I bought the plain acoustic version about a year ago, in black. All I can say is that... it's really pretty good. I compare it favorably to my Baby Taylor, which I've had over 10 years. For a travel guitar, the playability and sound are there. Fairly loud voice for such a small body. Especially for the price, I'd buy one again. The cons are so far the possibility of being difficult/impossible to repair, being injection molded carbon fiber filled plastic. Polycarbonate, I think. I kept it in a hot car several times this last summer to see if it would warp, and it survived admirably, with tuning stability being pretty notable. It's a bit neck heavy, too. Pros: The frets are impeccably done, better than many guitar I've seen new way over this price class. Overall, the workmanship has a lot of attention to detail, which is kind of mind blowing for an instrument of this price. Playability out of the box was pretty good. On the high side for my tastes, but would be perfect for bottleneck. I did lower the action at the saddle, which had plenty of height for lowering. Almost too much height. It's difficult to tell if the bridge is molded into the soundboard, as these instruments are painted in a way that makes them look like they're entirely one piece. A peek inside the soundhole shows the top and back are separate, as is the glued in neck assembly. The soundboard has a pronounced arch, which is pretty impressive from a aesthetic design standpoint. I don't know if it's supposed to be functional. It came with a pretty nice soft shell case. The fretboard is synthetic of some type, it almost looks like the frets were a prefabbed assembly molded into the neck, just because they're so perfect. I'm almost tempted to see if I could pry off a fret to see if they're conventional. It's truly difficult to tell on my instrument. Wishes: I think a bolt on neck would allow more adjustment. In some ways, it kind of reminds me of the old plastic Maccaferri guitar from the 1950s.
I just picked up this little gem and couldn't be happier! Watching this helped me decide to get it. I lowered the bridge a bit, and added new strings, now I can't put it down. Great video! :)
Yes the first version of the Nova Go had much more capabilities and included headphones and microphone for singing through the guitars electronics, they had two quarter inch jacks and three miniature phone jacks, plus the USB C connector. So now they make it less capable to cut costs. Even now the guitar case it come with is not as good.
Yes, you are correct, but the included extras were absolute trash, and essentially made it silly. I own both the older model, and the newer one, and the fret work alone on the newer models is better, not to mention the app actually works, the input jacks don't buzz, and the terrible underwater distortion has been removed. I actually had two of the older ones, back when they called them Nova Go Ai....The first one I returned thinking I got a dud. The second one was worse....I recently acquired the SP1 on super sale, and although similar, completely different feel and seemingly better build quality.
I just ordered mine today. Have you gotten it yet, and what were your initial thoughts when you played it for the first time? I'm really looking forward to playing this one.
@@fern5580 I got mine last week. I love it. The neck is comfortable like an electric, and the body is super comfortable. It's got neck dive though but it doesn't really bother me. The amp/effects are great. You'll love it. It's an awesome guitar to play 👍🏻
@@lisascott2841 That's awesome to hear. I'm still waiting on mine. What was a 3-day delivery has turned into almost two weeks. There was some issue with stock, and now it's coming from across the country instead of a warehouse four hours away. I'm really looking forward to playing it.

You're right and strangely enough, on the Enyo website, the guitar isn't even listed. I contacted Enyo support via email to ask what the deal was and got no response. So your guess is as good as mine. I wanted to get me one too😟
I learned many years ago - Price is no reflection on quality or play ability or enjoyment of the instrument. Have had em' all - High priced, Low priced & in between. Price usually made no difference. If you are a "cork-sniffing" guitar snob ,you may really miss out on a lot of enjoyment over the years, with sometimes excellent cheapo guitars.
And then there’s that little feature that’s sadly missing from nearly all modern guitars except some of the custom guitars - the zero fret! My old Eko Ranger has one and it helps the playability and tuning… and I’ve no idea why it seemed to go ‘out-of-fashion’.
Just got this from the wife, for Christmas. This is a GREAT travel size guitar. Highly recommend spending a little more for the electric version - the effects really fill out the sound, even when not wired into an amp.
Just got mine, the modulation effect is leaking across the chain and is subtely heard at all times through the internal speaker, even with a preset with all FX turned off. I remember reading a similar comment, anyone else notice that? Unuseable with that constant warble.
Just ordered the electric one...acoustic guitars are very wide for me. I have fibromyalgia and sore. I tought my self for my therapy. I will be getting this for my acoustic songs.
How is the recording quality using the instrument out? I have see a couple videos but could not catch whether they were recording using a microphone of the built-in electronics. Thanks.
People are assuming that being paid means an automatic favourable/ non-critical review. How about actually being super-critical to balance out the perception of compromise? That's what I would do, and I think, many others actually do.
Is the white color some kind of paint? Meaning, it could come off? If the black one isnt painted, could it mean it resonates better, with no coating to dampen the sound?
Isn't that basically a copycat of the LavaMe? Exact same idea, same material design and same included amp system. So what is the difference? Is the original still better or did Enya manage to create a better clone?
I’m out in Bali. Wanted a cheap, laminated acoustic electric while here. Bought a standard looking OM cutaway by Enya. Cost about 300 US. It has the same effects as this. Transacoustic style. Its beautiful to play, and sounds fantastic. The effects just make it a guitar you cant put down. You usually need to pay top dollar for a genuinely good sounding acoustic. The new Transacoustic tech makes even cheap tonewood guitars sound amazing. As long as its well put together and set up correctly, you don’t really need to pay a big premium for solid tonewoods. Laminated wood is generally more robust and stable, so stays in tune better in humid/warm climates. Highly recommend.
Harmonics don't ring properly on these guitars, apart from this they sound like plastic compared to a wooden guitar to me. And I understand the battery cant be replaced by the owner...that was the final nail for me.
BUT IT HAS NO PICK-GAURD. silly, the whole thing is made of pick-guard. I saw they had a booth at the '24 NAMM ... nobody spoke or visited them. They're all scared. All those artfully crafted and sculpted guitars at NAMM... I prefer my silver glitter topped ENYA. Even though the electronics were destroyed in shipping, I have a perfect acoustic guitar. I slapped some PLECTRUM higher gauge strings on it and never experience a better, more comfortable, better sustain, perfect size, and completely impervious to heat, cold, humidity, stays in tune, and the neck joint... there isn't one. If they ever offer the silver glitter finish again I may buy a second one of these. no other guitar compares.
I just got my black SP1. No fancy printed box and they changed the gig bag to a soft pile of padding with no guitar strap. All I can figure is they white-gloved the units they sent to UA-cam reviewers, but when a commoner orders on on Amazon, they drag out the Grade B units to fulfill the orders. Kind of misleading advertising IMHO. What y’all show is not what WE get.
