100% keep up the colabs and info packed vids! You're currently bringing a quality and energy to fly fishing vids on UA-cam that has been previously lacking. Keep up the good work 🙌🏼 think a trip to one of these Welsh waters is in order sometime soon for myself
It’s goodnight from me and it’s goodnight from him... My new favourite double act! I’ve watched both parts and as usual boys it’s first class content and equally as good entertainment. Rhys well done on the slight of hand moving that fab to your left hand in the draw in Part 1 and I’ll let you off foul hooking the first fish seeing as Lyndsay was getting them trawling at the end 😂.. Brilliant boys please keep the collaborative stuff coming, really enjoyed it! 👍👌
Just got to say Rhys, I've been fly fishing since I was around 10 years old, I'm 28 now and currently doing great, I lost slight interest a few years ago mainly due to not having any fishing buddies, since watching your videos it's give me a spark to get out there and try new methods which I was never taught! I tried a few washing line methods last weekend, 5ft/5/5 using dawl Bach's ect but didn't have much luck, but onwards and upwards try again next weekend, point of the story is thanks for actually taking your time out your days to bring us fresh USEFUL content every week. Keep at it buddy and recognition wouldn't suprise me 📺📺📺
Great video and really like seeing the two of you having a great time! You’re too hard on yourself when you lose one, if anything it proves that you’re like one of us rather than a detached superstar!
Hi Rhys As I said on Lindsay's half, excellent videos Loved the drone shots, and some excellent other footage. These collaboration videos are definitely the way forward, allows for different ideas/techniques and a bit of banter Well done both
Great idea guys. Aerial shots are spectacular. Music is brill as well. Great quality videos. Really like the set up parts of the videos. Its easy to sit down at the vice and tie up some nice flies however the next part of the jigsaw is how to fish them correctly i.e. depth, speed of retrieve, cast lengths and dropper spacings. You guys are great at giving us advice on this. keep up the good work. Thanks for the tips. 🎣👏👍
Great video as ever Rhys, how about teaming up with Hywel Morgan ? Two great fishermen together ...surely there’s a TV series to think about with Jer included obviously!!
Eyebrook is a gem of a fishery plenty of history. The two part video was great, all you need now is to have Steve Cullen along to target specimen trophy fish and Davie McPhail to tie the flies.
@@RhysFishes well it's going to happen, you've a few followers, can i suggest something for your tutorials? When you describe a rig would it be possible to produce a diagram? I'm a visual learner and as well as the great description you provide I'd pick it up quicker if i could see what it looked like. A bit more work for you i know.
Rhys, love your videos cant wait for the next mate. In the future is there any chance you could make a video on setting up backing/line onto a reel? And maybe the importance of different leader types/weights, this would be a great help mate
Hi Rhys, great video! Got a question on the washing line dropper flies. How do you usually go about deciding whether to put buzzers, diawl bachs, cormorants or any other flies? Do you just try different combinations or are there any rough guidelines based on weather, fishing floating vs sinking line etc?
There isn’t anything definitive and it comes down to experience a lot of the time. Diawl bachs will be my first go to from spring onwards. Then buzzers and lastly cormorants. I’d expect to catch more on cormorants if there are relatively new fish to the lake. Whereas nymphs and buzzers will catch the naturally feeding fish. Diawl bachs will fish higher in the water than buzzers, so if you know the fish are in the top 2 foot. Turn to these first. Tightlines
Hey Rhys, How all is well. I was wondering if theres any specific books you would recommend about the psychology and behaviour of trout. And also a book about flies? Many thanks.
Love your vids loads of education. But I would like bank fishing or wading in a reservoir. Plenty of boat fishing reservoir videos but not so much bank. As many reservoirs. (Usk, llwyn on) etc don't offer boat and many others in Wales. Cheers
Hi Rhys.Great video. It is Paul from Two Novice Anglers here. As our name implies we are novices. Unfortunately, when we hook a trout on one fly of 3 or 4, we get another fly tangled in the net. Any suggestions?
Hi there , just a safety comment , how the heck is your safety aid supposed to inflate with the cameras straps fastened over it ??. Good vid , enjoyed the two of you having a fun time on the water.

Hi Rhys & Lindsay, Excellent video with some great footage and tips. Keep up the good work both, regards, Wayne😀👍
Thanks wayne
Great to see the collaboration and be able to compare different methods back to back (or side to side in the boat)
Glad it was helpful!

