Oh Annie I just love the dangler series. This has gotten me back into creativity. Started a few nights ago, sat watching tv, stitching away. Will be putting these on my new Christmas tree.
Ah that's brilliant Johnny, I love to think of you hanging your danglers on your new tree!! Very happy to think it's inspired you to get crafting again :)
Just came across your channel from Pinterest and WOW as soon as I saw all of your gorgeous things on the table I'm hooked, they are divine and I want to make them all. Thanks for sharing xx
Can’t believe seeing your video Annie, I’ve been making so many decorative balls recently ( great minds ) it’s been very therapeutic whilst I’ve been unwell. I do make mine a bit differently, I think everything you’ve done is fabulous. x 💐
Hi Jen and Annie, you guys sound so lovely ! ❣️. I hope we get to see your combined creations ☺️😍. Thank you for sharing your talents with us… Leonie in Australia
Your video was a lovely surprise pop-up on my feed this morning and I found myself liking and subscribing within the first few minutes!! Then I watch the video and found a bounce of excitement within myself that I have not felt in some time. I can’t wait to pull out my scraps of fabric and start making this little gems…. I’m tempted to get more scraps just looking at the treasure trove on your table… I know I should just thing about cutting up my saris that I no longer wear (I’m Indian & now disabled so walking is challenging but walking with lots of fabric flapping around my legs might just be asking to fall 😮. Seeing all the fabric pieces on your tables remind me of a trip to Rajasthan for Indian wedding clothes shopping. Thank you for a fantastic video and can’t wait to check out the rest. I need to do some work first but now I have something to look forward to after work. Varsha 💖✨🙏🏽🫶🏽
Ah thank you so much Varsha, your comment has made me very happy! I know that feeling when you get inspired by fabrics, or a video, or an idea and you just can't wait to get home and try it out. How lovely that you have saris you could use for slow-stitching projects - a shame to cut them up in a way but this would be a different way to use and enjoy them. My Mum was anglo-Indian, she had two or three saris, but sadly I don't know what happened to them, I would love to have them now and do something special with them. She brought back two Rajastani puppets from a trip to India some years ago, I still have them, but nowhere to display them, they're really beautiful. Please do share some pics of your projects, I would love to see them. Thank you for subbing and happy stitching :) xo
Lovely little balls. Made one of the bells and have started a ball at the end of teaching, was a little busy but had time for sewing was a lovely chatty class.
@ aww this would make class supper fun for me and supper easy you could be teacher! Keep getting told how awesome I am kinda embarrassing I just go red know and say thank you, lol. Tomorrow I am going to be a tutor in adult art class for the morning! Yep stepping out in a big way, I am usually a pupil and just play and have fun with a few arty friends but all but one tutor is away so I am stepping up, I so wanna be the fire warden! lol defibrillator is over the road at the local pool so wanna run a fire drill and just have fun, could get a few of my friends to join in we would have a ball, yep can so see this but alas think I will have to miss out on this still a girls gotta dream though. Have a great week .
Thank you very much, I hope you'll enjoy the rest of this little series too (squishies and tassels coming on Wed and Fri and then I'll be putting them together at the weekend) - they're a great way to use all kinds of scraps, old clothes would work really well too. Please do share some pics if you make some or gt your students making them, I'd love to see :)
Thank you Annie for your video and great idea. I am doing my best not to link these to your other project we bring up a lot on Saturday lives.😂😂 Seriously though I can see these in the beautiful jewel tones of Bazaar fabric strung up in garlands ,simply glorious.
Thanks Carol :) I just did a great long reply and lost it when the internet died, now what was I saying ... firstly, I know exactly where you mind went Carol!! and then I was rambling on about festooning my craftroom with colourful twinkles, oh and trying Amo's idea of making little twisted ones, like humbugs, must try that. Can't remember what else I was waffling on about :)
Hi Annie, greetings from OZ 🇦🇺😎😍 Its uncanny how these videos pop up when you need them xx I was playing & sorting my craftroom yesterday, yet again ( as we do ), & I came across a container of beautiful silk scarves I used to buy when I came across them, the colours are so beautiful & now I have a project to use them for thanks to you...xxx I'm excited 😁😁 Your shapes are so lovely xxx At the moment I am thread painting & beading some very colourful 8 inch mandalas I cut from a long skirt I bought for $4 from an op shop. I cut out 20 (8 inch) & 25 smaller mandalas & they are turning out so lovely xxx I've had many 'oopsies' with the seed beads, lots ending up on the floor, at one stage I somehow ended up with a few up my pyjama sleeve ...... go figure !!!!!! 😂😂🤣🤣😂 All part of the fun xx TFS XXX love & hugs 😘😘😘
oooh yes, silk scarves would be perfect for this, great idea Pauline! Please do share some pics when you make yours, I would really love to see them :) And the mandalas sound amazing, op shops (charity shops here) are such a great source of fabrics you can reclaim/upcycle - that's a LOT of mandalas, what are you planning to do with them? Please share some pics and tag me so I don't miss them, I'm intrigued :)
@artyfartyannie Hi Annie, I want to stitch them onto a blanket and maybe sew one onto the back of a denim jacket when I find one & sew one onto a calico shopping bag xx I don't know how to share photos ... sorry xx Thanks for your interest 😘 ☺️ xx
You can share them in our free Discord community or Facebook group Pauline, or if you prefer, you could email them to me (all the links are in my linktree in the description box)
Lovely balls with your scraps. I have a very tall glass vase with loads I made some years ago which were then in a magazine article. Theres even one totally covered in sequins. I also had a beautiful piece of Indian ribbon which I made into rectangles but offset the end seams like a humbug before hanging them in my doorway.
Great idea, thanks Amo, I'll do the last few humbug-wise, I bet that looks really cool. I've just had a quick peek at your channel, looks really interesting, so I subbed and I'll be back for a better look later :)
Very nice....I have already started making stuffed ornaments like this, and I did think of embellishing them with embroidery, beads, and ribbon roses, etc.... but I hadn't thought of slow stitching.... what a great idea!!!! Thank you!!! ❤🎉
Another rabbit hole for me to fall down. I might make a few balls for my cats to play with as they love to pat things around the lounge and most of their usual ones are lost under my very heavy sofa!!!!! I’m looking forward to seeing how you make the bells they look amazing.
Thank you Tori, I'm glad you like the idea, these are quite addictive to make - I've had a suggestion to use the suffolk puff makers, so I'm going to try that, it worked well for Granny Sue. I'm even thinking tiny ones would make fun necklaces :)
Yes they do, but you need to email them with what you want, then they will quote you for postage and invoice you if you want to go ahead - if you try to order int he normal way on the website, the system will say they don't ship to your country, but they do. Obviously the postage will cost more, but maybe if you get more bundles it will work out better value, I know people have ordered from US and Canada and been very happy, as they've posted pics in our Fb group :)

