I know it’s only his second goal but I’ve seen enough of him to think he is probably premier league quality, his body language his runs and his positioning is impressive. Watson looks like a brilliant player as well considering he doesn’t have the experience or minutes he looks like he’s played in this league for years confidence is flowing and the academy is shining, it’s a good time to be a Sunderland fan on the up!!!!
Glad to see dan neill responding with decent performance & getting Watford out of his system !!! And maybe he can go out go from strength to strength & turn his season round **
The biggest positives to come from that game is 3 points, clean sheet, another game where we've bounced back from a defeat which is good and we've finally took advantage of teams like West Brom and Blackburn slipping up and capitalised to go top of the table, yet to concede a goal at home which is quite impressive and most importantly we've won our first 4 games at home so already we're making the SOL at fortress which is what it should be, in terms of the actual performance if I'm being honest I don't think we've played really well since the Portsmouth win, it's like the first 4 games compared to the last 4 games is chalk and cheese, it wasn't brilliant but we got the job done and that's the most important thing, I thought we played well and had control of the game for about 30-35 minutes of the first half and about 10-15 of the 2nd half, in the last 4 games I do feel like we sit back far to much, against stronger sides I completely understand and away from home at times it makes sense but against a side like Derby I feel like with our quality we could've done a lot more, maybe we've got the Leeds game in mind that could've been a factor but at the end of the day we won that game cos we've got more quality than Derby, a fantastic goal by Jobe and a poachers finish from Isidor was really encouraging and good to see, in terms of performances this might be a shock but I'm gonna give Patto MOTM, I thought it was a very strong commanding performance from him and he made 2 vital saves, 1 in the first half right after we scored and 1 in the 2nd half from close range, he dealt with every cross well and he was actually doing the proper sweeper keeper role which is something I've always spoke about where he's normally to hesitant to come off his line and with Patto I want to see that more cos I know he can do it, also special mentions for Jobe and Isidor for the goals and Mundle was a constant threat all game for Derby, overall result better than the full 90 performance but it's a vital win and we move on to Leeds on Friday, bring em on HWTL 🔴⚪🔴⚪
Thought Dan Neil probably had his best game this season. Jobe is just a fucking Rolls Royce of a player, simple as. Mundle?… wow. Very promising. Toughest test is Leeds on Friday night. HWTL 🔴⚪️
Morning Marra, was at the match last night! Buzzing with result but really want yourself and others who can reach the attention of SAFC supporters to send the message about the issue of fans leaving the game so early! I reckon 80% of the fans left before the final whistle was blown! For me it was massively disrespectful to the players and club! The players had put on a decent performance and bagged 3 points yet there was hardly any fans left in the stadium to acknowledge this! What is so important to leave the stadium so early? I stayed till the end with my son (10 year old) and clapped the players until they walked off the pitch! I have work at 8.15am and am actually up now at 4.45am to go to the gym! I also travelled from Hebburn! It needs to be spoken about and stopped, I hope you and others can support this as everyone should get behind the lads 🙏
It was really annoying, I couldn't see a thing for the last 10 minutes from people crowding the stairwell next to me. I get wanting to beat the traffic and get home at stupid o'clock at night for a weekday match and it's not as if the players wanted anything else from that match but even still, it was an insane number of people leaving at 80 minutes
Jobe has been class the start of this season and tonight what a strike tell the lads confidence is really high and a great forwards goal from isidor got across the defender and a tidy finnish
Totally agree with everything you said there fella. In Isidor we finally have a ‘striker’. So pleasing to see him score, he’s visibly happy to be here. Rigg, great 1st half. Jobe, quality strike. Patterson, some excellent saves. Some of his distribution still scares the shit out of me. Mundle busy as always. Roberts disappointing. Dan Neil’s redemption game, hmmm, too many Hollywood passes that went to the opposition for me. Stil think Browne should’ve started ahead of him(which i’m sure will happen against Leeds). Hume suprisingly quiet(think he might be carrying an injury). Cirkin, Mepham and O9 solid. Poveda for me has just looked unfit since the day he arrived(look at the club’s ‘Access all areas’ video on here tonight, he’s yawning in the changing room like he had a big night last night). Not impressed, especially as i had Wednesday fans telling me about his injury record when he signed. The light show just looks like we’ve invested £2million on a big dimmer switch. A few red and white lazers onto the pitch would make it so much better. Very happy fan tonight though, who wouldn’t be? 🇵🇪🇵🇪
Class video, light show was good in person. I said to Mrs when I heard new lights getting put in, I said be a light show like some teams trying to do. I can send some videos taken, let me know where can post and you can see, however missed first 30.seconds of start which was okay. Not everyone cup of tea, let's see how it works Friday too
We also have some injuries in the squad too. It's very encouraging indeed, but it is early days. Leeds will be more of a test, I think. I think that Neil's contract situation and the captaincy is adversely affecting his game, unfortunately. Any news on Poveda? Great to see you buzzing again, mate!!
We had a stranglehold on the game after the second goal and ceded it. Granted Derby made changes and pushed up but they were decidedly average., Our passing was too ragged in the later stages We're better than that, After Boro one of the RR lads observed as a crowd we are being educated that we don't have to have so much of the ball, while Danny Collins observed thirty-seven percent possession is fine in some genes but forty thousand aren't going to happy with that regularly. Mr Collins is more astute. There was no need to play like Southgates England for the last thirty minutes. To be fair to RLB, he said we need to defend with the ball. Mepham was outstanding again.
Wilson loves it here,
after the game he was singing along to Wise Men Say,
this is a proper squad, a happy positive squad
and I facking love it
Isidor will be the solution to our striker problem, seems like a class lad too
He is both 😂
Wilson looks like a gr8 prospect for the season was very impressive home show 🎉🎉🎉
Great result for the entire team 👍
hahhah still love how happy you are as soon as the video starts after a win. Super infectious mate. Absolutely love it!!
We are gonna get a real Test on Friday against Leeds There's never ever any love lost when we play them So it'll be a fight I hope we're ready for 😮😮

Great win but I must add, that ref absolutely shite, something needs doing about poor level of refs training or whatever

Brilliant result but it was more than just the last half hour that we were poor. Isidor has me really excited, proper striker.

Poveda just seems like Bradley Dack 2.0. lasted all of what? Eight minutes.
He looks shite.
Isidor looks very impressive 👌🏼

Agreed, not at our best today in terms of hitting the target. Mistakes need to be cut out and we'll get another good win against Leeds.
Povedo has a sicknote history
Wilson again class love this lad.and jobes thunderbastard..great result if not the best looking one.thanks for another video mate.
Brilliant review Jammy! Top drawer stuff thanks mate
Nice one. I enjoyed your commentary once again
