I just got in my Death Adder V3 Pro (in black) and I like it better than my Viper V2 Pro. It's more comfortable to be able to rest the underside of my knuckles on the mouse, and having it wider makes my fingers and thumb drag on the mousepad less. It performs just as well and I hardly notice the extra weight. If you are more of a "palm gripper" like me, get this one. A big thumbs up for this mouse!
I'm a dota player who started from Logitech G604, changed to G603. G502, MX Master 3, Razer Viper Ultimate, Logitech G Pro Wilress Superlight, Razer V2 Pro and finally Deathadder V3 Pro. Of all these, the one I have used the longest is the G502 because the shape is very comfortable in my hand. Yes, the G502 has a double click issue, but it can be solved by replacing the switch at a cost of 5 dollars. I still use the G502 today as a travel mouse. I still use the MX Master 3 as a work mouse. The Razer Viper ultimate lasted for 4 months with 3 replacements due to QC issues and defects until I finally sold it to my friend. Two thumbs up for Razer for the guarantee of unlimited new replacement throughout the warranty period, one thumbs down for the QC of Viper Ultimate. In terms of feel, weight, shape, and super convenient dock charging station, the Razer Viper Ultiamte provides a new sensation for me who started from heavy mice. If there were no issues with QC, maybe until now I would still be using the Razer Viper Ultimate. From RVU I briefly switched to the Logitech G Pro superlight which I thought was good, but too and the market was plain in terms of shape and size. And the good news is that so far there have not been any issues related to QC or defects on the unit I use (Finger Crossed). Even if there is, I am still confident that Razer Indonesia is still committed to providing an unlimited 2 year warranty for replacement new units. The DAV3Pro is expensive, it doesn't have a charging station, it doesn't have many side buttons, but the shape and feel of this mouse can't be found in many other gaming mice out there. This is the first time I am writing a review of this length because I think this mouse deserves praise. Well done Razer, keep up making good products and satisfying us as gamers. Personally I dig the flares. The one of the left doesn’t get in the way for almost any grip since your thumb doesn’t rest that far forward on the side. The one on the right they flattened out the under side so it’s not uncomfortable like it looks like it is on paper. I also find having the right side curve outward like that just wraps my fingers in a comfortable way for my palm/relaxed fingertip grip. I definitely do wish they would “round” the shell where the front flair/side panel meets the shell panel under the clicks similar to how the Zowie EC2 does since right now the flair is very “sharp” and a hard edge where it meets the front panel/shell part under the clicks. I really like how it feels topside because I have very wide hands and find most mice just are too narrow unless I claw them (not my preferred grip). With the classic DA shape my thick boy finger have plenty of room to relax, it’s very comfortable to me. I own the Elite, V2, and now the V3 and the V3 just isn’t for me - it’s a totally different shape. To each their own and all that, a lot of people seem to really love the changes. I think in a vacuum it’s a great mouse but it’s no DeathAdder. I think the V3 changes are for people that never liked the classic DA shape rather than for people that do - they should’ve branded it under a different name imo.

@@vaxyyfn4528 if you use claw, the dav3 is very comfortable as long as you have large hands. the weight is balanced perfectly and the quality is easily better than the gpx. it’s fickle though, as in, the mouse either fits like a glove or it isn’t as comfortable as you’d think. so if you can, try to test out a display model at best buy if possible before committing. if you like the feel in hand then absolutely it’s worth buying over an outdated gpx.
This mouse feels SO GOOD in the hand. Ergo for the win. I slapped the grips on it, and it's something else entirely. Moving from the Model O Wireless to this makes me regret all the gaming I did in the last two years on the O. Oof.....let's GO! Also, those skates on the stock DAv3 are STELLAR.
Understandable, bud. It took a little arm twisting myself. However, it's leaps and bounds better than the ModelO and I'd absolutely recommend making the jump, fwiw.
