skin foundation has been good for me though. :)
I really love how real you are with us. It makes me feel a lot better when you actually zoom in and show us what your skin and foundation looks like up close in natural light. You're definitely my favorite!

Nona M I have been adding a drop of oil to my foundation for quite some time now without any issues. As long as you only use one drop of oil your foundation shouldn't separate. Also, I always use a hydrating primer before my foundation. My faves are the Laura mercier hydrating primer, MUFE hydrating step 1 primer, or the TF hangover Rx. I have noticed this method works best with matte foundations. The foundation I'm currently using is the L'Oréal pro matte with only one drop of Argan oil, but honestly any matte foundation would work. I also use a beauty blender to achieve a smoother finish. This routine keeps my foundation from looking crusty!! I hope this helps :)
How it looked when you first applied it is how EVERY foundation looks on me because I'm SO dry!! Ughhh yeah other reviews I've seen said this is Hella matte so not for us dry skinned people. Hope it's something maybe you oily skinned people can enjoy! Especially if you're a fair skinned prince/princess. ♡ Taylor you look gorgeous as always!
perfectly imperfect23 You should try the Covergirl Healthy Elixir foundation if there’s a shade your color, and the L’Oréal Pro Glow. Those are my two go to drugstore foundations and I have pretty dry skin too.
Morgan M I know the covergirl foundation is a no for me because the lightest shade is way to dark. I have heard good things about it though. I mean I have a white mixer but I'm lazy. Lol I have thought about pro glow or lumi so those are still ones I may try. Currently I use Revlon colorstay in normal to dry. The shade I have is like perfect which is a first for me and the coverage is pretty good. It doesn't look to terrible on my skin. Just the longer I wear it obviously the worse it looks. Though not as bad as cover girl true blend. Omg! I tried that last year and it looked HORRENDOUS!! Besides the fact that it was to dark my skin has never looked worse! I applied it that one time and never ever tried it again! My skin looked like a lizard! Even in places I wasn't dry it still looked crusty! I just bought the hard candy dewy primer spray. So I'm hoping that will help with me putting it under and over my makeup. Do you use any powder from the drugstore? Be it a true setting powder or a powder foundation that you use as a setting powder or do you only wear foundation by itself? P.s thanks for being nice and taking the time to suggest products to a stranger. ♡

I struggled with acne for years and although I never did accutane (but believe me I wanted to) it really did a number on my self esteem. So it’s so awesome to see you put out great content and girl you do an amazing job! It just makes me so happy to see you actually show us that yeah it sucks but it doesn’t define who we are. wow, really shows how everyone's skin reacts different to foundation. i also went on accutane and it made my skin even drier but this foundation looks flawless on my skin and doesnt grab at anything.
Me! I use the Dermacol 208 as the 'standard' shade for Taylor's skin in comparison swatches, i'm currently waiting on the lightest shade of Marc Jacobs ReMarcable foundation being delivered, the Ivory Light came in stock here in the UK and I'm super excited to finally try it. I'm hoping it's a shade too light so I can buy the next Shade darker and have a lighter shade to play with too!
I actually love this foundation so much ! I have combo skin, its oily around my forehead and sometimes around my cheeks, but very dry around my nose area. The foundation dries pretty quick and it's not completely matte, so i don't even need to set it with powder ! It stays on my skin all day long, and even tho i get oily it still looks nice, it gives me that natural look. Maybe you should try it when you are off of Accutane and share your thoughts again

I eat avacado right out of the skin after I sprinkle salt, onion powder, cayenne pepper and paprika on it. It's the lazy girl's guacamole in the skin. Judge all you want...I don't care!

