What about engine failure? My 2024 Tundra Limited started skipping, because oil had gotten into one of the cylinders and fouled the plug. It only had 5,631 miles on it. No, I did not abuse it at all.
I have a 24 tundra. I like your channel. Keep us up to date on issues with the new tundras. I removed my active front air dam before watching this video.
@korbekleeninc.974 well I'm the 1% and if it's less then that why a 100k to 200k vehicle recall ? Because it's way larger then they let on. Did u know toyota changed the bearings in the 24. See the car care nuts video about it.
Had a 22 trd pro Condensation inside all windows, cheap plastic on driver seat, hybrid check light, 15 mpg, , total junk! Traded on Titan p4x , no issues and free 100K b2b warranty!
The good news is, it's a simple fix. It's one of those features that if they never equipped the truck with it, you wouldn't have to deal with this unnecessary light.
Nice! Just know those updates are available for your truck. You might as well get the latest software updates for the TCM. The reflash is covered under the 3yr 36k miles warranty
I have a 22 1794 long bed with auto leveling suspension. I like it a lot but still have wind noise at the RR door seal and an occasional dead pedal acceleration from a near stop. The latter has nearly gotten me into two accidents. Dealer said all the software was up to date. Hmmm.
Customer "complaints" may not be the best phrasing. People complain about all kinds of things, but that doesn't mean they're right. These are all legitimate issues Toyota needs to correct, not frivolous "complaints". Don't forget that the engine blows up and the wind noise is terrible, especially at high speeds.
I have a black 2022 1794 TRD package 6.5 bed biggest problem wind noise and driver seat leg recliner been replaced still doesn't work. Have to say dealer is working to correct the problems. Must say I love that truck !!! Cheers !
Most of these complaints are minor issues that are easily resolved. 24 model years should have the latest software and ECU updates already installed. I still think they're great trucks.
My buddy who has had Chevys, and Ford ecoboost pickups, bought the new Toyota. Hated it, poor hesitation on startup, and the recalibration did not fix it much. Traded it for a new Chevy, and took a bath on the trade as well.
Hello there, Question is it worth purchasing the 2022 tundra limited? Please advise if it is worth I am looking at the long run for example. The engine, tranmission electrical system.
They won’t they’re cheap seats. I had a mechanic tell me that Toyota is putting cheap parts in their trucks now they’ll never fix that problem. You look at the ram seat or the Ford seat. You’ll never have a problem with them.
For those of us who are previous gen Tundra owners, we aren't use to having these issues that are happening with this 3rd gen. My '08 hasn't had any problems in 16yrs, and it was an all-new design in '07. If Toyota don't fix these issues, the 3rd gen's reputation will be right on par with that of the Big3. Not acceptable at all.
I have 2024 tundra limited iforcemax with hybrid engine. I got a check engine light on at 1500 miles. It says malfunction in electronic control of the engine, throttle or automatic transmission. I am not an engine guy. Is there anyone else experiencing the similar problem? The car is at dealership for a week now. We will see what happens.
Mine are 3 things on my MY2024 1st : I get wind noises at 50 to 70 mph 2nd : Squeaky / Noisey Brakes at Startup 3rd : Noise from the crappy dealer-installed Cat Guard, they didn't tighten the bolts and now one is missing
Don't care if they're replacing the engines or not. Just a matter of time before the replacement engines fail. Not to mention the resale value on the new tundras are terrible.
You made it sound like the hybrids don’t have the deployable air dam? I think it’s just the TRD off road package where you don’t get the deployable air dam?
I have one issue with my 2024 1794 edition. I've been noticing a vibration(a hesitant and grindy type of vibration) on my steering wheel everytime i press on the gas when i'm in the freeway. should i be concerned?
What do you know about the main bearings going and locking the motor? I feel this isssues was never explained to customers. It's seriously keeping me from buying one. I think i may go 5.7L and eat the mpg. Did they fix this? Did they say why the main bearings are getting oil and causing these issues?
I have 23 1794 edition with trd lift im seeing alignment wear on tires at 9k miles but told its in spec. I was wondering is there a tsb or updated spec? Also have rattle in driver door window trim, my lower thigh support no longer functions on driver seat, it seems to idle a little rough also for being brand new my corolla with 130k on it idles more smooth, also feel a slight surging under light throttle around 30 to 35 mph as well as trans feels too soft in normal mode when its in sport mode it feels more solid and firm like i would think a new truck should feel any suggestions on these issues?
I bought 2024 Limited Trd when I get home, I recognized Clicking thicking noise on the driver side between, dashboard, and tires some where, when I was in parking on my driveway. The noise was coming from engine. ! The truck was Brand new I did 40 mile, from dealership to my home. And then I’ve just returned it and then I get refund wash my hands. Problem is not mine anymore. I have no idea what was the clicking noise they didn’t tell me after all so I just let it go. So yes shouldn’t be clicking noise elwith Brand new truck.
active grill shutters, active spoilers... just more unnecessary junk that adds to initial vehicle cost and then ends up breaking. even while under warranty it can be a real pain and disruption to your life to take your vehicle in for service. then in 3 years when it's out of warranty you're even more screwed. if you get in a fender bender it's more costly to repair, driving everyone's insurance rates up. this over complication of vehicles needs to stop.
You are spot on. The majority of customers do not care about any of those things. They do care about annoying malfunction messages being displayed on their speedometer.
Whatever you do don’t forget about the damn seat panels. They are terrible they’re cheap and they fall apart. I’ve had replaced three of them on my Toyota 2022 tundra 25,000 miles guess what I traded for a ram 1500. They are built so much better and they are stronger riding trucks more comfortable better ride better everything. Toyota has gone by the wayside. I’ve owned them for many years, but they’re cheap now and they’re not worth the money.
Don’t forget the window noise.
Check tremor forums same complaint
Zero issues with my 2024 limited 6.6 bed .. trucks pure awesome !!
Lol
Lucky
Don’t even start talking how great it is until you’ve hit minimum 200k miles
It’s a 2024 brand new!!!
And WOW!!! No problems???
I would hope a brand new truck wouldn’t have any problems! Duh!!!!
Stupid effing comment

Love my 2023 TRD Pro. Replaced the driver seat cover. Other than that the truck has been great!
I own one, 2022 sr5 and only got 17k miles on it, so far not experienced anything mentioned. Best truck ever for me.

Just because you havent experienced it doesn’t mean others havent. Ur comment is pretty irrelevant

New tundras are shit sorry but its

Might add tank reading full when it's not, and the seat is a defect, not how people get out, had a 2021 limited nothing but problems but a tacoma

Brakes still squeak after 12000miles

It’s the way Toyota put cheap plastic is the reason the seat molding breaks.
