I saw it on Saturday & I loved that, not only was it a full house but it was a mix of all ages, lots of families there to enjoy this, & yes, I know it's not the og '83 release which I was lucky enough to see back then, but I'll still gladly take this version over any Disney amateur hour Star Wars effort. It reminds me of the tagline on the 'Face your Destiny' poster for the old 'Super Return Of The Jedi' game boy that was out in the '90s, it had a picture of the Emperor & it said: ' The first time, you won. The second time, they won. This time...there won't be a next time.'

Disney’s “trilogy” cannot hold a candle to the originals or even the prequels. Those movies delivered one of the greatest storylines in cinematic history and Disney went the opposite direction. Anakin Skywalker destroyed the Sith and brought balance to the Force. Not some random scavenger who was able to fight a Sith Lord without any training. And she damn well could never destroy the very thing Luke, Yoda, or Mace couldn’t. Return of the Jedi is the true ending of Star Wars!
Had to return my tickets once I discovered it was the special edition. Fortunately I have the 2006 DVD with the OG cut. I didn't hate every change Lucas made, but I will never listen to Jedi Rocks, or see young force ghost Anakin, again.

If you notice closely, this is in France. There are French subtitles in white, above the big yellow letters. Things like "la galaxie est menacée par l'empire du mal. Luke et d'autres doivent sauver les plans secrets". I was like "Ahh, this is France!". That should have been in the video title, French fans need some love too.
It's still George Lucas Star Wars. Fans caught in that "Screw the special editions" action as if the Original Films are YOURS. They're Lucas' and it's not like he altered the story, he just altered the effects.
I don’t personally mind the Special Editions being a thing (I like some of the changes), but what I don’t like is the original versions (my preferred versions) not being officially available in HD.
I will not support Disney who had absolutely nothing to do w the making of the iconic film that is legendary. So if I want to see it ,I hav my dvd copies to enjoy put out by G Lucas not Disney who ruined the 3rd installment SW trilogy and for those who paid to see it are traders

Old Anakin is horrible, Hayden Christensen is Anakin, he is so iconic for the mayority of people at this point.
