      ☺️ thank you. I am learning every day that the key to avoiding mental burnout is simply doing what I can, when I can and not feeling guilty about it.

    Thanks for doing this fun video - even though you weren't 'up' for it. Sorry for your loss. It's a big one. Maybe Mom is watching and sending her love.

    This is a great way to use up scraps. A baseball sized one wrapped in metallic threads would make a unique and I think a beautiful Christmas ornament👍

    Thank you for sharing your heart! That was a precious gift you gave us. Grieving is a long but necessary part of losing someone we love. You don't need to ever apologize for that. I'm sending you a hug today.
    The beads are AWESOME, by the way! My mom's quilting friends send me all their scraps... we're talking EVERY piece, no matter the size. I think I'll try some fabric beads tonight! ☺

    Would be beautiful in a large clear glass vase! I was wondering, since these are scraps, can you start your base off with dryer lint? I've made beads with lint. Depending on the clothes dried, you can get great variations of colors. Reds, blues, etc. Very relaxing to watch your video and lovely results! Always think outside of the box and recycle as much as possible!!!

    Wow, this is a great idea! I can think of so many uses for them! Heads for rag dolls or ornaments, flattish ones can be used as buttons, and many can be used as pompoms making dangles or sew them along the bottom of cotton lace for trim! Thanks! PS, I lost my Mom in August 2022, so I know..... ;)

    I grieve my Mama still and she passed in 2011. I think grief particularly is something that we need to address, acknowledge and honour more in our society. I hope 2 yrs on you are doing better, time does help, but we are never totally healed. It was wild hearing you sigh, you exhaled so many times and I remember that well, the need for release. It's like our DNA changes or something...I was just looking to see if I was making these correctly as I just "WUNG" IT lol but I am so glad I found your honest and real vid. Honestly, in 2024 I think we should all be as authentic, even in production as we can...the more truly HUMAN we are online, the more we counter the more and more influx of AI generated content. We will crave each others' stories. Cheers.

I know that it takes such a long time to ever be able to feel any where normal , I think so much of my family I talk to them and know that they are there it’s been 15 years time has made things softer and crafting has been so helpful I hope you are feeling easier in your grief. Thank you for you video

    I can see making little Christmas ornaments for a small tree, or long garlands for a larger tree, and they would be sparkly if you used gold or silver thread, or shreds of lame fabric or other sparkly little things with your holiday fabric scraps. Or you could use non-sparkly ones if you have a "primitive" Xmas tree and decorations. A longer garland of these would use up a LOT of scraps.

      I thought of a bunting, keyring or purse charm after I was done filming. Lots of uses.

    • @bettiej5762
      @bettiej5762 2 роки тому +1

      I love the idea of using sparkly thread! I have a collection of metallic threads that get shredded easily if I use in my machine or just the friction of hand sewing, but using them to wrap these cute balls to make decorations would be a great use of them. I could see making a wreath out of a huge collection of these! You could use pastels for Easter, they look like little bird eggs. You could spray paint these too for a fun project. Small ones could look like Holly berries for a Christmas wreath.
      I’ve made a few with fabric-wrapped cotton balls and beaded them with seed beads. I’ve used these as a large button on journals with an elastic hair bands as a closure. A sewing needle goes through the cotton a bit easier than the fabric confetti but I love the idea of using up tiny scraps.
      Thank you for this video!

      @@bettiej5762 A wreath! What a great idea. That would also use up a LOT of scraps. :o)

    I thought the low lighting and natural sounds added a lot to your home spun craft video! I subscribed today as the whole video and it’s organic style was so refreshing! I love these beads . The metal bowl you had your thread in was a great look too. It reminds me of women crafting in the old days by candle light using what they had! You couldn’t have paid for a better set design for this video ! I throughly enjoyed the visual and content!

    Totally Awesome idea! BEE-utiful beads, this would be great to add to the paper beats that I create to put in tassels and other things for my journals. Nothing better than a recycled project especially one that's this pretty and that could be used in so many ways. Dollar Tree sells Beacon Foam & Poster Board Adhesive, in a 1.75-oz. Bottle. It works just like Beacon Fabric-Tac. They also sell those mats in a 2 pack.I shared this wonderful video with my friends. Yuki is very cute I used to have a cat like him that had one green eye and one blue eye. Hearing family noises is not a problem that's part of having a family no one should have a problem with that you're giving them all of this information freely. It's like visiting with a friend you have fun you get to see what their home life is like you get to meet the pets in the family. It's all good. Positive Healing Vibes sent your way my Sweet Friend! Please don't ever feel you have to pretend sharing is healthy healing. My daughter decided to become an angel at 32 years of age, 12/17/2011. They're still lots of times that I have to pause and take a moment sometimes even a day or two. I have to remind myself of all the beautiful memories, she's our angel, sometimes it doesn't help even when I remember these beautiful gifts she left behind. Take care of yourself first.
