Gaijin really just ignored all the actually fun thing they could add for the lower tiers of a Benelux ground sub tree and added three Leopard 2 variants.
Look, I'm a French main and I've been complaining about gaijin shafting France for years. This said, adding leopard 2s to now a 4th nation, was not the solution. We needed things like prototype leclercs, the lynx, many of the other existing vehicles, etc. But no. Those actually take effort from gaijin, and can't be completed by an intern in an hour, unlike copying the 2a6 to its 4th nation.
I mean, its still one of the strongest nations, has a pretty fun Toptier Lineup and when the 18C finally arrives it will be top notch. Its just unnecessary to spread Leos to so much TT. France has no reason or need...
@@theDarkside798 I mean, the one 2A7 they have is the reason their winrate is so high. It is still the worst leopard nation in the game. Not to mention when they get the Swiss F/A-18C, its pretty likely sweden will get the Finnish one. So they will still be better (since they still have 3 of the good leopards and the goated CV90120 and ITO sam). Maybe when the eurofighter comes it will help, but italy also gets that so they will still be behind there.
@@NotOlzen yeah sweden has overall the best Leo Lineup, no doubt. Imo the A7V is a bit better than 122+, just my personal experience. Altough (maybe because im german) i still think the German TopTier Lineup it pretty fun, A7V is a beast, PSO is cool and A5&6 are good backups, Puma can work really well in a flank or later in a round, Wiesel is THE best and most fun Rat tank and with the Boxer now there is an insane mobile flanking vehicle for wide and open maps. Tiger UHT can work well and imo PARS mostly works on par with spike lr, sometimes better so heli is still good too. Only a good CAS option missing.
@@theDarkside798 Sweden has the better ground lineup with 3 of the good leos, the better SPAA between the 3, the CV90120, Better CAS than germany but their helicopter is the worst. Italy has a better ground lineup then germany, just not as good as sweden (Centauro 120 and KF41/Freccia for light tanks), but they have the good heli (maybe slightly better then the german Tiger, but thats debatable) and the best of the CAS. So Italy and sweden trades blows, germany is behind in most places. But still not a bad nation ofc, just the worst of the leopard options.

it is a nerf. leopard mains are mad about not being able to have huge gun depression and braindead point and click all around the tank. now at least it takes a little bit of planning instead of taking the great platform that leo2s are and exploiting it.
The point was adding the UAE Leclerc, the Vextra 120mm Prototype and some up gunned AMX-13 like with the 105 mm gun. Now it's gonna be T-80 against Leo on every single match.

The benelux subtree was the worst implementation of a sub tree. Never needed for France and mafe sure the originality of the french tech tree was made moot.
It sucks being a fan of low tier. I really wanted some low tier Benelux vehicles for France, but Gaijin only adds variants of the Leopard 2. I'm tired of all these copy-pastes, I want something original.
I wont see them as much as usa, russia, and germany but i really do think they had better options. Copy paste should be plugging holes where there are no other options, not like now where it is an easy out without any effort
can´t wait to fight with my 2a4 (german ) against the Hungary 2a4 and the french 2a4 and the sweden 2a4 .... Top tier is now just leopard vs leopard and ho the better leopard has wins or ho just better skills has
Im Dutch and main France and Sweden so I like the dutch vehicles in the French tech tree so I don't have to grind an extra tech tree to play my country. But i get that from any other perspective it is not a good addition to france and should have been added to Germany. So i get why people don't like it and I agree with them but for me specifically its quite nice

What’s even the point of playing Germany at this point France Italy Sweden all get our top tier mbts whole France and Italy all get f-16 with great cas performances than Germany their is no uniqueness to playing Germany if all our mbts are given away and the nations that get them have better air tech tree and preform better I spend 2 years grinding Germany on and off dealing with school and other things finally reaching top teir just to deal with the nation I grinded for the tank to be given away to a nation with it’s only mbt that preformed well and our tank gets nerted that’s the cherry ontop

I dont mind it tbh. Leos are by far the best tanks in war thunder and deserve to be balanced. Its still gonna be the best even with the nerf. Also remember how NATO mains cheered about T-series tanks getting an autoloader damage model but now cry about leos having their own realistic balance.

they just had to add the leclerc prototype at 10.7 and amx 13 105 and not these copy paste at 12.0...