I love how real you are, thanks for being so consistent and true to yourself over the years. Because of you, I’m not self conscious of my skin tone anymore. My face is much lighter than the rest of my body, and so even though I would pick a foundation that matched my body, I generally would do half a shade or shade darker than my skin tone because I would feel bad about myself if the foundation shade looked too “light”, in regards to the media’s expectation of the most appealing skin tone. However, since watching your videos the past few months, I’m not self-conscious of my skin tone anymore, and I’m embracing my fair skin... I actually went out and bought the correct shade and felt genuinely self assured. I know that might seem insignificant to other people.. but it was truly a liberating experience to not feel bad about my skin tone! ❤️
Yesss! It blows my mind how we unconsciously interpret everything from the media/advertisements and how that effects our livelihood/how we view ourselves without even realizing it... You don’t even think about it when it’s happening, but you know how it makes you feel, and you walk away feeling less of yourself.. if that makes sense. However, thanks to beautiful souls like Taylor, we become aware of these systemic dynamics and realize we do not have to be defined by these “rules”.
Taylor Jones I live in Florida, but my face is never tan! I look back on my wedding photos, etc. and chuckle because I'm the palest one there -- even though my sister in law lives in Ohio. She was still tanner than me! My cousins are constantly at that beach and freak out when they fade. Heck, I stay faded! The pressure is off! My skin is clearer than theirs is and it will look better as I get older. One of them is 22 and she's already noticing a few smile lines, etc. Girl...no thanks! I do see magazines or even watch people on the beach and go, "Dang, I wish I was tan like her." But ultimately, I don't want to devote the time and energy needed to maintain a perfect tan since I've got to suffer through a few burns before I get there. If I get sun naturally by doing outdoor activities, great, but I'm not stressing over it. I'm not patient enough to lay out anyway. I'd rather kayak or walk the beach! The only drawback for me being so pale is that more colors wash me out clothing wise, but it's a small price to pay.

I wonder if it's the shade, I feel like sometimes the lightest shade in a foundation range is chalky and doesn't sit well on the skin (like a different formula has to be made to get it that light).
Just back from a 2-wk vacation where I had NO internet - drove me nuts!! Have to binge-watch all of your videos now and I can't wait to get to the rest. Weird, when I saw your first comments in this video I noted how smooth and beautiful your complexion looked. But when you get down to the nitty-gritty with those close-ups -whoa!! I would try this foundation again when you aren’t on your acne medication. I mean I know everyone’s skin will react differently but I have dry skin and I love this foundation lol. It might be bc of how dry skin is and bc of all the oils you’re putting on your skin to help with the dryness but again it could just not work for your skin but try again when you’re off your acne medication.
Samantha Fugiero I agree. I absolutely love this foundation! My face looks flawless, and I don't have to waste extra time using concealer before applying my foundation. I first saw this foundation at Walgreens, and they finally had testers, which is something they should have done long ago. So I tried 112 and 120, and the 120 was my perfect match. They only had 2 of each shade, and I would of bought them both but I wanted to make sure that it didn't oxidize which it didn't. So I went back to Walgreens the next day to buy the second bottle that I hid behind the ugliest nail polish color I could find. 😂. It of course was still there so I won't be running out anytime soon. I live in a very small town so once they get "New" makeup, it's gone within a week. Needless to say, I love it👍🏼😘
i got this foundation without seeing any reviews and im glad i did because i love it,my skin is dry and all my foundations look weird on my T zone but this baby is goood and it wears nicely for 8 hours! then it kinda starts to wear off but it feels nice on my skin and i can actually touch it and it wont feel like foundation.
Because of my naturally dry skin, I have given up on a brush to do my foundation because a brush always disrupts flakes on my skin making it look very textured. However a sponge has really helped to smooth and hydrate. I also add a couple drops of oil in my foundation. Just thought I’d share. Maybe it will help you out, or not. But, I hope it does. I’m not an artist or anything fancy like that. Just another lover of the art of makeup. Thanks for your hard work on every video I’ve watched of yours.

