For those of you majorly criticizing Nikkia for her highlighter and saying her placement is wrong, how it doesn't make sense to use matte foundation then apply highlight, and how it isn't doing her any favors..stop. It's not about you! Us oily girls can't wear luminous foundation so we wear a matte one and then use highlighter to get the glowy look and enhance our favorite features. If you don't like it, don't do it! We know it enhances texture, we know it doesn't look natural, we know that it doesn't make sense to everyone, but it doesn't need to as long as we enjoy it.

I agree! You still want a glow and you can’t get that with a matte foundation. I bought this and am hoping it works for my dry skin with really preparing my skin & hydrating the shit cuz even though I have dry skin, I still love a Matte finish. ☺️

cheer up you lovely oily ladies :) I am 52 years old & still have a very oily t-zone but the bonus is I honestly have no wrinkles what so ever I just have some fine lines under my eyes so all's good AND shock horror ! I don't moisturise !! because it just makes me oilier & break out in Pimple's & I figure my natural oils do the job just fine. So rejoice you oily 20 something's & just know that in 30 years time you'll look like you're still in your 30s ;)....love your vids Nikkia you make me smile x
if you don't moisturise your skin might produce more oil to make up for the lack of moisture. Nikkia stressed the fact that moisture is important no matter your skin type and a good moisturiser can help your skin produce less oil. But do whatever works for you! So jealous you have no wrinkles, I have a few fine lines already and I'm 26 lol.
I'm super oily also, I never bought into the hype of moisturizing because, I thought the same way. After a skin care analysis they talked me into a moisturizing routine. I've noticed that after doing it I'm not as oily as I used to be. So, I now believe them when they say, your skin produces oils because it needs moisturization. I'm 52.
SuperPresleyfan I'm a little late watching this video. I love her videos though! Dunno how I missed this one but just found it. Anyway I was reading some of the comments, as I always do and seen your comment. I was actually JUST saying this the other day! I have super super oily skin, always have. And I'm in my early 40s, creeping up on mid 40s quick. And I don't mean to brag, honestly I'm not bragging (Let me knock on some wood!) But I don't have wrinkles! I have some fine lines around my eyes, but honestly without powder I don't even have those but I crease without powder. Anyway I have women my age that ask me "why do you not have wrinkles!?" Or "how the hell do you not have wrinkles" I always say I dunno. I do use moisturizers, btw clinique dramatically different for oily/combo skin is AWESOME! I can't use ANY other kind cuz even if it says oil free it makes me so oily. The clinique really is good! If you haven't tried it, TRY IT. I use to not use any at all either until I tried that, years ago and I swear by IT! But I've went on long enough sorry. Just wanted to tell you, your right. For these girls complaining about oily skin it's a blessing in the long run! And I know it's bad, but I am a smoker too, which causes wrinkles (and other bad stuff I know, I know) but I really think being oily, so oily has prevented wrinkles.
SuperPresleyfan also one more thing, the other people that commented saying no moisturizer can make you produce more oil, it's true. It really is. I use to think the same way, and wouldn't use moisturizer. But once I found the clinique dramatically different lotion my skin was actually not as oily. And using a moisturizer at night help a ton too! I am still oily, but not anything near as bad as I was before I started using a moisturizer.... But you do what works for you, what makes you happy! I'm not at all faulting you!!! Don't take me wrong. Just letting you know what worked for me. And maybe if you wanted to try it. It's of course up to you though.
She’s right. My mum is 60 and looks 40 since she’s had oily skin all over her face as a teenager-30s and she didn’t expose her face to sun too much
I really love this foundation. It looks flawless and has soooo good coverage. My All Nighter or especially Lock It looks straight up caked, but this one looks flawless and doesn’t emphasise my pores! So loving it ❤️
Seo Yeon Beauty I was considering trying this foundation out but your comment just convinced me! I always hear good things about the All Nighter foundation but it emphasizes my skin texture or looks cakey even though I exfoliate and moisturize. I’ve noticed it’s that foundation in particular. Can’t wait to try this one out!