Loving mine. curious if you still are preferring this DAV3 shape over the Viper V2 for claw grip? I keep going back and forth between the 2. I have very similar size hands as you, 21cm x 10.5cm
What, if any difference is the top right side to the glorious model d. I have my fingers flat at the top almost like a 1-3-1 but my ring finger is slightly off the mouse 2. With the glorious mouse shape it obstructs allowing me to hit mb2 and the feeling of the button hitting my finger is terrible. Kind of like the mm711 if you get where I am going
Awesome mouse, always wanted a lighter, less "flared" deathadder. But really, I just don't think ANY mouse is worth $150, considering the wired V2 I bought was $37 dollars. Maybe it will come down in price for Christmas.
@@fraizie6815 Bluetooth sure, but it's performance oriented for low weight and bluetooth is extra weight. It's aimed at gamers looking for the best in terms of fps and those right-hand sidebuttons were getting in the way for that

the problem is that the end of main clicks are not rounded like in the ec series, i rest/overlap my fingers in that curve so the razer, glorious or other ec clones are to sharp at the edge of the buttons for me
if only they made a mini of this i’d buy it in a heartbeat, currently maining the Model D- wireless, I want better battery life and wireless tech. the Dav3 has both of them but its too big for me.
if you're way too used to the g403 shape, chances are you'll find this back to be too flat and slopey, since im 99% sure you love pressing your palm onto the really high and aggressive hump on the g403 (i was one of those people), honestly you could try a za12 or a za13 if you're looking for something that has a similar hump feel, it's the only mouse i can actually switch to
Absolutely love the mouse except my left button feels a bit mushy, the right one feels much more solid. Are they supposed to be roughly the same? I think I might have to return it. It doesn't feel like this is intended
can't wait for a mini version. i have small hands and i have never tried medium sized ergo mice due to availability reasons so i can only hope the mini version will suit me well.
as someone coming from a zowie s2, would this mouse be a good idea to cop ? it looks really good tbh and i’m tired of my zowie and wanna try something new
what would u recommend, based off price and specs? The glorious model d wireless or deathadder v3 pro. I bought a model d wireless and the size/shape is great for my big hands. Should I “upgrade”?
not sure to get the DAV3PRO or the VV2PRO? curently using the Viper ultimate, im ok with the shape but its not the most comfortable, i dont want a superlight not becuase of the shape, not sure which mouse to go with. Is the DAV3PRO good for fast mouse swings and picking it up etc, i have lots of control with the viper becuase of the shape, its just not that comforatbale.
Razer should make a deathadder v3 mini wired version and wireless version (deathadder v3 shape but dimensions of the deathadder v2 mini). And yes i love the da v2 mini it’s perfect for my handsize 17x10 and gripstyle of relax claw
da v3 pro vs the basilisk v3/ultimate? which is more ergo and comfy to hold? Could you also review the upcoming basilisk v3 pro ? and compare it with the Da v3 pro?
Could anyone let me know whether the DA V3 Pro is worth it over a Finalmouse TenZ if I have a larger hand and play palm grip? I would like to own a Finalmouse since it's supposed to be the best mice on the market but I also want to be able to use palm grip and it might be more comfortable to use the DA V3 Pro.
Hey boardz, hope you can answer me. So one issue I had with the old Deathadder was it split my index and middle finger to far apart giving me extreme finger pain. Don't have the largest hands. Would I with the new shape be able to hold them closer to each other.
I have used ambi mice for years now and have been thinking about going ergo to try it out. I'm currently on the Tenz Finalmouse/GPX Superlight. Would this be a decent mouse to try for my first ergo mouse?
This mouse has made it impossible for me to go back to the viper, and I'm very sad about that. I was so excited to use the viper v2 pro as my endgame. Decided to try this for funsies. Now I can't go back. The shape is just too good. The scroll wheel and side buttons are also much better than the viper, but I enjoy the mouse clicks and weight on the viper much more. Maybe I'll just keep both just in case.
Ok i have a serious question: The pulsar xlite wireless has a leftclick thats way too high up for me. Is the leftclick lower on this mouse? Meaning, closer to the mousepad. Thanks
Currently on an Xlite v1 and while I like it, Pulsar and their support has burned me multiple times. So pretty much as soon as the DAV3 is cheap enough I'm gonna get one. I think outside of not having bluetooth it's literally my perfect mouse lol, fixes pretty much everything wrong with my xlite (especially on the software features front).