I didn't pick up 102 Fair Porcelain as it leans slightly pink compared to 110 Porcelain. 110 Porcelain in this foundation is less yellow compared to the 110 Fit me Matte for sure and warmer compared to the Fit me Smooth & Dewy, it's more pale girl neutral with none of the orange/peach nonsense. ;)
Everyone says it's the same thing as the old but more full coverage, finish and all. Just remember when you're on Accutane even if your skin looks "moisturized" doesn't mean it will look good under foundation. I couldn't wear face makeup on my skin for 2 months without even the most moisturizing foundation on my face with a crap ton of Cerave cream underneath. Maybe you should do a comparison of the old vs. the new formula on your face . I'm sorry it didn't work for you tho, especially since it was your favorite foundation.
Check the description box! I did an update of trying out the old formula and it still worked beautifully for me. As I mentioned, having foundation look bad hasn't been an issue for me since my skin isn't actually that dry :)
I'm a two-time Accutane user and I definitely agree with what you said about the moisturizing part. There was a time where I literally had to slather my face in a handful of cream to get my dryness under control and it was still touch and go. Also, it changes the texture of your skin. Even if the skin doesn't seem or look overly dry, the feel of the skin is definitely different on the medication. Accutane is a hell of a drug. 😂
I can definitely see her face before foundation look super oily in a good way.. Her skin before foundation look exactly my skin before.. But now, the only part of my skin face that oily just my nose. Thattayla always be honest, and which YTber will show you all stuff going on, on her face like her

i have a huge issue with my foundation rubbing off my chin and lower cheeks, what base combo do you use to prevent transfer? love you and trust your opinion more then anyone on youtube!!
Madeline Heimer Try applying powder BEFORE applying foundation .. it helps with longetivity and with oil control especially in the T Zone .. you can use any finishing powder .. I use a mattifying one with silica .. as a matter of fact I apply to all my face before foundation for the best oil control and flawless finish
I’m 40 and my skin is dryer in other areas yet oily in the middle. When I need my makeup to stay I use either Mac paint pot or the tart shape tape to prep the skin before I apply the foundation. Works like a charm! Make sure to use a thin layer.
I have two of the Maybelline Matte Inks and I love them. They take a while to dry down, but after that they do nooooot move at all! And yet still keep a slightly tacky feeling. Weird that they transfer on you!
Look at her lips :) i think she have Chapstick going on, thats what happens to me, when i have Chapstick on my lips, all matte lipstick will just transfer some how, but when i didn't it will just stay in place... X
It’s a shade inconsistency. I have an orangey shade and it cracks, transfers and balls up - and no, I don’t have lip balm on before like someone else suggested. Just inconsistent! I have a friend who has a pinky shade and she doesn’t experience any issues with it at all.

Also I was wondering are there any drugstore/high end moisturizers and primers that worked for you before you got on accutane? I have the same issue with acne and really oily skin and have yet to find a moisturizer that isn’t super heavy or too light and a primer that helps blur pores/acne and keeps oil in control. Girl your skin is really clearing up. I’m so happy it seems to be working so well for you. And can I say thank you for just being you. I struggled with acne for years and although I never did accutane (but believe me I wanted to) it really did a number on my self esteem. So it’s so awesome to see you put out great content and girl you do an amazing job! It just makes me so happy to see you actually show us that yeah it sucks but it doesn’t define who we are. It gives me warm and fuzzies thinking about how much you are helping people who like me really struggled. You rock!

wow, really shows how everyone's skin reacts different to foundation. i also went on accutane and it made my skin even drier but this foundation looks flawless on my skin and doesnt grab at anything.

Me! I use the Dermacol 208 as the 'standard' shade for Taylor's skin in comparison swatches, i'm currently waiting on the lightest shade of Marc Jacobs ReMarcable foundation being delivered, the Ivory Light came in stock here in the UK and I'm super excited to finally try it. I'm hoping it's a shade too light so I can buy the next Shade darker and have a lighter shade to play with too!

