  • Just a fun timelapse video showing the assembly of Erica Synths' DIY Output II Module. Get one for youself here: goo.gl/Xb1KwF
What module should I build next? I've got a Mutable Instruments Elements, a borrowed Qu-Bit Nebulae, and now this output module. If you've got just too many modules laying around, feel free to send them to me. lol
I ordered just the PCB and panel from Erica Synths, then got the rest of the components from Mouser, but you can get a full kit from them if you want.
Just note that the PCB and panel only option DOES NOT include a knob, so you are going to want to get one from somewhere else. I ordered one that matches the pictures that Erica Synths shows from Modular Addict, but it hasn't arrived yet, so for this video I just stole one off of a Nebulae module.
The music is The Castle in the Air by King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, from Polygondwanaland, the album we all own. (Literally, it is free and anyone can make copies and sell them, or just do whatever with it) Unfortunately the video still has a copyright claim, which I don't really feel like disputing.

I built one of these and have a question. Do you hear noise with the headphones when you pass the 12 o’clock on the volume?

If I turn the volume all they way up I can hear a bit of noise, but not very much, and I can't hear any noise at 12 o'clock. What sort of power supply do you have for your rack? My first guess would be that noise from the power supply is causing the issue. If you have a way to measure it, ripple voltage shouldn't really be more than about 100mV, and if it is, that might be your issue, which might mean that your power supply is faulty and/or overloaded.

Hans Stahl the issue is not the power supply, was/is the smd chip that is very badly soldered. I retouched the joints and the noise at 12 o’clock is gone. I hope it doesn’t happen again in the future.

@@exapod23 Good info. I have just built the full kit and i get unpleasant snaps and clipping around 12 and further. The module seems very sensitive to the hot eurorack signal going into it? I will reflow the smd chip and see what happens.

Maybe before reflow try cleaning with some IPA/Alcohol/Flux remover.@@alanc6752