It's a bit nonsensical to compare them. One is for lightweight gaming, the other is super feature packed but heavy in comparison. If you don't mind the weight and don't play FPS games much, you might want the Basilisk
Could you maybe check the click on the scroll? When I press I hear a click but won’t activate unless you press down harder. I main tarkov and I use this function a lot to free look left and right I just don’t know if it’s a flaw on my unit or it’s just badly implemented in the mouse.
Hey Boardzy, so I am a very fingertip grip gamer (model o & viper ultimate) and have been looking for a new mouse as of late and can only afford one at the moment to try. How would you recommend this mouse if I were to play claw/palm grip with this Deathadder v3?

I have small hands nd i play palm grip, i currently have the razer mamba elite. So should i get the death adder v3 pro or the viper v2 pro? I want the one closest to the size of the elite cuz its perfect

imagine complaining about price when you droppped 150 on a gpx lmao. the dav3 shits on the superlight and its not even up for debate brother
@@VVSPRINCE is it as comfortable
As the superlight. I already have a Super light but it’s getting old and worn and need a new mouse for Fortnite but idk which one to get another GPX or Deathadder V3 pro
@@VVSPRINCE thanks man
This mouse feels SO GOOD in the hand. Ergo for the win. I slapped the grips on it, and it's something else entirely. Moving from the Model O Wireless to this makes me regret all the gaming I did in the last two years on the O. Oof.....let's GO!
Also, those skates on the stock DAv3 are STELLAR.
What grips? Thanks
They come with some grips inside the box. I assume they're just the Razer brand, but they're damn sticky in a good way.
I am a model O wireless owner and you're making my wallet hurt
Understandable, bud. It took a little arm twisting myself. However, it's leaps and bounds better than the ModelO and I'd absolutely recommend making the jump, fwiw.
@@tambourking Yep but I have to say I do not feel athletic with this mouse. It might be going back, it's just a litttttle too big I feel.
Maybe it will come down in price for Christmas.
the price is high yes but that's the price you have to pay to get top tier tech
@@MadWatcher Removed features?
@@sebastianlaakso2729 Bluetooth and extra buttons
@@fraizie6815 Bluetooth sure, but it's performance oriented for low weight and bluetooth is extra weight. It's aimed at gamers looking for the best in terms of fps and those right-hand sidebuttons were getting in the way for that
@@sebastianlaakso2729 I know, though I think he's getting at why the Deathadder costs the same as the Basilisk, when the Basilisk has more features
I have huge hands will the death adder v3 be good for me I have the razer viper v2 pro and I feel like its too small and I can't play good
Deathadder v3 would be better for you. I have large hands, the v3 is what I’m back to using and it’s great
I own 4 EC2’s , 1 EC3C as a long time zowie fan I am beyond impressed with it. Perfect modern replacement finally!
Edit: plus 4000hz dongle! ec2 mains will love this trust me!
the problem is that the end of main clicks are not rounded like in the ec series, i rest/overlap my fingers in that curve so the razer, glorious or other ec clones are to sharp at the edge of the buttons for me
@@413fps thank god someone else has this problem , it really limits options in ergo mice which is why im using xlite v2
for now
@@vocalstv2442 yup, I'm waiting for the xlite v3 with no holes
Is that announced?
@@vocalstv2442 not officially but from some insider
There is 1 or 2 reddit post about it if you want to search
if only they made a mini of this i’d buy it in a heartbeat, currently maining the Model D- wireless, I want better battery life and wireless tech. the Dav3 has both of them but its too big for me.