Laura, I don't know if I mentioned it in this video, but Bazaar definitely do ship to the US, members of our community in the US, Canada and New Zealand have shared pics of Bazaar packs they've received and been very happy with. Thank you! I find it much easier to stitch into them once they're made up and you have something to hold onto, and the straight stitching all around once you've gathered up and stuffed the ball, helps to firm up a nice round shape too. If you did the stitching before gathering and stuffing the ball, your stitching would be distorted or lost in the folds - you really need to do the decorative stitching last. I guess you could embroider first for the bells and squishy shapes, but I can't see an advantage to doing that, for me it would feel more fiddly - but you could give it a go and do let me know if you find a better way, I'm always open to suggestions :)

Ah yes it's a shame about the cost of shipping. Might be more worth it if you were having more bundles??? I know people have ordered from US and Canada and been very happy with them. It would be worth loolking to see if anyone over there is doing something similar, please do let me know if you find someone , I would be happy to share it in a future video :)
@ I’ll look. It’s a minimum of $50 to ship. Ouch. I don’t know of anyone else in my area. And honestly, since I only hand stitch, I can’t justify it. So sad though. Their stuff is mouthwatering
I tried a first ball, very small, and decorated it with some miscellaneous beads! Oh boy, how many did it need ? But it looks pretty and will go on the Christmas tree. Thank you.
I'm so happy you enjoyed making one of these - yes indeed you could fit loads of beads onto these, but that's a bonus for me as I have loads to use :) Sequins cover the space much faster, I just dotted them around though, spaced them out a bit :)
Hi Kathy. I didn't make the ones that I show here, they came in with Bazaar scrap packs - but I have made them, they're pretty easy and a good way to use up scraps of felting wool from other projects. They way I've done it is to start with rolling up a little ball of wool (ie roving wool used for needle felting), start stabbing into it to firm it up and keeping adding more layers, stabbing as you go, until it's the size you want. If you keep turning as you work, it helps to keep the ball shape. You could use waste bits of felting wool or even orts or knitting wool for that inside ball, just keep adding layers of the felting wool on top of it. You can create patterns with different colours on the outer layer too. I believe some people then put them through a hot wash to further felt the fibres together, but I haven't actually tried that myself. Hope that helps - I'd love to share some pics if you have a go, youcould share them in the FB group or Discord community, linktree is in the description :)

How do you make felted beads?🐹
Hi Kathy.
