Granular is such a weird synthesis type for me considering ive been more used to more of the older classic wave form type of synthesis. Having it added for free is definitely a nice little christmas present.
I LOVE this synth. The only thing I find a little disappointing is how the new engines only work on oscillator one, leaving osc 2 with the same small handful of useful engines while ocs 1 has far more capability. That said, I still absolutely adore this machine and i can happily sit with this for hours and never get bored.
I hear everywhere on the net about the granular engines. Okay cool but I’ve not seen any info about the update itself. Which bug fixes? Any features on the strips or anything? Thanks for the video but I’m shock to see arturia not saying anything about any of that.
@@synthanatomy Well that's good at least. They really should make that clear up front but not a single video I've watched seems to do that. When are these companies going to learn that transparency is integral for good customer relations?
My guess is they wanted to release this update prior to Christmas to entice some last minute synth shoppers. There is already a good amount of hype right now with there being granular synthesis now. Wish they would've waited a bit to release it with full sample importing. Alas we get what we get. It's free, soooooo...

these are mainly bug fixes from previous firmware updates.
Can you not import your own samples like you can with the Microfreak?
I wrote it in my review on the website. Sample import is coming very soon as another firmware update. It was not ready for this release.
