For the average person, I like the Boundless the best. Easy value and manageable annual fee. For a credit card maximizers, I like the Ritz because it offers insane value and because it's kind of like a secret card.

I am considering the Ritz Carlton card. I have had the Boundless for a few years and ai have over $10,000 credit limit. I am just trying to figure out if I need the Ritz Carlton along with the AmEx Platinum I plan to get in the next year or so.

great video I really like the new card design I am thinking of getting the boundless card because I really like chase and I all so have the chase sapphire preferred how ever I do not get to stay at marriotts very often my parents and I stay at alot of hilton hotels they like hilton but I enjoy marriott better

I just got approved for the Boundless card with the 5 free night offer which is valued at 250,000 points or 50,000 points per night, after 5K spend in 3 months with a credit limit above 10K making me eligible for Ritz Carlton card upgrade a year from now 😊
That’s awesome! I saw that 5 night offer out! Another option would be to get the bold card and product change that one to the Ritz Carlton Card so you can keep the boundless and the free night reward!

Just started a new job where I’ll travel a few nights a month. Debating getting a Marriott card in addition to the Sapphire Preferred, or just keeping it simple and not having to think about the points. Would love any guidance!
I think the Boundless card is a good option. If Marriott is your go to property, I think having one of their cards is a good idea to earn some additional points. And at only $95 the Boundless doesn't have to big of a risk. An alternative would be the American Express Brilliant Card. While it does have a higher annual fee, you do receive Platinum Elite Status which offers a lot of benefits if you staying in hotels often.

Is it worth having my wife also get a Boundless when I already have one? Or should we consider another hotel card (Hyatt, Hilton, IHG)?
The Boundless is a great card. Super over powered. If you find yourself really only staying at Marriott properties, I would say get another boundless. But if you like stay with any brand, having a Hilton, Hyatt, or IHG card might be a good option. Also keep in mind that you can also hold all of those cards yourself! And still have your wife get another Boundless! Hope that helps!

Does the actual room rate have to be 50k or under, or can you use the 150k points at one time and pay off the rest if it's over 150k.
Each room redemption has to be under 50k. Unfortunately you can't use them all together. The only card that allows you to pay a remainder of the points balance is the Ritz Carlton card which let's you add 15,000 points to your free night reward.

Do you still get 17x points for charging amex brilliant card at hotel names that are under Marriott name ?

So if I am a Marriott Gold member and get this card, my stays will get me 17x ?? So if I spend $1000 in 3 nights, I will get 17000 Mariott points?
Yes. How it works is you will earn 6x back from the boundless card, 10x back for being a Marriott Bonvoy Member, then since you are gold status you will earn 2.5x back instead of 1x back if you only had sliver status. So for you, you'll earn 18.5x back. I know, it sounds crazy.
I only got an $8000 credit limit with excellent credit 😢
Is that card your first Chase card? Give it a little while, then request an increase.
