Lip Lift Recovery Time | Lesson Of The Day
Вставка
- Опубліковано 21 жов 2024
- Because I was one of the first doctor’s to do the Lip Lift, I had to teach myself everything that I know now in order to reduce the healing time significantly for this procedure. The healing time as it stands now is as follows:
You have stitches in for 5 days
The lip looks huge the first week
Half-way huge the second week
The lip looks normal by the third week, but it is very stiff and congested
At six weeks we do our first session of CO2 laser to help with healing and to reduce scarring
By two months it’s almost better
By three months it is better, although you still have some numbness
At three months we do another session of CO2 laser for scarring
From three months to a year you continue to heal and numbness becomes less and less
With all of this said, I do like to iterate to people that around week three after having a lip lift with me, you will look presentable and “restaurant ready” so-to-speak. If you have any more questions regarding the lip lift procedure, please leave a comment or question below.

Thank you so much for posting your videos I had this exact procedure corner lip too and I can’t smile big yet. My doctor never gave a hand out and granted I need to ask more questions the lack of communication is a negative. Thanks again!
Your work is the best out there. Exquisite.
Perhaps this could be added to the handout: 1. Do not watch videos of other lip lift patients - it can scare people when their healing journey isn't progressing as quickly as other patients. Example: 'I'm 10 days out from my lip lift and I LOVE IT! It looks so great, etc, etc,' when the viewer is at home resembling having the tooth show of a wild hare. So, although it is human nature to compare one's self to others, this can result in a lot of anxiety.
Tell me about it !!!! Absolutely. I'm on my 3rd week of a modified lip lift ... crazy ! Still not sure if I regret ... but it's getting better !
That’s exactly what I thought. The healing process differs in each patient and how our body reacts and heals. Now I’m on my Day 5 and I look like a bunny with my teeth showing.
I’m in tears at 6 days post op, not being able to smile , one side of my lip is larger.
Don5 take the lip lift lightly. It took me 2 years to heal, probably emotionally more than physically. My surgeon took more skin than I wanted (from 2.3 cm philtrum to 1.5 cm). At my age (I was 55), it was inappropriate. I looked like a braz doll 😱. I looked SO different and I wasnt ready for it. It took two years to map this new mouth as my face. And I think it did take 2 years for all swelling to go down because of former filler. I do think it pulled my nasal base was pulled down (skin only, I believe). Now, I only get upset about my lips when I'm stressed about something else in my life :) But no one looks at me like I'm a monster, so... it can't be that bad. Looks better on screen than in person imho.
I have the exact same experience. I'm 52, did a lip lift one month ago and I'm just in shock what it's done to my face. The philtrum is shortened from 2 cm to 1,5. I look ridiculous and I'm freaked out by it. I had some botox yesterday to try to lower the lip a little, but I'm afraid it wont settle down to a level where I can be happy about it. I regret this procedure so badly and I don't know if there's anything surgically that can be done to restore it.
@@evapedersen6410what is your face book let me take a look, objective from someone that has studied attractiveness, i will let you know how it looks to others
I had a lip lift in Spain, Seville almost 3 weeks ago and your technique was used. I wasn't prepared and properly informed about recovery. I got scared a lot of times.. maybe I'm still is but it takes time to heal and your video just helped me a lot right now!
@@mariaanjos998 muchas gracias
@@catam5001 me costó 1900€
Wow.im so impressed.if I studied w g at u said- I'd be fully informed .I'd love to study these different procedures
Doctor...
Are you able to do a minor Nostril Reduction, at the same time you do a Lip Lift?
Appreciate the honesty and education, little humility thrown in..:) Aren't we all learning as we go..? Def little less scared by your confidence, history, evolutionary-minded surgeon. Thx for making time to do little handholding, much to think about.I can read the tea leaves but think a detailed forecasted agenda for those of us traveling for only this procedure....you would need travel to CA these exact dates to begin, stay this long initially, if all went optimally, leave this date, back at this time for assessment, next therapies if needed....Would help to plan for timing, travel expenses, before spending $ for consult. Again, thx for time you take for educating as Cupid Lift Inc gets off the ground.
Have you performed lip lifts on celebrities, and if so do they have to go into hiding for weeks or months ?
Can youplease post a video showing each Lip Lift you mentioned.
i feel surgeons dont do enough to lift up the lip, I have done one and the change is minimal and they rip the 2500 dollars plus and then leave the client unhappy abt the results.
Noticing I can't curl my lip under my teeth (one month out) ...will I be able to in a year?!
Wow.thats all i can say❤
Hola, would love to see if it comes near me.
This is fasinating expensive life altering.😊
Ban the lip lifts
Why
@@ThotCrimes84 They are not worth the risks. Surgeons make it out to be a simple procedure when it’s not and don’t have the decency to turn patients away who are not candidates.
Dr Gary linkov performed a lip lift on me a removed way too much skin and now can’t close my mouth with horrible scarring. Don’t believe everything you hear on UA-cam
Dr. Talei , I was just wondering when you do a lip lift for a patient, do you put them on antibiotics? I’m asking you this question because there is a lot of bacteria in our mouth and I would assume that bacteria could get in to the cut itself even though it’s been sutured? I love what lip lifts do, by that I mean I like the look of a lip lift on people who have had the procedure.. Just curious that’s all. Thank you and take care Dr. Talei, Susan in Canada. I have actually noticed that people who have a lip lift have larger nostrils, so I can see that it does change the morphology of the nose ever so slightly. 👄
I just got it done 3 days ago and my doctor put me on antibiotics
@@євяѕтяєѕ Thank you! Are you happy with the results! Hope so!
I was out on antibiotics for a very short time