I agree I have both Kat and All Nighter and they have always just been a bit too much. This is impressive full coverage (decent shade range) and what a great price. I would recommend over both for a good full coverage and several others out there as well.
Does it dry? I have the wet and wild photofocus one but it ends up looking cakey and it never completely dries (feels weird /doesn't adhiere to the skin )
You are literally the ONLY person I trust when it comes to foundation lol. My skin is so oily that you could probably fry something on it in the summer when it's hot!!! I will definitely be picking up this foundation with the holidays coming up. Just wondering if you have any recommendations for a good drugstore primer? I've used the Rimmel Stay Matte for about a year now and I think my skin is adapting to it!!!
Omg I have been using the Rimmel Stay Matte primer for about 6 months and I thought it was just me thinking it had adapted to my oily skin!, but I guess I'm not the only one!

I purchased this foundation last week after watching Nikkia’s dupe video recommending it. I haven’t been able to stop wearing it since! I’m absolutely blown away and so grateful to have caught her review and recommendation! I’m so glad I didn’t watch other UA-cam reviews who gave it negative reviews because I honestly wouldn’t have purchased it. This foundation looks better on me than every other foundation I own and I have tried tons of high end as well as drugstore. Also interesting is the fact that I am 54 years old and have dry skin! This foundation does not look caked, cling to dry patches, exaggerated or settle into wrinkles or fine lines and the finish is smooth and satin like- that doesn’t even do it justice. Also, it does not budge or break up even after long hours of wear. I had a slight wearing off around the corners of my mouth and my nose, but I tend to touch or rub my nose often lol.. I can’t get over how beautiful this foundation is. Also, it doesn’t feel heavy on the skin -I don’t know what the formula secret is, but this foundation outperforms every other foundation I’ve tried. Can’t recommend it enough.

Honestly I love it when you use the blotting paper and show us how much oil you actually produce! I have very very similar skin to yours and it always annoys the crap out of me when my friend says she is soooo oily but she blots and there are 2 tiny ass spots on her paper???? GIRL PLZZZZ I WOULD KILL FOR YOUR "OILY" SKIN.
maario210 Yes Honey, but you will probably have better with that Oily Skin. If I how old you are, but in my late teens/early 20s, I was so oily that I couldn't keep foundation on my face. I'm going to be 30 this year, and while still a little oily, I'm drying up lol. I actually want some of that back, because I'm seeing fine lines and the like lol. Be grateful for what you DO have. I know easier said than done lol.

Yea that's true. But can you get samples of the high end? Such as Huda or jouer?
I wouldn’t recommend that one for the ingredients. Try getting a sample of Jouer and at Sephora yes you can get samples of high end makeup.
ShaRae Burr Jouer will be your best option. I have it and the Huda foundation. The Jouer is mind-blowing! Literally super full coverage on half a pump! It takes 3-4 pumps of Huda to get that coverage and it only looks good from away. Up close its awful. I've never loved a foundation like i do Jouer.

Soul Guardian I think it might only be the Fit Me Foundation that doesn’t have pumps here in the states. I know it’s such a small thing to complain about but it helps save product and over pouring. 😊

WOW...that seems to be a WONDERFUL foundation! I think after 10-12 hours, it looks just exactly as it did when you 1st applied it, after blotting of course, but OMG girl! Beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤

I don't think I've ever actually seen you do a foundation review before, because I'm a relatively new subscriber. I really enjoyed how you spread it out over 3 days and tried different techniques for it's application though, because everybody does it differently. For your oily skin, have you ever tried introducing a facial oil into your night time skincare routine? Sometimes people produce excess oil due to dehydration, so using a facial oil at night gives your skin the hydration it needs which then stops it from over producing during the day. It's probably something that you've already been told about and tried, but I thought I may as well mention it just in case. I hope you're having a brilliant day! 😘

I feel like we're always the last ones when it comes to beauty products - imagine that they've brought in stores, the maybelline age rewind concealer this year 😥😣) anywaaaay ... My skin is really similar to yours and same as you , my ride or die foundation is the estee lauder double wear so your first impressions for oily skin foundation are very very useful !!! tried this for the first time today because of your recommendation and I AM IN LOVE. I was not even a tiny bit shiny at the end of the day and that never happens on my skin. I think I even like it better then the Estee Lauder double wear.