Let's wait for the viper mini v2
Which third-party skates are closest to the original? I really like the originals but they wore out on my skypad and I'm looking to replace them
Do you think this is a good replacement for a g403 or g703 shape? I cant find a shape that works for me besides those but I want something a bit newer
my friend who uses g403 said that he hates the deathadder v3 shape because its not the same as the deathadder shape its just an ec2 clone shape
if you're way too used to the g403 shape, chances are you'll find this back to be too flat and slopey, since im 99% sure you love pressing your palm onto the really high and aggressive hump on the g403 (i was one of those people), honestly you could try a za12 or a za13 if you're looking for something that has a similar hump feel, it's the only mouse i can actually switch to
@@levii44444 I figured as much, thanks for the info. Yeah I really like the high hump of the g403. I'll definitely look into the ZA13
@@nf1 Viper Mini is almost exactly the same shape as the Za13 if you dont want to break the bank with Zowie's tax
@@NaPH273 as someone who has owned both, that is definitely not the case
Absolutely love the mouse except my left button feels a bit mushy, the right one feels much more solid. Are they supposed to be roughly the same? I think I might have to return it. It doesn't feel like this is intended
can't wait for a mini version. i have small hands and i have never tried medium sized ergo mice due to availability reasons so i can only hope the mini version will suit me well.
as someone coming from a zowie s2, would this mouse be a good idea to cop ? it looks really good tbh and i’m tired of my zowie and wanna try something new
Compared to the Razer Viper v2 Pro how does this one compare ?
hey does v3 pro is good for productivity and programming?
Whats the candle scent
what would u recommend, based off price and specs? The glorious model d wireless or deathadder v3 pro. I bought a model d wireless and the size/shape is great for my big hands. Should I “upgrade”?
not sure to get the DAV3PRO or the VV2PRO? curently using the Viper ultimate, im ok with the shape but its not the most comfortable, i dont want a superlight not becuase of the shape, not sure which mouse to go with. Is the DAV3PRO good for fast mouse swings and picking it up etc, i have lots of control with the viper becuase of the shape, its just not that comforatbale.
Can you do a review of the new gwolves gsk
Razer should make a deathadder v3 mini wired version and wireless version (deathadder v3 shape but dimensions of the deathadder v2 mini). And yes i love the da v2 mini it’s perfect for my handsize 17x10 and gripstyle of relax claw
Razer just give me a v3 mini!
da v3 pro vs the basilisk v3/ultimate? which is more ergo and comfy to hold? Could you also review the upcoming basilisk v3 pro ? and compare it with the Da v3 pro?
Ok, you just confirmed I’m getting this as well. I also have 21x11 hands and I’ve been looking for the ideal mouse.
Logitech G 703 x superlight??? Good idea.
Hey boardz, hope you can answer me. So one issue I had with the old Deathadder was it split my index and middle finger to far apart giving me extreme finger pain. Don't have the largest hands. Would I with the new shape be able to hold them closer to each other.
Definitely getting this to replace my model d wireless. Thanks boardzy!
How do you not have a mil yet wtf algorithm
How long does it take for Corepads to come out?
I have used ambi mice for years now and have been thinking about going ergo to try it out. I'm currently on the Tenz Finalmouse/GPX Superlight. Would this be a decent mouse to try for my first ergo mouse?
how to use the 2k pooling rate?
you need the hyperpolling dongle. goes up to 4000hz
video quality is god tier
This mouse has made it impossible for me to go back to the viper, and I'm very sad about that. I was so excited to use the viper v2 pro as my endgame. Decided to try this for funsies. Now I can't go back. The shape is just too good. The scroll wheel and side buttons are also much better than the viper, but I enjoy the mouse clicks and weight on the viper much more. Maybe I'll just keep both just in case.
Can you use the wheel as a button as well on the Razer DA V3 Pro?
does your left click feel different from your right on the v3?
Nope
Ok i have a serious question: The pulsar xlite wireless has a leftclick thats way too high up for me. Is the leftclick lower on this mouse? Meaning, closer to the mousepad. Thanks
Comparison to the MS Pro Intellimouse?
I can't seem to figure out how to pair the hyperpolling dongle with the deathadder v3 pro... Can I get some help
W claw grip and a 19x7 hand what mouse would fit the best? Anytips thanks
i see that aria box back there
what are your first impressions on it?
