I bought a Speed Queen because Maytag is just a brand name and no longer is as reliable as the previous generations of washing machines. I think if they'd just kept building reliable washing machines rather than trying to acquire too much, then they would still be here today. So, so much for keeping up with their competitors. Speed queen is winning because Maytag is rubbish these days.
I was a servicer for 20 plus years I miss them. They were great to work for.
