@TheHeelProjectFootball no just wanted to make myself look like a football expert!! Love watching the non league teams playing in the fa cup and reading about them on Wikipedia
First time I've seen a video about this cup. I've been following this competition for years and wish that more TV channels would show non-league matches.
You can also get to Wembley via the FA Vase, an even smaller tournament for teams in tiers 7-10. Tiverton Town just down the road did this back-to-back in '98 and '99!
I don’t know how this popped up on the feed of a mid 30s Football fan from Australia but I’m glad it did. Top video Lad.. non league has became a bit of a passion for me.
I remember the 97 final going with my dad as a kid, scott "jinky" steele still has the fastest non league goal at Wembley and the 4th overall at 57 seconds against kiddy for our 2nd trophy win, its sad that the trophy isn't important to clubs as it used to be really, but yeah that 97 trophy final and the greatest player of all time pele presenting the trophy to clive walker was something i'll never forget
Love the video mate! But i have a grudge against weston cus they keep appearing on my football apps and FM saves with my local farnbrough so they've done me head in 😂
There were replays not too long ago. The semi finals used to be two legged, with replays after that if required. It's lost some lustre with the NL taking off so much recently. It's Alty v Macc in the next round. Come on Alty.
Loyal Radcliffe boro fan here, ridiculous match we had against Worksop, I love non league and implore anyone reading this comment to pop down to your local club
All nip to my local Conference club and current holders GATESHEAD, and yes Woking have won it three times ALSO Scabrough AFC before their current club now Conference North. NEVER put non-league on the telly as it is money for the clubs, if you watch it on the telly clubs will never get the gates and the clubs will cease why watch football at a windy rainy non-league ground when you can sit in the warm comforts of your home. Its the wrong thing to do get out there and support NON-LEAGUE clubs they still need the money, YES it can be pricy but its to keep the club goin.
Brilliant point, plus, there are clubs all over the place in this country. No matter where you live, everybody is within a walkable if not cyclable distance from a local team. I live in a tiny village in Devon, and when I'm not watching Exeter, Tiverton, Barnstaple or Torquay I just have to walk a kilometre to the village ground
You make a very fair point about the tele, however they will get some of that money from tv rights, it's a balancing act. More tv, more easy publicity for the club, more long term fans trying it and going down to a non televised game, but like I say, you do make a very fair point
@@dev0nSA1nt Totaly you cant moove for football clubs here my local village team is Percy Main AFC it literally two minutes on the bus or the same in taxi.
Great video, I love the Trophy! My local Grays Ath won it back to back in 04/05 - 05/06, Happy times!
I know you're a big fan of the non league! So much better than league football if you ask me!
What about the FA Vase??
What about the FA Sunday Cup??
What about it? Want a video of that one too? 😉

Hahahahaha I love the honesty 🤣
Cup for the bottom half of non-league football.

Dazn now show the NL and NLS/NLN but their pricey

Great video! Great competition!
Smashing video
@@henchest Thank you!
My team Harrogate won this in front of an empty stadium and held the trophy for only one week. Covid and all that.
Hashtag United played Brackley Town on Sunday in the FA Trophy and it was on live if you are a member on UA-cam so watched it live here in the USA!
Yeah Hashtag are doing great things, trying to break the mould for non league
95 subs is criminal

I follow the mighty stafford rangers we have won twice and lost once at Wembley 😊😊😊
UTFC 🌽 💛 💚
Good video. Is this the same as the "Papa John's" trophy? If not, there's your next video
It's not the same, but not a bad shout for a future video!
Thanks for reporting on non league and not the premier league! Great to support the non league pyramid! Maybe now a vlog from a non league game???
Check the channel, we've done a couple, we do a mixture here
aka Non League’s FA Cup
Hornchurch beat Hereford 3-1 nor Bromley
You are quite right, my mistake! I was probably already looking for my next fact 🤣