Shape feels like a bigger orochi, weight feels great, buttons feel fine. Seems great for $70 so far if you like egg shapes
When’s the boardzycon vid coming out
Why would you get this over the pulsar x2 though ? Literally 50$ for the brand
i play minecraft so should i buy it ? i thinking the model d will be a fit for me but can you tell me which mice better than model d wireless
Tbh for minecraft youll be fine with glorious lmao
Minecraft? Sell your pc and save money instead of buying a new mouse
Is this a worthy upgrade from the Glorious Model D?
august such a great month for mice like wtf at this point razer should just drop the viper mini wireless to end of the month
Is it true that you can’t click the mouse wheel anymore?
hey when we gonna see the viper mini v3 wireless? you think that will happens this year ?
i really do think it will come out q4 this year
Hi Boardzy, what do you do with these mice after reviewing them on your channel?
If I like the mouse I keep using it, in most cases I just put them on a shelf and keep it for comparisons/future vids
Got my Deathadder V3 Pro and it’s so good! Excited to see what you’ll say about the Kone XP Air, because it’s a different take on a Gaming Mouse 🤔
He reviewed the XP, and didn't ended up liking it.
I don't think there's any chance he's reviewing this one, unless Roccat sent them a copy.
@@MekaniQ if roccat wouldnt send him a copy then probably techne would cuz he reviewed 1 already
boardzy do u recommend the saturn for competitive valorant with consistency in mind
Yeah the saturn is very popular for val, definitely will be consistent and perform well
Are you gonna do a review on the Fantech Aria XD7 when it drops? With it coming in at $70, we might have a new mayor of valuetown.
What's a good mouse for a fingertip grip ergo mouse player with large hands. I'm using a g703 atm. I got the Razer orochi V2, but it's a bit small.
Just got it yesterday. Definitely best ergo of 2022, might be mouse of 2022 but too early to say😅. Have to keep testing it.
Thanks for the review Sir!, Can you also review Fantech Aria XD7?
Also burned on my xlite. The two year warranty is a lie.
@@tommylawler1128 What happened to yours? Was considering getting one but now hesitant.
Wait... is that hiw youre supposed to play microshot speed?! I always kept on flicking to a ball and go to the next one from there??
Completely unrelated to the product but when do you think endgame is gonna release the xm2w?
no clue bro
could you please do a comparison between this and the new basilisk v3 pro? Would love to know which is more ergo and comfy to use overtime
Im so confused lmao what grip are you using. If you play fingertip look into the pulsar x2 mini. The dav3 feels way different compared to the mice youve tried
I have small hands nd i play palm grip, i currently have the razer mamba elite. So should i get the death adder v3 pro or the viper v2 pro? I want the one closest to the size of the elite cuz its perfect
Any update on viper mini ultimate? Love your vids
Hey Boardzy, I’m just a bit curious what is generally considered a medium hand?
anything between 17-19cm long and 7-9cm wide id say
when is the new updated tierlist coming out boardzy?
Gonna get one of them out before the end of the month, probably mice!
Ordered the DeathAdder V3 and got the dongle on preorder. Maining a viper 8k rn and it's doing me good in Valorant and overwatch. Been wanting a new mouse and from the research I've done, this is the next mouse for me. They ship out tomorrow 😁
How is it holding up?
@@didaka8 honestly my hands are kinda small and they sweat a lot so it was slipping a bunch and I had to keep trying to get a good grip even after wiping. Maybe I should've bought grip tapes or something for it but I didn't. Honestly it just sits around these days. I use the Finalmouse UltralightX Phantom now, and it is the best mouse I've ever used. Mind you that I have at least 11 other mice in my collection. I love the ULX.
@@xtremefps_ Do you have the Superlight 1 or the 2, the Harpe Ace from Asus or the Viper V2 Pro from Razer, if you could share some opinion on any of these mice would be appreciated :DD
@@didaka8 sadly I do not. I have the og G Pro Wireless though. Safe shape but not the best for my hands. I do have the Viper 8k and I like that. Also have the G303 Shroud. Excellent mouse imo. Only problem is that since my hands are kinda small, they got sore using it. Would love if they made an 8k G303 Shroud mini, but that's not gonna happen cause it's Logitech. The Roccat Kone Air Pro is a good ergo mouse imo. Inadvertently I had also bought a Korean mouse that's basically a KPU/KAP clone, the Xenics Titan GT Air. I'd argue it's slightly better than the Roccat mice of similar shape. If you have other questions feel free to ask.