I actually love this foundation so much ! I have combo skin, its oily around my forehead and sometimes around my cheeks, but very dry around my nose area. The foundation dries pretty quick and it's not completely matte, so i don't even need to set it with powder ! It stays on my skin all day long, and even tho i get oily it still looks nice, it gives me that natural look. Maybe you should try it when you are off of Accutane and share your thoughts again

I eat avacado right out of the skin after I sprinkle salt, onion powder, cayenne pepper and paprika on it. It's the lazy girl's guacamole in the skin. Judge all you want...I don't care!

Whenever I want to learn how beauty product performs I scour the internet for information, no matter what the popular opinion is, I'm always like "Okay...But what does Taylor think?". I love how real you are, thanks for being so consistent and true to yourself over the years. Makes it not only enjoyable to watch your channel, but genuinely helpful as well in regards to honest product reviews.
Because of you, I’m not self conscious of my skin tone anymore. My face is much lighter than the rest of my body, and so even though I would pick a foundation that matched my body, I generally would do half a shade or shade darker than my skin tone because I would feel bad about myself if the foundation shade looked too “light”, in regards to the media’s expectation of the most appealing skin tone.
However, since watching your videos the past few months, I’m not self-conscious of my skin tone anymore, and I’m embracing my fair skin... I actually went out and bought the correct shade and felt genuinely self assured. I know that might seem insignificant to other people.. but it was truly a liberating experience to not feel bad about my skin tone! ❤️

Yesss! It blows my mind how we unconsciously interpret everything from the media/advertisements and how that effects our livelihood/how we view ourselves without even realizing it... You don’t even think about it when it’s happening, but you know how it makes you feel, and you walk away feeling less of yourself.. if that makes sense. However, thanks to beautiful souls like Taylor, we become aware of these systemic dynamics and realize we do not have to be defined by these “rules”.
Taylor Jones I live in Florida, but my face is never tan! I look back on my wedding photos, etc. and chuckle because I'm the palest one there -- even though my sister in law lives in Ohio. She was still tanner than me! My cousins are constantly at that beach and freak out when they fade. Heck, I stay faded! The pressure is off! My skin is clearer than theirs is and it will look better as I get older. One of them is 22 and she's already noticing a few smile lines, etc. Girl...no thanks! I do see magazines or even watch people on the beach and go, "Dang, I wish I was tan like her." But ultimately, I don't want to devote the time and energy needed to maintain a perfect tan since I've got to suffer through a few burns before I get there. If I get sun naturally by doing outdoor activities, great, but I'm not stressing over it. I'm not patient enough to lay out anyway. I'd rather kayak or walk the beach! The only drawback for me being so pale is that more colors wash me out clothing wise, but it's a small price to pay.

I wonder if it's the shade, I feel like sometimes the lightest shade in a foundation range is chalky and doesn't sit well on the skin (like a different formula has to be made to get it that light).

I would try this foundation again when you aren’t on your acne medication. I mean I know everyone’s skin will react differently but I have dry skin and I love this foundation lol. It might be bc of how dry skin is and bc of all the oils you’re putting on your skin to help with the dryness but again it could just not work for your skin but try again when you’re off your acne medication.
Samantha Fugiero I agree. I absolutely love this foundation! My face looks flawless, and I don't have to waste extra time using concealer before applying my foundation. I first saw this foundation at Walgreens, and they finally had testers, which is something they should have done long ago. So I tried 112 and 120, and the 120 was my perfect match. They only had 2 of each shade, and I would of bought them both but I wanted to make sure that it didn't oxidize which it didn't. So I went back to Walgreens the next day to buy the second bottle that I hid behind the ugliest nail polish color I could find. 😂. It of course was still there so I won't be running out anytime soon. I live in a very small town so once they get "New" makeup, it's gone within a week. Needless to say, I love it👍🏼😘
i got this foundation without seeing any reviews and im glad i did because i love it,my skin is dry and all my foundations look weird on my T zone but this baby is goood and it wears nicely for 8 hours! then it kinda starts to wear off but it feels nice on my skin and i can actually touch it and it wont feel like foundation.
Because of my naturally dry skin, I have given up on a brush to do my foundation because a brush always disrupts flakes on my skin making it look very textured. However a sponge has really helped to smooth and hydrate. I also add a couple drops of oil in my foundation. Just thought I’d share. Maybe it will help you out, or not. But, I hope it does. I’m not an artist or anything fancy like that. Just another lover of the art of makeup. Thanks for your hard work on every video I’ve watched of yours.

