He was holding the sword in the Double Dungeon against the statues. He got the sword from the guy that ran away from the alter, hoping to take down one of the statues with him. The system absorbed the sword into his inventory because he was holding it.

The sword is the sword he have in the dungeon before dying so Jin woo is saying he doesn't know how or why is it in his inventory its the sword that the kim dude drop in episode 2 He is saying its 3 million and he can't afford it maybe he meant he can't pay it back if he broke it but he have no other choice but to use it now
He meant that he cannot afford it if he wanted to buy it (meaning he's too low income), as he compares it to the dagger he had in episode 1 that broke against the goblin
A1 PICTURES are the chosen ones for solo leveling, not mappa or ufotable, this is how you adapt a manhwa and webtoon into an anime, stick to the source material 😍
People sometimes forget A1 PICTURES are known for sword art online, but they are not known for masterpieces like kaguya, 86, seven dead sins season 1 and season 2 only and fate strange fake, people still believe mappa, wit studios, cloverworks and ufotable did these anime, when it's actually A1 PICTURES 😂😂
I genuinely had the impression that A1 is just lazy. They did make all those isekais and Persona 5 the animation. I never thought they were the ones behind Kaguya-sama, which is famous for its passion.
Just a note I noticed on further viewings... When in the instance dungeon, he pulls out a sword. He mentions that it looked like someone else's from the double dungeon, but doesn't question it further. What I realized was that everything left in the double dungeon was placed into his inventory, and like with the screens, I don't think anyone else could see the double dungeon because it was part of this same system, which is why they only found him in the cave and no dungeon. There's a similar note in episode 6, but I'll wait until I get there to note it.
The Hunters Association is in charge of ranking hunters ability. They deal with the registration, data collection and policing hunters. Like the Surveillance team that came to see Jin Woo in the hospital. The Guilds are like companies that hire hunters. The biggest guild have the strongest Hunters and rake in millions of dollars. To be picked by a bigger guild means better pay.
And that long Sword's owner is Mr. Kim not Sung Jin Woo. When Mr. Kim runway from The Cartenon Temple without completing 3rd rule leaving Sung and others because of Death, he forgot to take that sword. When sung said he will take at least one statue down with him and that time he had that sword . So pay attentio if not you will miss small details (sorry for bad English)
That sword he used was the sword left behind by his raid companion during the double dungeon. The same sword he swing around while the Statues tenderizing his meat. 😂
To rewawaken for everyone else in SL is to basically be like you never became a Hunter in the first place, you just get a free re-roll. With Sung, it's completely different.
I am very familiar with the genre called "literary role playing game" (litRPG). I don't think I've seen a single reactor to this series who realized the significance of the final seen of episode 1, where Jin Woo agrees to become a "player". Neither he nor the world at large realize it yet, but he is in a whole different paradigm than the hunters. A common trope of litRPG is for a god or super-intelligent & powerful galactic AI to "gamify" worlds, sometimes for the entertainment of more advanced races. They watch events unfold as if it is a "let's play". The System (whatever it is) which is in control was relatively easy on Earth. Instead of instant gamification where billions die the first day as monsters and aliens appear all over, Earth starts with the relatively tame portals and some people gain hunter abilities. But I'm guessing that is just the beginner's level. When full gamification begins, Jin Woo and hopefully others will be absolutely necessary to the survival of mankind.
I can't say anything about the government and associations. Because it may be explained in upcoming episodes. Just stumble to your channel while searching for Solo Leveling. As a reader of the Manhwa, thank you for the great reaction 😊
E rank is just a title, so if someone realises you have more power via magic metor (what they tested for in the earlier episode) then you can change your rank. Though usually no one (unless for a second awakening) can change their rank, though you can get retested. Or of course, whatever is going on with Jinwoo, though he is unquie as far as we are aware. So for example if I was level 44, I'd stay at level 44 (usually) (though I wouldn't be able to see what level I was at but I'd be judged on how much Mana I had, which would translate into a rank) and I'd be a certain rank, like a B rank perhaps or C rank.

No he didn't. He destroyed the Golem's eye in both the anime and manhwa and the lower hunters killed it after the advantage