I seriously love you girl!! I have very oily skin as well and your videos have been a god send! One thing that I’m very impressed with is how you choose the right color foundation every time. I never seem to get it right when I try with drugstore foundations. I use mat velvet plus in shade 35 but I can never seem to find another shade close to it.
I’m not shocked that your skin looks just as good if not better without a primer... honestly I think they are a gimmick and just a way to get more money out of us bc I have so many primers and very expensive ones at that- everytime I forget to put a primer on my skin looks so much better and I’m always like what the heck! It’s a conspiracy I tell ya! Definitely need a powder though!
Alexandra Jimenez I feel this exact way over setting sprays too. I have extremely oily skin & all nighter & Gerard cosmetics setting sprays make me look cakey and way worse after a few hours than I do without them! I've tried so many, and no. Just no.
Hollywood Mishap try the de-slick one by UD, it’s made for oily skin. I have it and it makes everything look good and I don’t get oily at all
Primers always tint my skin a different color. It’s really odd.
Sarah Infinger I tried that one after All Nighter. It didn't do me any favors at all. I've tried at least 10-15 different ones & they all do the same thing to me
I don't use primers, just moisturize at morning and at night. I also set my face makeup with powder. My foundation lasts about 16 hours

I haven't found anything that covers like Fenty its my favorite. I just don't use drug store foundation sorry girls. The Maybellen looks amazing on Nikkia but then everything looks good on her.
+Mariah Cherish I believe you are right - this one is totally full coverage - I used to use the Kat Von Dee Lock It Powder foundation. I have never used the liquid. I started to order the BECCA but the Sephora rep recommended the Fenty and Nikkia really liked it too. It will be awhile before it comes, they are experiencing high volumes since the sale. I'm excited I ordered a Huda palette and I am an eyeshadow nut. I have way too much already. I want the new NARS that just came out that only Rouge can order. It never ends.....

I've been using pressed for years and the loose I have tried hasn't worked for me. The Maybelline has completely shocked me both in appearance and with the longevity of my makeup. Been using it for a couple of weeks now and I love it. It's all because of you! You rock, girl.

Thank god for your reviews! Some people say that it's annoying when all the beauty gurus review the same stuff but I think it's important because not everyone has the same skin type and skin tone and watching someone like you helps me decide if a foundation is suitable for my skin type.

Review the Clinique beyond perfecting foundation + concealer plz
Danise Bautista i have that foundation alingbwith esteee lauder maximum cover double wear but after two hours the clinique already separates :( i like the old foundation that they used to have better

The only thing about these reviews- instead of doing no primer and no powder as well as primers that don’t work for you; I think it would be a much better test to do high end products one day then drug store products the last day. Like we know already that it won’t work if you use a dewy primer. I would have loved to see day 3 with like a nyx primer and then the maybelline fit me or coty powder. Just an idea!!! Love how thorough these are!!

Katie Seier the first day she used maybelline powder and primer.. second day high end... third day just for some extra testing she does it with a primer that doesn't work well... obviously it's going to be oily but how does it hold up against the touch ups?

This foundation is the Bomb!! I've seriously had this foundation on my face for 23 hours and it still looked good. I'm a nurse and I worked 16 of those 23 hours, after I went to another hospital for my friend's birth of her new baby, I was there around 5 1/2 hours plus stopping for food after, got home looked in the mirror and thought, DANG!!! what foundation did I use?? Then remembered. My Holy Grail definitely..

For those of us who don't have tonnes of money to waste product. Using your fingers to apply and then stippling over with a beauty blender gets the SAME finish. I have tried this comparison many times with many foundations!
I bought this foundation because I wanted a cheaper alternative to double wear and I have to say I’m really impressed, I have combination skin that gets oily after a while. But it’s great and nice colours :)

My guess is that Estée Lauder foundation still wears longer cause it works like a matte hardcore paint on the face. This Maybelline one looks more natural though, which makes me think it would last a little bit less than Estée Lauder. It’s probably good to have both and wear them depending on the occasion.
I personally think it’s better because the doublewear is Really cakey on me... this is just lit!
Yes I would like to know also! I LOVE double wear, but don’t love the price. I know you love double wear too, so how does this compare?
purple Mia - it might not look so cakey on you if you wear moisturizing primer under and/or mix it with some oil. Right now with the winter weather it would look cakey on me too, but I’m moisturizing and priming my skin really well before applying Double Wear, and it looks awesome. But if I don’t take those extra steps I’m pretty screwed, hehe. I think Double Wear is ideal for hot weather and oily/combination skin, but with a couple extra steps, it can work well for dry skin too.

I do like that one too! I have oily skin and rosacea it breaks up a little on my nose but its one of my fav drugstore
