In order to do international trades esp with oil, you need to use US Dollars. But the US sanctioned Venezuela so they block them from using Dollars so in effect they can't do business with the outside world. So since Venezuela relies on imports for supplies like food and medicine and they have no monetary means to purchase them since US sanction them, this causes shortages and prices to skyrocket and your currency hyper-inflates and becomes worthless as other nation's exporters don't want it since they can't use it. Only thing Venezuela could turn to was using their gold to purchase goods but the Bank of England decides they won't release Venezuela's gold. So now they are screwed.
I pray for the people of Venezuela. The previous dictator ruined their beautiful country. The current regime blocks the roads to prevent humanitarian aid from reaching the people. Ridiculous. The US has sent an Naval hospital ship to help some of the people. The US and many other countries have sent aid, but the regime blocks the roads and won't let the aid in. Newsflash. America now exports oil after decades of only importing oil. We do not need their oil. They need the dollar value of the oil to go back up so they can support socialism style government. Trump freed the US from needing foreign oil. American ingenuity at work. The land of the free, home of the brave. MAGA.
I feel so bad for that poor woman whose husband, son and brother were arrested. I hope they let them go free.
These are poor people. I hope they will find democracy one day.
rivierarocket, Democracy is not for every country and the ideology of democracy means and practice differently among democratic countries.
The people need to ride up and take their country back!
But honestly, what can they do? Their inflation rate is 200,000%. Their economy is basically nonexistent. Survival of the Fittest. The only thing that will help is imperialism.
9:40 this video is 2 years old and Maduro is still in power
Can we have some low angle shots and some drone footage with dramatic music so that it looks genuine... I am giving ideas so that these propaganda video can be improved ...DW ...you can thank me later
Thank you for producing news on this. There has not been enough, despite Venezuela’s terribly challenging conditions which the world needs to see and understand.
God bless and good luck
humanitarian aid should not be politicized!!! given the aid to the opposition says it all.
Don’t you just love ❤️ socialism
Who doesn
LONG BEACH VET 310 bernie 2020!
Oil/No oil, I have clients every week from Venezuela and South America and their families have no food and people are starving. The aid is for the people. Meanwhile, Maduro watches his people starve??? What kind of leader is this? And when I ask these clients, why dont people grow food? Have chickens? They tell me as soon as you have something the government "appropriates it" WTF??????
This should be more than enough reasons to not vote for liberals or democrats
#HandsOffVenezuela
DW! You could do better propoganda than this one.
She was nice and beautiful, welcomed the world for a very long time and now she's traumatized...
2:53 omfg I feel bad for laughing
same here 😂
Well venezuelans average iq is 84😂😂
i would like to start a charity to help the people of Venezuela in this crisis but i don't know where to start, can anyone help with this or advise me how to go about it . I hate to think these people are starving to death.
The Chavez/Maduro people believed that the money from oil sales would be enough to make everyone rich. For just a little while it worked, a blip in time while oil prices were high.
that wasn't the biggest problem. The US just used Venezuela since Hugo Chavez became president. Btw don't forget the corruption too....
I’m not from Venezuela, this country is BEAUTIFUL AND RICH, people should work from free among each other especially the engineers who can work on petroleum to refine it, and the farmer on there farms with the help of all VENEZUELA people they can make this work if all people agree to work for exchange goods not money..
"We buy hair!"
Wut. What could you possibly gain from buying hair?
Ever hear of a wig? They are made of hair. Now you are fractionally more intelligent than you were,
"Analysts say corruption is largely to blame for Venezuela’s growing crisis over the last four years."
Analysts say blood loss is the leading cause of passing out from injury.
Great. We now have a full understanding of the problem and the solution. /s
Can someone give us the details of the US sanction and whether it impacted the food and medicine shortage in Venezuela.
@@walden6272 Interesting analysis of it, why has the Bank of England got Venezuelas gold?
@ 9:45: The very best comprehensive Answer and or explanation as to why this on-going Cluster F@ck exists.
Please! It's all about the oil. The US wants the oil.
and the rothschilds want the venezualan central bank
No we don't.
I’ve seen many people say this is one sided without providing explanation. Can someone explain?
Guiado wants to make another Libya. Who are you people fooling besides yourselves
I hope life improves soon for their people.
Why? They're the ones who voted for Maduro.
@JimboParadox
No. Maduro's policies ruined Venezuela.
Oil!!?? Who said anything about oil bish you cooking lol
its gonna take decades to get venezuela out of this nightmare
Liberals in the Us, want this
Well we saw how this worked out
Gauido is their only hope now.
@@cesars.henriquezhernandez44 Maduro doesn,t even have a H.S diploma or equivalent G.E.D. :-(
The struggle may be real there but ametica needa leave it alone. Let them have their own revolution. We did
If America removes their sanctions, Venezuela economy will bounce back quickly.
@@walden6272 Ehm no. The first sanctions to the Venezuelan economy, the country itself happend in January2019. The crisis (economic and humanitarian) started waaay before that, our econmy has been screwed since several years ago. Crisis has nothing to do with any sactions, there is no actual correlation between them. All the "sanctions" before January/2019 were directed to individuals, some (corrupt) persons got their personal millioner bank accounts in the us frozen, that's it, nothing that affects the country.
Yhe RICH people have no souls... well some.. i NEVER met a nice RICH person.. in my life yet..
After WWII, the german civilians were starving in Berlin. The U.S flew convoys of bombers dropping food to the population. If the U.S wants to help Venezuela, they should do it again, along with donations from other UN countries and Anti Maduro countries. The world should help them, not just the U.S. Fly that shit in and drop it where it is needed, the Venezuelans will do the rest.
