- While many will argue what's the toughest street car in Australia, it's hard to argue that MINCER, owned by Tristan Ockers, isn't king. It's been on the scene for nearly 30 years and has done more street kilometres than ya mum's school van. This car has done it all and been to almost every show in the country.
If you don't know MINCER then you've had your head in the sand. Luckily for you, though, it's headed to Summernats 36 where you can see it in in all its glory. Tristan has been doing plenty to the car ready for an insane amount of fat laps down Tuff St.

I'm from the US, so I consider almost anything a street car, but when the only fuel is methanol you lost me. Regardless it's more street in the chassis than most 👍

I’ve seen mincer in a burnout competition at Moruya.
I’ve been going to the Nats since 1993 (when I was 15) and it’s not really a Summernats unless MINCER is cutting laps :)

@thefinisher2010 I've had a car fail a pink slip for worn wiper blades so yeah it's pretty sus
You can engineer anything you want except for the blower out the bonnet, you just gotta do it right and follow the rules.
Obviously I’ve never seen his engineers report but given how old the car is and the resources he’s put in to it I wouldn’t be surprised in the least if the blower was the only thing not legal.
And if you pay attention he actually mentions that in the video, he makes the comment of doing drab week but taking the blower off between tracks, so it leads me to believe that may indeed be how it is.

@@robertmason2076 ,, you cant really engineer everything, there are the basic ADR 's that he has to comply with, , at a quick look, there is no heater box , fail, roll cage and harness, fail, ,,, and let's be honest, who wants to pull a blower on and off ? I have no issue with the build, just the bs that its street legal, ,,most cops will book you for an air pod , how long do you think highway patrol will spend looking at it b4 they start writing ?

I've got a mincer story from way back you boys will love this. This one time I was grinding up some steak in my mincer accidentally got one of my nuts stuck in it! But yeah we had alot of good times with that mincer over the years. Pure muscle.

Because “street legal” does not mean the cat becomes an efficient commuter car to be driven far distances. Street legal means able to be legally driven on public roads.