I didn't pick up 102 Fair Porcelain as it leans slightly pink compared to 110 Porcelain. 110 Porcelain in this foundation is less yellow compared to the 110 Fit me Matte for sure and warmer compared to the Fit me Smooth & Dewy, it's more pale girl neutral with none of the orange/peach nonsense. ;)

Everyone says it's the same thing as the old but more full coverage, finish and all. Just remember when you're on Accutane even if your skin looks "moisturized" doesn't mean it will look good under foundation. I couldn't wear face makeup on my skin for 2 months without even the most moisturizing foundation on my face with a crap ton of Cerave cream underneath. Maybe you should do a comparison of the old vs. the new formula on your face . I'm sorry it didn't work for you tho, especially since it was your favorite foundation.
Check the description box! I did an update of trying out the old formula and it still worked beautifully for me. As I mentioned, having foundation look bad hasn't been an issue for me since my skin isn't actually that dry :)
I'm a two-time Accutane user and I definitely agree with what you said about the moisturizing part. There was a time where I literally had to slather my face in a handful of cream to get my dryness under control and it was still touch and go. Also, it changes the texture of your skin. Even if the skin doesn't seem or look overly dry, the feel of the skin is definitely different on the medication. Accutane is a hell of a drug. 😂
I can definitely see her face before foundation look super oily in a good way.. Her skin before foundation look exactly my skin before.. But now, the only part of my skin face that oily just my nose. Thattayla always be honest, and which YTber will show you all stuff going on, on her face like her
I've been on Accutane too and my face was never super dry actually. Not everyone experiences the same amount of side effects.
Taylor, that's too bad it didn't work for you, but I'm glad your skin isn't dry. Also, thank you for being so honest in your reviews; that's one of the reasons you're my favorite youtuber and I love this series! I think I still may try it tho, hope that it doesn't look like that on my skin!

Taylor I have super dry skin and unless it's a dewy foundation i have to mix in a face oil to prevent the dry look in colder weather

i have a huge issue with my foundation rubbing off my chin and lower cheeks, what base combo do you use to prevent transfer? love you and trust your opinion more then anyone on youtube!!

Madeline Heimer Try applying powder BEFORE applying foundation .. it helps with longetivity and with oil control especially in the T Zone .. you can use any finishing powder .. I use a mattifying one with silica .. as a matter of fact I apply to all my face before foundation for the best oil control and flawless finish
I have a problem with mine coming off my nose. I usually bake it. But Yeah, id just make sure you set it well.
I’m 40 and my skin is dryer in other areas yet oily in the middle. When I need my makeup to stay I use either Mac paint pot or the tart shape tape to prep the skin before I apply the foundation. Works like a charm! Make sure to use a thin layer.

I have two of the Maybelline Matte Inks and I love them. They take a while to dry down, but after that they do nooooot move at all! And yet still keep a slightly tacky feeling. Weird that they transfer on you!

It’s a shade inconsistency. I have an orangey shade and it cracks, transfers and balls up - and no, I don’t have lip balm on before like someone else suggested. Just inconsistent! I have a friend who has a pinky shade and she doesn’t experience any issues with it at all.
Thank god. I just bought it in that exact shade because it was buy 1 get 1 half off and the reviews were great. I’m waiting for the order... hope it works out for me too!

Also I was wondering are there any drugstore/high end moisturizers and primers that worked for you before you got on accutane? I have the same issue with acne and really oily skin and have yet to find a moisturizer that isn’t super heavy or too light and a primer that helps blur pores/acne and keeps oil in control. Thanks for any advice you can give!
