  • Stop using a rear bag, sled, or shooting off a bench during your pre-season rifle training. Instead, get in the prone and use the gear you'd take on a hunt.

Assuming we are taking some rice to the hunt since we're filipino, put that in a sock and that's your rear bag.

I've been sewing some bags for myself, and filling them with rice.. 😂

Good video. If you're carrying game bags in your hunting pack, they work well too.

I also take a pint size Gamechanger with git-lite fill with me while hunting. Though I do need to practice rear tripod support because it seems like a great option and I already have a tripod.

I saw a little bag that slips onto your sling the other day have you tried one of those? Eric Cortina did a video on it. Good luck on the hunt

Try shooting off hand standing position with open sights. Practice on moving targets only. When calling coyotes, shoot only when the yote is moving. Take no standing still shots.

Why are you hunting at such long distances? Surely the main skill of hunting is fieldcraft and getting as close to your quarry as you possibly can before you take a shot? Anything above 200 yards is just target practice?

That's a big target for 600 yards. Shooting with no rear bag and at a smaller target, like a rabbit for example. The typical target we shoot at for longrange varmint silhouette at 600 to 611 yards. Separates the men from the boys. Good shooting though. Wind was almost non existent. Wish we had conditions like that over here!!!!

Kamusta pare. I personally like to focus on the reticle when I’m shooting for precision. But sometime, under time and pressure I’ll just stare at the target.