More to come!
Yes enjoyed the 2 of you but not long enough and more banter. Maybe an hour long episode next time 🤔😎😄
😂
Great collaboration guys!! Enjoyable video
Thanks for watching
Quality video Rhys bought myself a stillmaniac yesterday can't wait to give it a try. Will need to get my dad to tie up some of them fabs
Nice one
Eyebrook is a gem of a fishery plenty of history. The two part video was great, all you need now is to have Steve Cullen along to target specimen trophy fish and Davie McPhail to tie the flies.
And Jeremy wade to be the netsmen 😀
Hi pal enjoyed the video , my local fishery , can't fault it full of fish complements to ifor what a lovely place to go 😀👍👍👍👍
Great fishery 👍
Superb. More sea fly fishing needed, maybe a mullet sesh on the diawl bachs. The British bonefish challenge!
Is that possible ? Mullet on a diawl bach???
Another enjoyable vid, like the collaboration. How about meeting up with one of your subscribers and going for a day's fishing somewhere?
Cheers david. By coincidence I've actually met a lot of subscribers whilst out fishing at random lakes 😂

Sure thing
Awesome fishing guys
Thanks
Great episode.
Thanks Rob
Great video guys, very informative and excellent footage. I was thinking of giving Eyebrook a go in a few weeks since I have never fished it before 👍
Go for it!
Rhys what typical size. Buzzer do you use think im goijng too small
12 - 14 mainly Robert
Fantastic content boys plenty of fish on WL can’t wait for Chew and Grafham soon myself. Maybe see you down Garnfrrwyd local for me. 👍 Tightlines
Goodluck. Grafham is fishing well 👍
Cracking video lads. Well done.
5 thumbs down 👎 wtf is that all about. How could anyone not like the video.
Thanks Ben!
Great video guys, enjoyed it a lot 👍
Awesome, thank you!
Hi Rhys
Thanks for your informative videos.
Have you ever tried Blobs or Fabs tied with Veinard's Hackle Flash?
Catch lots
David
I haven't but I bet they work really well!

I was wondering if theres any specific books you would recommend about the psychology and behaviour of trout. And also a book about flies?

Unfortunately I'm not the best person to make a reccomendation, i grew up on the magazines and so never really got into books, sorry 👍
@@RhysFishes Hey man,
Not a problem. I appreciate you taking the time to get back to me. All the best 😉
Awesome videos 🤙
When you say 18.5ft of fluro and 3 flies at 6ft intervals... Is there some other tapered leader or poly leader involved at all?
18ft of 8.5lb fluoro. So 3x6ft intervals 👍
@@RhysFishes nice, cheers Rhys.
Good watch.Looks like have some focus issues ?
Thanks. New camera, getting used to it📸
@@RhysFishes Not knocking the footage just wondered if you chaps are seeing it.
Another great video!
What about doing a VS match at a venue you haven't fished with only 5 flies each? Good challenge?
We have something planned. Keep your eyes peeled 👍

Thanks for the rapid response. Also looking forward to rhys v Jeremy 3 😉
Rhys I think I hooked that fish at eyebrook last year as it snapped me off round the engine as well...
Poor angling by me there james 👍
@@RhysFishes I’m glad we share something ! I fished the blob and buzzer combo last night at draycote - caught a few and had a great session
Nice video, now have Lindsay show how to tie the blob.
Any videos on using a drogue please
@Tim Joyce Flyfishing-Essex has a great vid on it - ua-cam.com/video/MPpzLIzcb2E/v-deo.html
Hi Rhys.Great video. It is Paul from Two Novice Anglers here. As our name implies we are novices. Unfortunately, when we hook a trout on one fly of 3 or 4, we get another fly tangled in the net. Any suggestions?
Happens to us all and quite often on a boat. Ensure that there's enough spacing between flies (at least 5ft) is a good starting point
@@RhysFishes Thanks Rhys. That's a very useful suggestion.
Soooo green !
Hi there , just a safety comment , how the heck is your safety aid supposed to inflate with the cameras straps fastened over it ??. Good vid , enjoyed the two of you having a fun time on the water.
Fair point Andrew. Thanks for the feedback 👍
when you talking about short casts... how far are you actually talking ?
20 yards or so
@@RhysFishes cheers
A place I never fished while down living in London many moons ago but never say never is my moto
First visit for me Lawrence, worth a try when you're down that way next.
Nice video guys. I can do a collaboration with you Rhys. I will be the duffer not catching fish......
I doubt that on Elerdine
@@RhysFishes I have my moments. I reckon i would be buying the beers though....
Rhys vs Lindsay 1. Do a best of 3? 1 on each of your local waters and 1 random.
👍
Who won or do we not kiss and tell? 🤣
Pleasure day 😀
Hi I’m afraid it’s too much pretty camera and not nearly enough information I want to learn something! Sorry disappointed boys
Sorry to hear that Nick. If its information thats outgrown you, you may want to try another fishing channel that suits your needs 👍
