@@subhasish1chttrj Yeah.. It's just the 3 door vs 5 door compatibility I guess.. A lot of parts from the 3 door have gone into the 5 door version... The 5 door never got extensively tested before the launch.. ( we always thought it was a hurried response to the news of 5 door thar)
Have they rectified this in the newer batches? What is your take on the propeller noise on 1st gear when ascending a slope not very fast? And lack of brake sensitivity ?
@@kristrails07 hello Sirji.. It is a hoot of a machine..Make no mistakes here... Axle wrapping is normal and not an issue ( 1st gear grinding noise) .. The bigger problem is the bangle gate.. ( prop shafts rubbing against the underbelly on extreme articulation) but it is reported among 5 to 10 percent of the purchased Jims... Coming to the death wobble, the new part number is yet to be listed on the Maruti website ( search for parts).. Though this should be rectified in newer batches, I doubt if this has begun already.. Having said all of this, we are very satisfied with the capability of the machine.. Good luck to you!!
@@althaf2148 take a screen shot of this video where the journal is showed.. It is clearly mentioned that rotors should be changed.. It is in fact the rotors that cause the wobble..( Uneven wear of the rotors).. Bigger question is... Has it corrected your problem?
Well.. That's a difficult question... I have tried to search with the new part number in the MSIL website and it didn't return any results... The old one though is still listed.. I just hope they address this in the newer batches
What are the design changes in this new Kingpin to address the issue apart from the part number?🙂 Change in width only will cause fitment issues i think.
Nicely explained in black and white. Hope the replacement brought the permanent fix so that the issue won't resurface ( amio IT professional...tai ektu lecture diye nilam aar ki...😂😂)

@snapped9089 Yes... Will definitely do.. I am a little occupied for the last few days but should be free in the coming days.. Will definitely drive and post a feedback here!!
Anyone driving alone should either get someone(who is brave enough) to help record the video or get themself a pair of smart glasses which would make it easier to capture the wobbling video in POV mode.

That is very common problem in most of Maruti’s vehicles.. i have seen this since 2004 in my wagonR.. then i decided never to buy a maruti and never bought one. I saw similar issue with Ignis of one my knowns.. this is a common issue with maruti
This is sad to know.. I hope MSIL is reading this and take necessary steps.. Apart from this.. Jimny is one hell of a machine.. Let me not take anything away !!
Stearing wobble at panic breaking is one of the basic tests before launching the product. MSIL should have taken care of this..
Yeah agree.. But i doubt if this car was driven so much before launching!! ( 20k and above).
Quite unusual for a Suzuki product having problems like this.

@kristrails07 you are most welcome! :)
For me they have changed only the king pins not the disc routers. Now what should I do to get the disc routers replaced?

Did they also change the disc brake pads?
Hello
No they didn't change the disc brake pads..!!
I've booked a jimny and it is to be delivered maybe mid of this month! Do you think it will come with the new part?

Why are you driving with OVRM's closed?

The exact circumstance to replicate this is to drive at a certain speed and brake.. Details are covered in the vlog!

They too have serious wobble issues in traffic.. :D :D I avoid opening them in tight city traffic.. !!
